Abstract

1291319 Lamp holders R KREEB [trading as RAFI RAIMUND FINSTERHOLZEL ELEKTROTECHNISCHE SPEZIALFABRIK] 26 Aug 1970 [14 May 1970] 41083/70 ,Heading H2E A holder for capless lamps comprises a cupshaped insulating body 1 with recesses 2 through which extend two contact strips 3, 4 of uniform thickness, the portion of each strip within the cup being folded along each longitudinal edge into two branches 5, 6 each of which is bent into resilient U-shaped formation and the portion without forming a plug contact 13, each strip having a slit 10 extending over that part of its length not forming the U except for a residual crosspiece 11. The branches 6 each have a protuberance 12 for engaging a complementary recess on the lamp 8, while the branches 5 make contact with wires from the lamp. The strips 3, 4 are secured in the housing by the lower edges of the branches 5, 6 resting on a crosspiece 16 of the housing and by tabs 15 on the plug contact 13 being bent to bear against the housing. The plug contacts 13 can either mate with a complementary socket (not shown) or be used for soldered connections.
