Abstract

1,021,378. Two-stroke crank-case compression engines. VILLIERS ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. and B. HOOPER. Nov. 2, 1964 [Dec. 17, 1963], No. 49892/63. Heading F1B. In a two stroke crank-case compression engine with an exhaust port 19, main transfer ports 20 and two auxiliary transfer ports 26 arranged between the exhaust port 19 and main transfer ports 20, the auxiliary transfer ports are controlled by slots 25, 28, in the piston skirt adjacent the crown. The axes of the ports 20 intersects at 29 on a line 31 parallel to the cylinder axis, and the axes of the ports 26 intersects on the line 31 at point 30 at which the axis of port 23 also intersects. A further auxiliary transfer port 23 is situated opposite the port 19.
