Claims (11)
1. Fremgangsmåde til at skelne en kontrolopløsning fra en biologisk prøve under anvendelse af en elektrokemisk sensor, hvor den elektrokemiske sensor måler mængden af en analyt, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter følgende trin: tilvejebringelse af en kontrolopløsning, der inkluderer en indre referenceforbindelse, en buffer og en forudbestemt mængde analyt, hvilken indre referenceforbindelse har et højere potentiale end det potentiale, der er nødvendigt for at måle oxidationen af analytten, og hvilken indre referenceforbindelse er forskellig fra bufferen; tilvejebringelse af en elektrokemisk sensor (10), der har en arbejdselektrode (16), en modelektrode (18) og mindst ét reagens (22); indførelse af kontrolopløsningen i den elektrokemiske sensor; påføring af et første potentiale på den elektrokemiske sensor, der er tilstrækkeligt til at oxidere analytten og utilstrækkeligt til at oxidere den indre referenceforbindelse, og måling af den resulterende første elektriske strøm; efter påføring af det første potentiale påføring af et andet potentiale på den elektrokemiske sensor, hvilket andet potentiale er tilstrækkeligt til at oxidere analytten og den indre referenceforbindelse, og måling af den resulterende anden elektriske strøm; som reaktion på, at forholdet mellem den anden elektriske strøm og den første elektriske strøm er tilstrækkeligt større end 1, bestemmelse af, at en kontrolopløsning er til stede, og som reaktion på, at forholdet mellem den anden elektriske strøm og den første elektriske strøm er ca. 1, bestemmelse af, at en biologisk prøve er til stede.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor analytten er glucose.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor prøven er en biologisk prøve.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 3, hvor den biologiske prøve er fuldblod.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor den indre referenceforbindelse er en oxiderbar organometallisk forbindelse, en koordinationsforbindelse eller en organisk aminforbindelse.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 5, hvor den indre referenceforbindelse er en organisk aminforbindelse.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 6, hvor den organiske aminforbindelse er 3-(N-morpholino)-propansulfonsyre, N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-piperazin-N1-(2-ethansulfonsyre), 2-[(2-hydroxy- 1,1-bis(hydroxymethyl)-ethylamino]-ethansulfonsyre, 2- morphholinoethansulfonsyre, bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-amino- tris(hydroxymethyl)-methan-[bis-tris], 4-aminobenzonitril, 4-aminobenzoesyre eller 4-iodanilin.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 5, hvor den indre referenceforbindelse er en oxiderbar organometallisk forbindelse.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 8, hvor den oxiderbare organometalliske forbindelse er ferrocen eller et ferrocenderivat.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 5, hvor den indre referenceforbindelse er en koordinationsforbindelse.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 10, hvor koordinationsforbindelsen er kaliumferrocyanid.
