Definitions
- the present invention relates to the application of a cosmetic or care product, in particular on the lips or the eyelids.
- US Patent 4,772,148 discloses a flocked tip for application of a product.
- the invention aims in particular to solve the problem mentioned above.
- the present invention thus relates to a tip that can be easily manufactured, which is capable of defining an application surface suitable for producing a neat makeup and is comfortable to use.
- the tip according to the invention is as defined in claim 1.
- Edge portions are understood to be substantially in contact with edge portions touching or being in the immediate vicinity of each other, taking into account manufacturing tolerances.
- the invention makes it possible to obtain a flocking coating having a net contour, which contributes to the aesthetics of the mouthpiece and improves the quality of makeup.
- the use of two assembled parts facilitates the realization of the flocking coating since one of said parts can be separately flocked more easily, with possibly a lower risk of clogging the orifices used for the supply of product by the flocking coating.
- the second portion comprises a flocking coating extending at least as far as an edge portion of said second portion, this edge portion being substantially in contact with a corresponding, unflocked edge portion of the first part, the edge portion of the second part being defined by an edge.
- the second portion comprises a flocking coating extending at least as far as an edge portion of said second portion, this edge portion being substantially in contact with a corresponding, unflocked edge portion of the first portion, the edge portion of said second portion being defined by a free edge thereof.
- the second part comprises a flocking coating extending as far as a line substantially in contact with a corresponding, non-flocked edge portion of the first part, the surface of the second part on which connect the flocking hairs being set back from the outer surface of the edge portion of the first portion.
- the envelope surface of the flocking coating may lie substantially in the continuity of the outer surface of the edge of the first part.
- the envelope surface of the flocking coating may be substantially parallel to an axis of the tip or be transverse to an axis of the tip. There may be no overlap of the flocking coating by the edge portion of the first portion.
- the application surface can be defined by the second part which can be the reported part.
- the second part may have a fully flocked outer face defining the application surface.
- the application surface can also be defined at least partially by the first part.
- the first part comprises a housing in which is fixed the second part.
- This housing preferably has a shape that is complementary to that of the second part.
- the first part may comprise an outer annular skirt not flocked.
- the first and second parts comprise sealing means for ensuring a tight connection of the two parts.
- the two parts can be fixed one into the other by snapping.
- the two parts can be fixed to each other by welding, gluing or hot spinning.
- the second part comprises a grid or consists of a grid.
- the second part advantageously comprises an annular groove or a cavity extending in a closed curve, possibly other than circular.
- this groove or cavity does not have a narrowing of its section at its outer opening, so as to allow the surface of the skin or the lips to penetrate deeper inside if necessary, in order to collect of the product.
- the second part in a particular embodiment, has a variable height so as to define a beveled application surface.
- the second part may comprise an element cooperating with the first part to form a valve able to move under the effect of the pressure of the product.
- This valve protects the product, upstream of the tip, dirt or oxidation.
- the first part may comprise a central part forming a jetbreaker located in or in front of a feed passage of the product.
- the second part comprises a jet-breaking part, located in front of a feed passage of the product.
- the tip application surface may include a beveled surface and a side surface extending around the beveled surface, said beveled and lateral surfaces being flocked.
- the second part may have one or more grooves or cavities and be covered by a flocking coating extending over at least a portion of the inner surface of said grooves or cavities.
- the orifice (s) through which the product feedthrough passages open into the bottom of the one or more grooves or cavities are set back from the application surface by a distance of at least 1 mm.
- the groove or grooves may be flocked over part of their height from the application surface without fear that the flocking coating will unduly impede the flow of the product, because the groove or grooves in question can be relatively wide, two opposite edges being for example more than 1 mm apart, the distance between said edges being preferably chosen so that the surface of the lips or the skin can reach the product contained therein.
- the presence of the groove (s) or cavities is also advantageous in that it can make it possible to absorb excess product present on the application surface and to prevent the product from being driven out of the application surface. when the tip is brought into contact with the surface to be made up or treated.
- the second portion is in the form of a sleeve, covered by a flocking coating on a front face and at least one of its inner and outer side surfaces, preferably the entire of its lateral surface. outside and part of its inner side surface.
- the second part can be made of a flexible material.
- plastics material chosen from the following list: EPDM elastomer, nitrile, latex, thermoplastic elastomer of PS, PET , PU, EVA, PVC, "polynorboren” or relatively rigid thermoplastic such as PP, PE, PS, PET, PC, etc.
- the flocking coating extends to an edge having corrugations.
- the second portion comprises a central portion and a peripheral portion connected by material bridges.
- bridges of material may be non-flocked, especially if they are clearly set back from the application surface.
- the second part can also be flocked in full.
- the nozzle comprises at least one eccentric orifice for supplying the product of the application surface.
- the second part is off-center with respect to the first, which makes it possible, if necessary, to make a more ergonomic endpiece.

- the reservoir can be formed by a body made in one piece with the first part of the tip.
- the device may include a piston for exerting pressure on the product contained in the reservoir for distribution.
- the reservoir may also comprise a compressible wall for dispensing the product by means of a pressure exerted on it, for example by the user.
- the device may further comprise a pump.
- the tank can be removable, and then constitute a refill.
- the reservoir is advantageously displaceable relative to the rest of the device so as to actuate the pump and to dispense a dose of product.
- the device comprises a closure cap comprising at least one inner closure member capable of covering one or more outlet orifices of the product of the nozzle when it is in place thereon.
- the invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a nozzle as defined above, characterized in that the second part is made with a flocking coating and at least one groove or cavity without drilling this groove or cavity after flocking or insertion of an insert into said groove or cavity during flocking.
- the manufacture of the tip is relatively simple.
- FIG. 1 shows a device 10 for packaging and application comprising a tip 11 for the application of the product, a body 18 defining a reservoir 12 containing a cosmetic product P or care and a mechanism 13 for causing the dispensing of a dose of product.

- the user can output a non-central location of the outside face 27 a drop G of product P, as shown in FIG.
- Drop G is here at the lower region of outer face 27.
- annular groove 25 being only partially filled with product P when the latter exits through its lower region 25c, its upper region 25d is capable of to absorb the product during spreading thereof on the application surface, as shown in Figure 6.
- the space 33 may be chosen large enough to allow some recirculation of the product under the grid.
- the circulation of the product from the passage 30 to the region 25c of the groove 25 tends to create, if the speed of the product is sufficient, a drive and suction effect of the product contained in the space 33, which thus mixing with the product gaining the region 25c and causing at least partial emptying of the region 25d.
- the latter can therefore again accept a certain amount of product present in excess on the application surface.
- the width of the groove 25 is chosen so that the surface of the skin or mucous membranes in contact with the tip 11 at the time of application of the product may deform slightly and dive into the product contained in the groove, as shown in Figure 7.
- the flocking coating 28 extends at least up to the peripheral edge 28a of the grid 15, defined by an edge, this edge 28a being in contact with the unpulterated upper end of the skirt 23, which allows to obtain a flocking having a sharp outline from the outside.
- FIGS. 8 to 10 show a tip 40 comprising a support or base portion 41 and an insert element or grid 42.
- the support portion 41 has a lower portion 43 traversed by a central passage 44 communicating with the reservoir containing the product and an upper portion 45 defining a housing 46 in which the attached portion 42 is fixed.
