[Also in Division A6] The ends of the rungs A of a rope ladder are provided with arms KL to hold the ladder away from the wall. The rope is each secured in a hole in the rung by sleeves secured to the rope B on each side of the rung or by a split sleeve D, E tapered towards each end and clamped on the rope by a conical nut H forcing the sleeve into a conical seating F in the rung.
