Document holding strip for the temporary fastening and presentation of documents, consisting of a hollow profile rod (1) which has a slot (7) along its underside, and holding bodies (12) arranged in a row in the hollow profile rod with a transverse dimension exceeding the width of the slot, which hold the documents (18, 19) pushed through the slot with their upper edge, characterized in that the holding bodies are balls (12) and the hollow profile rod has an inner width which decreases downwards towards the slot (7), which in its narrowest part has a smaller dimension than the diameter of the balls.

2. Document holding strip according to claim 1, characterized in that the hollow cross section of the hollow profile bar (1) in the vicinity of the slot (7) has the shape of an acute angle, the apex of which is cut off to form the slot.

3. Document holding strip according to claim 1, characterized in that the hollow profile bar has a wall provided with longitudinal steps (27, 28) adjacent to the slot (7).

4. Document holding strip according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the balls (12) are glass balls.

5. Document holding strip according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the balls (12) have a roughened surface.

6. Document holding strip according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the slot (7) has a width of 5 to 9 mm and the balls have the same diameter of 10 to 18 mm.

7. Document holding strip according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the balls (12) are loosely arranged in the longitudinal direction of the strip with a total free space in the order of 2 to 12% of the total length.

8. Document holding strip according to claim 1 ₁ , characterized in that the total free space between the balls (12) is approximately 7 to 8% of the total length.
