Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a nonlinear spring characteristic with a single leaf spring by applying an undulatory initial slackness in a longitudinal direction of the leaf spring to multiple layers of fiber carbide laminated toward a surface layer from a neutral axis of bending in the plate thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:A leaf spring 1 made of FRP is constituted as a lamination layer of reinforced fiber 2 and synthetic resin 3, and multiple layers of reinforced fiber 2 are laminated toward a surface layer 1b from a neutral axis 1a of bending in the plate thickness direction of the FRP lead spring. An undulatory initial slackness is applied to a part of the reinforced fiber in a longitudinal direction of the leaf spring 1, and the degree of the initial slackness is made to vary in the thickness direction of the leaf spring 1. For instance, approximately no initial slackness is applied to the reinforced fiber 2a near the neutral axis 1a, a medium initial slackness to the intermediate reinforced fiber 2b, and the maximum initial slackness to the reinforced fiber 2c of the surface layer 1b.
