Definitions
- the invention relates to a container with at least one Wall made from at least one arch-like segment which is a backing layer and a protective layer contains and has at least one edge that of a Protective cover is enclosed, the inner surface and the outer surface of at least that adjacent to the edge Covered area of the segment, which reduced such a Thickness has that segment including the protective cover an overall at least approximately the same Has thickness, with the backing layer in that of the protective cover area to be covered is compressed.
- DE-A-30 23 835 a container is described which consists of is composed of several walls. Each wall contains one Backing layer made of paper and at least one the backing layer covering protective layer after assembly points to the inside of the container.
- a segment is shaped in such a way that an essentially cylindrical body is created.
- an end region of the segment projects with an edge in the inside of the container.
- the edge protruding into the interior of the container is marked with a Protective cover enclosed.
- the protective layer serves as a protective cover of the segment that is bent by 180 ° in the area of the edge is so that the edge itself and the adjoining it Areas of the segment enclosed by the protective cover are.
- the carrier layer in the end region containing the edge scraped the segment so that the segment there in essentially only has half the material thickness. Then becomes a longitudinal groove in the center line of the scraped off Area formed and adhesive on the scraped area upset. Eventually the scraped area bent along the longitudinal groove by 180 ° and glued together. This creates a protective cover in the area of the edge, by the bent protective layer of the segment is formed and the edge itself and the two each other opposite sides of the segment following covered the edge.
- the thickness of the segment Overall at least approximately.
- the segment therefore has a protective cover an overall at least approximately the same Thickness.
- US-A-31 57 337 is a container according to the preamble of claim 1 described, whose jacket by spiral winding several Material webs is produced.
- the coat contains several protective layers and a backing layer in the area an edge is covered by a protective cover. Of the area of the carrier layer covered by the protective cover condensed, so that the coat is a constant overall Has thickness.
- the carrier layer is apparently compacted during spiral winding, the protective layer and the protective cover is not compressed.
- EP 0 527 647 A2 shows a container in which a helical seam at the edges of helical strips of paper or cardboard wound on one another is formed, which later easy opening of the cylindrical Container should allow.
- the overlapping edge areas slightly compressed before wrapping and provided with a temporary adhesive that do not penetrate fully into the material due to the material compression and therefore can be solved again.
- the object is achieved in that the protective layer of the segment in the area to be covered by the protective cover is compressed.
- the inventive design leads to the advantage that the reduction the thickness of the segment in that of the protective cover too covering area in a particularly simple and cost-effective manner Way can take place. After applying the protective cover the segment has a reduced thickness, used for the manufacture of the container, a overall at least approximately constant thickness.
- the constant thickness enables simplified production of the container. Segments of constant thickness can be particularly good in stacks of a machine for manufacturing Containers are presented. It is also possible to have a variety of segments into a cardboard tape, which in rolled-up form of a machine for manufacturing containers can be presented.
- the invention can be usefully used in all containers, in which a medium is to be prevented, in particular the filling material penetrates into the wall of the container.
- the area of the edge is the surface of the segment leading to a Wall of the container to be processed, often broken open, especially if the edge is cut or Stamping is made.
- the protective cover can be similar or similar in the area of the edges Protection can be established as it is in other areas of the container. Comes on the outer shape of the container not at it.
- the protective cover compacted even in the area of the segment to be covered become.
- the invention can be applied to all edges which a container should be covered with a protective cover.
- This opening can advantageously be covered by a pull tab be, the area covered by the tear tab of the Segment also has a reduced thickness.
- the segment is then both in the area covered by the protective cover Opening as well as in those covered by the pull tab Area of essentially constant thickness.
- the segment can advantageously be compacted by that mechanical pressure is exerted in the area to be compressed becomes.
- the container 1 shown in Figures 1 and 3 is a can educated. It consists of a cylindrical jacket 2, a circular bottom 4 and a circular cover 3 together.
- the lid 3 is provided with an opening 7, which with a Pull tab 8 can be closed.
- the tear tab 8 is in Figure 3 in a position folded away from the opening 7 shown.
- the wall 5 of the lid 3, the wall of the bottom 4 and the wall 6 of the jacket 2 are inextricably linked and together form a uniform wall of the container 1.
- the jacket 2 of the container 1 by an essentially circular in cross section extending wall 6 formed.
- the wall 6 becomes one arcuate segment 6 '(see FIG. 5).
- the wall 6 now has the shape a sleeve, so it runs, as can be seen from Figure 2, circular in cross-section. This circular shape will not change in the course of the further manufacturing process change more.
- the production stage now reached the sleeve-shaped wall 6 shown in Figure 15.
- the lid 3 and the bottom 4 are each made of an arc Segment produced, with only the segment 5 'for the Cover 3 in Figures 10, 11 and 12 is shown in the drawing.
- the circular, arcuate segments 5 ' are along the Bending edge 57 deformed such that a protruding at the cover 3 Edge 18 (see also FIG. 4) and a protruding one at the bottom 4 Edge 19 is formed.
- FIG. 6 shows wall 6 which is circular in cross section segment 6 'shown in FIG. 8 is used.
- the Segment 6 'of FIG. 8 is before being deformed with a first one Embodiment of a protective cover 24 provided, which also in the shaped wall 6 of Figure 6 is shown.
- the wall 6 of the casing 2 a carrier layer 22, preferably paper or cardboard, and consists of a protective layer 23.
- Both the backing layer 22 and the protective layer 23 can consist of several layers of material consist.
- the protective layer 23 covering the inner surface 12 the wall 6 forms, serves to protect the contents and can for example also contain an aluminum layer.
- an additional protective layer is not provided in the outer surface 11 in the embodiment shown here. It is of course conceivable with other versions, such Protective layer, for example to protect the container 1 or Contents before external influences, on the outer surface 11 to attach the wall 6.
- the segment 6 ' has an area 27 covered by the protective cover 24 such reduced thickness that the total thickness including the Protective cover 24 of the segment 6 'at least approximately the same is as large as the thickness of the segment 6 'in the remaining areas.
- the thickness of the region 27 corresponds to the embodiment 8 shows the thickness of region 27 of FIG. 6.
- the protective cover 24 has a constant thickness.
- the Area 35 of the protective layer 23 has a reduced thickness.
- the segment 42 in the area 43 containing the edge 13 a reduced one Thickness.
- the area 44 of the carrier layer 22 is the area 35 of the protective layer 23 and that on the surfaces 11 and 12 adjacent areas 40 and 41 of the protective cover 39 in thickness reduced. The reduction is such that segment 42 is a overall constant thickness.
- FIG Edge 13 In the embodiment shown in FIG Edge 13 through a second embodiment of a protective cover 25 covered.
- This protective cover 25 is in one piece with the protective layer, which forms the inner surface 12 of the wall 6. There is therefore no additional protective cover.
- the area 28 of the segment 55 forming the wall 6 is in FIG Thickness reduced so that a segment 55 with a constant overall Thickness is obtained.
- the reduced thickness of area 28 of the segment 55 is made by densifying the region 28 of the carrier layer 22 obtained, the thickness of which is reduced.
- the protective cover 24; 25; 39 is in all embodiments in the Segments 6 '; 42; 55 already existed before this to the Wall 6 of the jacket 2 are deformed.
- the edge protection at the opening 7 of the Segment 5 ' shown for the wall 5 of the lid 3.
- the Edge protection consists of a protective cover 45 which has an edge 49 covers that along the edge of the introduced into the segment 5 ' Opening runs. In the one covered by the protective cover 45 Area 46 is reduced in thickness.
- the opening 7 provided with the protective cover 45 is as above already mentioned, can be closed by a pull tab 8.
- the tear tab 8 is with an adjacent part 47 on the outer surface 9 of segment 5 ', preferably by heat sealing, attached. In the area 50 in which the segment 5 ' is covered by the adjacent part 47 of the pull tab 8, the segment is 5 'less thick.
- the tear tab 8 has a pivotable part 48 which in FIG. 11 in a position 48 ′ folded away from the opening 7 and in Figure 12 in a position closing the opening 7 is shown. In the area in which the pivotable part 48 comes into contact with the segment 5 'after sealing this one area 51 with reduced thickness. It is often enough but to provide the reduced thickness only where the Protective cover 45 is located.
