Abstract

Piano tuning block has intermediate layers of wood, on the upper and lower surfaces of which are a first cross-fibre-plywood layer and a second plywood-cross-fibre layer which are arranged such that the fibres between 2 adjacent plywood layers connect at right angles. The plywood layers are bonded to each other with a thermosetting resin adhesive or a film impregnated with the latter. The cross-fibre-plywood layers have a thickness smaller than the intermediate layers.
