Definitions
- the invention is based on an incandescent lamp, in particular a halogen incandescent lamp with IR reflection layer according to the preamble of the claim 1.
- This type of lamp is used in general lighting as well used for special lighting purposes, in combination with a Reflector, for example, also in projection technology.
- the rotationally symmetrical shape of the lamp bulb in connection with an IR radiation applied to its inner and / or outer surface reflective coating - hereinafter abbreviated as IR layer - causes a large part of the IR radiation power emitted by the filament is reflected back.
- the lamp efficiency can be achieved with constant electrical power Power consumption for a temperature increase of the filament and consequently use an increase in luminous flux.
- one can specified luminous flux with lower electrical power consumption achieve - an advantageous "energy saving effect".
- Another more desirable The effect is that due to the IR layer, significantly less IR radiation power radiated through the lamp bulb and so that the environment is warmed up than with conventional light bulbs.
- the lamp bulb provided with the IR layer specially shaped.
- EP-A 0 470 496 discloses a lamp with a spherical bulb, a cylindrical luminous element is arranged in the center thereof. This scripture teaches that the loss of efficiency due to the deviation of the Luminous body of the ideal spherical shape under the following conditions can be limited to an acceptable level. Either have piston diameters and filament diameter or length within one Tolerance range are carefully coordinated, or the The diameter of the filament must be significantly smaller (small factor 0.05) than that of the lamp bulb. Also, a lamp with an ellipsoidal Piston specified, in the focal line an elongated filament axially is arranged.
- DE-OS 30 35 068 specifies a teaching for minimizing the latter Embodiment of inevitable aberration losses. After that the two focal points of the ellipsoidal lamp bulb lie on the axis of the cylindrical filament and at predetermined intervals from it respective ends.
- DE-OS 44 20 607 finally discloses a halogen lamp with a Lamp bulb, which as an ellipsoidal or ellipsoid-like barrel body is shaped and provided with an IR layer.
- the ellipsoid or possibly ellipsoid-like part of the contour of the barrel body is formed by an ellipse section generated, whose small semi-axis b perpendicular to the lamp longitudinal axis, i.e. the axis of rotation of the lamp bulb.
- the small semi-axis of the generators is smaller than half the piston diameter D / 2 and about the radius d / 2 of the filament parallel is shifted to the axis of rotation, ultimately resulting in the barrel body results.
- the length of the filament corresponds approximately to the distance between the two Focal points of the generating section of the ellipse.
- the Luminaire positioned within the lamp bulb so that - in the Representation of a longitudinal section - the two focal points with the two corresponding corner points of the filament approximately coincide. However, this heats the filament unevenly.
- Another disadvantage of this solution is that the improvement that can be achieved the lamp efficiency is relatively large from the dimensioning and positioning of the filament within the lamp bulb.
- the invention has for its object to eliminate the disadvantages mentioned and specify an incandescent lamp that is characterized by efficient recycling the emitted IR radiation on the filament and consequently one high efficiency.
- compact lamp dimensions are said are made possible at high luminance levels, as is the case in particular for low-voltage halogen lamps.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of the basic relationships and introduces some parameters that are essential for understanding the invention.
- an ellipse 1 is shown with the large and the small semiaxis a and b as well as with the two focal points F 1 and F 2 .
- the contour of the rotationally symmetrical lamp bulb 2 (shown very schematically; the current leads and the pinch (s) are not shown for the sake of simplicity) is essentially generated by an ellipse section 3 (highlighted in FIG. 1 by a larger line width) of the ellipse 1, the Ellipse section 3 is specifically chosen so that the large semi-axis a is oriented perpendicular to the axis of rotation RA of the lamp bulb 2.
- a luminous element 4 with a rotationally symmetrical, for example circular cylindrical, outer contour (shown as a rectangle in the schematic longitudinal section in FIG. 1) is arranged centrally axially inside the lamp bulb 2.
- the large semi-axis a of the generatrix is longer than the radius R of the lamp bulb 2, ie at least the apex points of the ellipse 1 defined by the small semi-axis b are not included in the ellipse section 3.
- the lamp bulb 2 no longer has the shape of a "real" rotational ellipsoid.
- this departure from the previous teaching results in a significant increase in lamp efficiency and a more uniform heating of the luminous element 4.
- the length of the large semi-axis a is selected from the range R ⁇ a ⁇ R + 5 ⁇ w r , in particular from the range R + w r a a ⁇ R + 3w r .
- R and w r denote the largest radius of the lamp bulb 2 and the radius of the cylindrical or cylinder-like luminous element 4.
- the small semi-axis b of the generating elliptical section 3 is approximately twice the length of the luminous element 4.
- Figure 2a corresponds essentially to the conditions in DE-OS 30 35 068. It shows an ellipsoidal lamp bulb 5, inside of which a luminous element 6 is arranged axially in the center such that the two focal points F 1 and F 2 of the ellipsoid of revolution with the ends of the filament 6 coincide.
- the focal axis F 1 F 2 is consequently oriented parallel to the axis of rotation RA of the lamp bulb 5, in contrast to the present invention.
- FIG. 2b finally shows the conditions in DE-OS 44 20 607 again.
- the lamp bulb 7 is shaped as an ellipsoidal or ellipsoidal barrel body.
- the schematic sectional illustration shows two ellipse halves which are connected to one another by means of two straight sections.
- the focal pairs F 1 , F 2 and F 1 ', F 2 ' of the two halves of the ellipse coincide with the corner points of the luminous element 8.
- the focal axes F 1 F 2 respectively.
- An advantage of the present invention is - besides increasing efficiency - the also increased uniformity with which the IR radiation onto the Wendel is reflected back. This will cause local overheating can lead to premature destruction of the coil. It is also advantageous that the achievable improvement in lamp efficiency compared to DE-OS 44 20 607 less of production-related Fluctuations in the positioning of the filament within the Piston depends.
- Axially arranged single or double filaments made of tungsten are used as the illuminant.
- the luminous body is connected in an electrically conductive manner to two power supply lines, either both together at one end of the lamp envelope or separately at the two opposite ends of the lamp bulb are gas-tight to the outside. Sealing is generally done about a bruise. Another closing technique is also possible, e.g. a melting plate. The version closed on one side is particularly suitable for NV applications. In this case, leave very compact lamp dimensions due to the relatively short filament realize.
- the lamp bulb at one or at both ends in the area of the Current leadthrough has a lamp neck.
- the lamp neck surrounds the current feedthrough is as narrow as possible and merges into a seal. details this can be found in DE-OS 44 20 607.
- the lamp bulb is usually filled with inert gas, for example with N 2 , Xe, Ar and / or Kr.
- inert gas for example with N 2 , Xe, Ar and / or Kr.
- halogen additives which maintain a tungsten-halogen cycle in order to counteract blackening of the bulb.
- the lamp bulb is made of a translucent material, such as quartz glass.
- the lamp can be operated with an outer bulb. Become a special one strong reduction of the IR power emitted into the environment if desired, this can also have an IR layer.
- the IR layer can be used, for example, as an interference filter known per se. usually a sequence of alternating dielectric layers of different Refractive indices - be executed.
- the basic structure of suitable IR layers is e.g. explained in EP-A 0 470 496.
- a first embodiment of a lamp 9 according to the invention is shown schematically. It is a halogen incandescent lamp with a nominal voltage of 12 V and a nominal power of 35 W. It consists of a lamp bulb 10 squeezed on one side, which is shaped as an ellipsoid-like body.
- the generatrix of the ellipsoidal partial contour of the lamp bulb 10 is an ellipse section, the large semi-axis of which is 7.4 mm long and oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the lamp 9.
- the small semi-axis of the generators is 6.3 mm long.
- the lamp bulb 10 is made of quartz glass with a wall thickness of approximately 1 mm and has a largest outer diameter of 12 mm.
- the lamp bulb 10 merges into a neck 11 which ends in a pinch seal 12.
- the lamp bulb 10 has a pump tip 13.
- the IR layer also covers approximately half of the pinch seal 12. In this way, a particularly dimensionally stable shape of the IR layer 14 is achieved, since during the manufacture of the lamp bulb 10, the outer surface of the calculated contour of the ellipsoidal body is embossed , On the other hand, due to the expansion of the IR layer 14 over part of the pinch seal 12, the individual layers in the region of the piston surface are particularly uniform. This reduces color errors.
- the length of the lamp neck 11 is approximately 2.5 mm with an outer diameter of approximately 6 mm.
- the luminous element 15 is made of tungsten wire with a diameter of 152 ⁇ m.
- the tungsten wire is wound into a simple helix with a pitch of 243 ⁇ m.
- the current leads 16a, b are formed directly by the spiral wire and connected with molybdenum foils 17a, b in the pinch seal 12.
- the Molybdenum foils 17a, b are in turn connected to outer socket pins 18a, b.
- the first power supply line 16a is almost parallel to the lamp axis and essentially aligned with the outer surface of the filament 15 led.
- the second power supply 16b of the filament 15 is for Lamp longitudinal axis bent and runs centrally along the axis of the Turns of the filament 15, i.e. inside the helix, to the end remote from the base. In this way, any shadowing of the Radiation from a power supply avoided.
- the lamp 9 has a color temperature of approximately 3050 K.
- the luminous flux is 1000 lm, corresponding to a luminous efficacy of approx. 28 lm / W.
- Lamp without IR layer is one for the same luminous flux electrical power consumption of approx. 50 W required. Consequently, in In comparison with the lamp according to the invention up to 42% of the electrical Performance can be saved.
- Two further exemplary embodiments for a 50 W or 65 W halogen incandescent lamp - likewise for 12 V operation - differ only in the ellipse parameters of the generators for the lamp bulbs and in the filament parameters.
- the structure corresponds in each case to that of FIG. 1.
- the following table compares the parameters mentioned for the three exemplary embodiments.
