Abstract

1,011,586. Two-part couplings. COMPAGNIE ELECTRO-MECANIQUE. Feb. 4, 1963 [March 15, 1962], No.4419/63. Heading H2E. An electromagnetic contactor, which is mounted on an insulating support readily removable from a base, has at least one contact 13 for co-operation with a contact carried by the base, the contact 13 being subdivided by parallel slits into three distinct strips 13b, 13c, 13d and the central strip 13c being bent as shown. The contact 13 is U-shaped and is attached to the contactor support by means of ribs on the latter and a spring catch engaging the contact. The base contact is mounted resiliently either by a helical spring, Fig. 1 (not shown), or a leaf spring, Fig. 3, held in position by a spring detent, or a blade held by a screw passing through the body into an oval shaped hole in the blade, Fig. 5 (not shown).
