Abstract

Plates in stack making up heat exchanger each have openings aligned to form ducts through the plates, communicating selectively with the internal spaces. The spacer deformatioins, in the form of cups around the openings, are arranged with their convex sides towards the solid end members containing the inlet and outlet ducts. This arrangement reduces resistance to fluid flow.
