Abstract
1,059,313. Lamp-caps and holders. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. Aug. 4, 1964 [Aug. 2, 1963], No. 30689/63. Heading H2E. A bulb holder is retained in an aperture in a fixed panel by lugs 22 on the ends of a pair of resilient arms 11 mounted in the bore of the body 10, gripping the edge of the aperture. The arms are bent up from a plate 12 and act as a contact, a connecting piece 14 being attached to the base of the plate. The other contact comprises a resilient strip 16 which is attached to a lug 17, Fig. 2 (not shown), on the body and extends through a slot 15 into the bore. The body is moulded with bayonet recesses 19 and lugs 21, the spaces between which harbour the arms 11 and mate with lugs formed in the aperture. An insulating disc 13 seals the base of the body 10. Two contacts mounted in the same manner as the contact 16, may be provided for use with double pole bulbs, in which case the resilient arms may not necessarily act as contacts.
