Abstract

Description
本发明涉及一种热塑性弹性体组合物。本发明还涉及包括所述热塑性弹性体组合物的制品。本发明也涉及所述热塑性弹性体组合物的用途。
由“Handbook of Thermoplastic Elastomer”,第三章,Van NostrandReinhold,New York(19**)已知热塑性弹性体组合物。所描述的热塑性弹性体组合物包括热塑性聚烯烃聚合物、弹性体和油的共混物。典型地,弹性体是高分子量橡胶并是充油的。这种类型的弹性体用于得到具有良好机械和弹性性质的弹性体组合物。在制备热塑性弹性体期间,通常添加一些额外的油以改善最终组合物的流动性质。尽管已知的热塑性弹性体组合物通常具有所希望的性质,但是这些组合物在例如医药、食品或汽车内部应用上不总是优选的,这是由于存在于热塑性弹性体组合物中的油或其它低分子组分的迁移。油的迁移和流失是个问题,这由EP-A-574169和JP-A-03261728已知。在这些申请中,公开了基于EPDM或EPM的橡胶组合物,其中,通过使用最少量的油或根本不使用油来减少油的流失。然而,这些申请没有提到减少低分子组分的迁移问题。
US-A-6100333中公开了低分子组分的迁移。通过一系列聚合生产的硫化聚烯烃组合物采用油补充剂(oil extender)浸渍以调节组合物的硬度。公开了通过用油浸渍聚烯烃组合物明显降低了低分子组分的起霜模糊趋势。
然而,在例如经包装的食品产品,特别是包括脂肪的食品中,需要不使用油来减少低分子组分的迁移和起霜,否则这些食品是不能用于消费的。
本发明的目的在于提供一种低分子组分(特别是在乙醇中可萃取的低分子组分)迁移量低的热塑性弹性体组合物。
该目的通过以下热塑性弹性体组合物来实现,该组合物包括:
(a)5-95重量%的无油弹性体
(b)95-5重量%的包含20-50重量份的结晶聚烯烃聚合物和50-80重量份的弹性体烯烃共聚物的聚烯烃组合物,其中总重量份数是100。
令人惊讶地,已经发现当热塑性弹性体组合物包括组分(a)和(b)时,在乙醇中可萃取的低分子组分的迁移量明显减少。而且,令人惊讶的是,用无油弹性体来替代油仍使制造的热塑性弹性体具有良好物理性质和加工性能。根据本发明的无油弹性体(a)是未用适量的油补充的弹性体,也被称为非充油(non oil-extended)弹性体。非充油弹性体的实例是乙烯-丙烯共聚物(此后被称为EPM)、乙烯-丙烯-二烯烃三元聚合物(此后被称为EPDM)、天然橡胶、苯乙烯-丁二烯橡胶(SBR)、腈-丁二烯橡胶(NBR)、聚异戊二烯、丁基橡胶或卤代丁基橡胶。优选地,EPM或EPDM用作非充油弹性体。EPDM优选包含50-90重量份的乙烯单体单元、48-30重量份源自α-烯烃的单体单元和1-12重量份源自非共轭二烯的单体单元。作为α-烯烃,优选使用丙烯。作为非共轭二烯,优选使用二环戊二烯(DCPD)、5-亚乙基-2-降冰片烯(ENB)或乙烯基降冰片烯(VNB)或其混合物。更优选地,EPM和EPDM的混合物用作无油弹性体。在使用EPM和EPDM的混合物的情况下,EPM/EPDM的重量比在10/90-90/10之间变化。无油弹性体的量占热塑性弹性体组合物的5-95重量%,优选地在25-75重量%之间变化。然而,无油弹性体可以被其它聚合物替代,只要它们不包括油,例如苯乙烯基聚合物,如SBS、SEBS或SEPS。
聚烯烃组合物(b)包括20-50重量份结晶聚烯烃和50-80重量份弹性体烯烃共聚物,其中总重量份数是100。更优选地,聚烯烃组合物包括20-40重量份结晶聚烯烃和60-80重量份弹性体烯烃共聚物,其中总重量份数是100。最优选地,聚烯烃组合物包括30-40重量份结晶聚烯烃和60-70重量份弹性体烯烃共聚物,其中总重量份数是100。
优选地,聚烯烃组合物包括20-50重量份结晶聚烯烃和50-80重量份具有烯烃CH2=CHR的弹性体烯烃共聚物(其中,R是具有1-10个碳原子的烷基),如果适当的话,该弹性体烯烃共聚物包含少部分源自多烯烃的单元。
结晶聚烯烃优选自聚丙烯均聚物和包含0.5-15mol%乙烯和/或具有4-10个碳原子的α-烯烃的丙烯共聚物,所述丙烯聚合物例如具有大于3.5的分子量分布(MWD)。
丙烯均聚物优选具有大于85或更优选大于90的全同立构指数(通过测量在二甲苯中的溶解度来确定)。优选地,丙烯聚合物具有大于5的MWD,通常为5-50。丙烯聚合物的熔融指数(ASTM 1238条件“L”)通常为0.1-50g/10分钟。优选地,熔融指数为0.1-30。丙烯共聚物例如包括2-10mol%的除了丙烯之外的α-烯烃。优选地,α-烯烃选自包括乙烯、1-丁烯、1-己烯、1-辛烯和4-甲基-1-戊烯的组。这些之中,特别优选的是乙烯和1-丁烯。
本发明的丙烯聚合物可以根据已知技术在传统的Ziegler/Natta催化剂的存在下通过将丙烯(如果适当的话,在乙烯或其它α-烯烃的存在下)聚合来制备,该催化剂包括烷基铝和固态组分(包括负载在MgCl2上的活性过渡金属)之间的反应产物。例如EP-A-395083、EP-A-553805和EP-A-553806中描述了用于制备丙烯聚合物的适当方法,该描述涉及制备方法和产物的特性,其通过引用插入此处。
弹性体烯烃共聚物优选选自乙烯与α-烯烃CH2=CHR的共聚物,其中,R是具有1-6个碳原子的烷基。更优选地,α-烯烃是丙烯或丁烯。在所述共聚物中,源自乙烯的单元的重量含量优选的是40-70%,更优选的是50-70%,最优选的是60-70%。源自α-烯烃的单元的重量含量优选的是30-60%,更优选的是30-50%,最优选的是30-40%。特别优选的是包括0.1-20重量%,优选1-10%,的源自多烯烃的单元的共聚物。这种多烯烃可以选自包括反式-1,4-己二烯、顺式-1,4-己二烯、6-甲基-1,5-庚二烯、3,7-二甲基-1,6-辛二烯和11-甲基-1,10-十二烷二烯、单环二烯烃(例如,顺式-1,5-环辛二烯和5-甲基-1,5-环辛二烯)、双环二烯烃(例如,4,5,8,9-四氢化茚和6-和/或7-甲基-4,5,8,9-四氢化茚)、烯基或亚烷基降冰片烯(例如,5-亚乙基-2-降冰片烯、5-异亚丙基-2-降冰片烯和外-5-异亚丙基-2-降冰片烯)、多元环二烯烃(例如,双环戊二烯、三环-[6.2.1.02,7]4,9-十一烷烯和其4-甲基衍生物)、1,4-己二烯、异戊二烯、1,3-丁二烯、1,5-己二烯、1,6-庚二烯等的组。这些之中,特别优选的是5-亚乙基-2-降冰片烯。弹性体乙烯共聚物优选具有低结晶度。优选地,用在本发明中的弹性乙烯共聚物具有小于3的MWD,通常为2-3。
弹性体烯烃共聚物可以有利地在催化体系(包括茂金属化合物和铝氧烷)的存在下通过将乙烯、α-烯烃和多烯烃(如果适当的话)聚合来制备。
聚烯烃组合物(b)可以通过已知的方法来制备,例如通过Banbury型内混机(具有高均化能力)机械混合两种组分。或者,所述组合物可以有利地通过一系列聚合在反应器中直接得到。实际上根据这个技术得到的组合物比通过间断机械混合得到的组合物的弹性要好。以上聚烯烃组合物(b)优选通过WO-A-9635751中描述的方法来制备。这些聚烯烃组合物(也被称为Reactor-TPO)可通过商业途径获得,商品名为Hifax。
然而,聚烯烃组合物(b)可以用其它聚合物(例如无定形聚丙烯或在现有技术领域已知作为Plastomers的乙烯共聚物)来替代。
包括(a)和(b)的热塑性弹性体组合物优选包括0.02-10重量%可选具有活性助剂的交联剂,从而,热塑性弹性体组合物的总量是100。
可用的交联剂通常是本领域中已知的那些,例如硫、含硫化合物、金属氧化物、马来酰亚胺、酚醛树脂或过氧化物。这些硫化(硬化)体系是本领域公知的,并在US-A-5100947中描述。还可以使用硅烷化合物作为硫化剂,实例是含氢硅烷或乙烯基烷氧基硅烷。可以用硅烷将弹性体进行自由基接枝,该硅烷具有至少一个烯烃双键和一到三个直接键合到硅上的烷氧基。接枝的弹性体在H2O或缩合反应的作用下交联。这种硫化体系是本领域公知的,并在EP-A-510559中描述。优选地,有机过氧化物、酚醛树脂或含氢硅烷用作交联剂。
有机过氧化物的实例是二枯基过氧化物、二叔丁基过氧化物、2,5-二甲基-(2,5-二叔丁基过氧)己烷、1,3-二(叔丁基过氧异丙基)苯、1,1-二(叔丁基过氧)-2,3,5-三甲基环己烷、苯甲酰过氧化物、2,4-二氯苯甲酰过氧化物、过氧苯甲酸叔丁酯、过氧异丙基碳酸叔丁酯、二乙酰基过氧化物、月桂酰过氧化物、叔丁基枯基过氧化物。
交联剂的量相对于热塑性弹性体组合物的总重优选的是0.02-10重量%,更优选的是0.4-5重量%。
在硫化过程中,可选使用活性助剂。合适的活性助剂的实例是聚丁烯、液态1,2-聚丁二烯、异戊二烯、丁二烯/异戊二烯混合物、二烯基苯、硫、对-苯醌二肟、硝基苯、二苯基胍、三芳基氰尿酸酯、三羟甲基丙烷-N,N-间-亚苯基二马来酰亚胺、乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、聚乙二醇二甲基丙烯酸酯、三羟甲基丙烷三甲基丙烯酸酯、甲基丙烯酸芳酯、乙烯基丁酯、硬脂酸乙烯酯。活性助剂的量相对于热塑性弹性体组合物的总量优选的是0-2.00重量%。
在硫化情况下,优选的是动态硫化。当根据这项技术进行时,使本发明的组合物例如在140-300℃的温度下,优选地在240-300℃的温度下或更优选地在高于结晶相熔点的温度下在交联剂和活性助剂(如果适当的话)的存在下捏合或进行其它剪切作用。
弹性体组合物的硫化度可以用凝胶含量表示。凝胶含量是浸泡在有机溶剂中的弹性体的未溶解的弹性体的量与样品弹性体的总重(以重量计)的比。US-A-5100947中描述了这个方法。在通常的情况下,样品在弹性体的有机溶剂中浸泡48小时。在称重样品和残余物后,基于已知的热塑性弹性体组合物中的所有组分的相对量,计算未溶解的弹性体和总弹性体的量。弹性体组合物至少部分硫化。
根据本发明的热塑性弹性体组合物还可以包括例如增强填料和非增强填料、增塑剂、抗氧剂、稳定剂、抗静电剂、蜡、发泡剂、润滑剂、颜料、阻燃剂和其它在例如Rubber World Magazine Blue Book中描述的已知试剂。可用的填料实例是碳酸钙、粘土、硅土、滑石、二氧化钛和碳。润滑剂的实例是例如脂肪酸、羊毛脂、胶、松香的天然物和例如硫化油膏(factice)的改性的天然物。
本发明的热塑性弹性体组合物(a)、(b)还可以包括苯乙烯基聚合物。苯乙烯基聚合物的实例是苯乙烯-异丁烯-苯乙烯聚合物(SIBS)、苯乙烯-异丁烯聚合物(SIB)、苯乙烯-乙烯-丁烯-苯乙烯聚合物(SEBS)和苯乙烯-丁二烯-苯乙烯聚合物(缩写为SBS)。优选地,SBS或SEBS用作苯乙烯基聚合物。苯乙烯基聚合物的量可以例如在2-50重量%,优选地在5-40重量%,更优选地在5-20重量%之间变化,从而,热塑性弹性体组合物的总重是100。
热塑性弹性体组合物例如在通常的混合装置(例如,Banbury混合机、Brabender混合机、例如单螺杆挤出机、双螺杆挤出机的连续混合机等)中制备。优选地,热塑性弹性体组合物在双螺杆挤出机中制备。在硫化情况下,交联剂和活性助剂在挤出机下游的位置上一起加入或分批加入。在热塑性弹性体组合物中存在苯乙烯基聚合物的情况下,交联剂在苯乙烯基聚合物以前或以后加入。优选地,在注射苯乙烯基聚合物以前,加入交联剂。苯乙烯基聚合物还可以在挤出机的入口处与无油弹性体(a)和聚烯烃组合物(b)一起加入。热塑性弹性体组合物还可以以两步工艺来制备:将无油弹性体(a)、聚烯烃组合物(b)和常规添加剂加到间歇式捏合机中以混合该组合物;此后,可以造粒。在硫化的情况下,颗粒例如可以加到双螺杆挤出机中。交联剂和可选苯乙烯基聚合物可以在挤出机下游的位置上一起加入或分批加入。然而,苯乙烯聚合物还可以加到间歇式捏合机中或加到双螺杆挤出机的入口处。
令人惊讶地,根据本发明的热塑性弹性体组合物具有低硬度使得聚合物可利用不同技术加工。硬度例如低于70Shore A,优选的是低于65Shore A。
根据本发明的热塑性弹性体组合物可以通过例如挤出、模制(例如注塑、吹塑或热塑)等所有工艺来制备制品。制品的实例是书写用具、各种容器的密封、储存罐、食品保存用密封垫圈、各种容器的盖和隔板密封。
根据本发明的热塑性弹性体组合物可以用在食品包装、工业应用、消费应用、食品消费应用、医药应用、汽车内部部件密封和低雾性(lowfogging)应用,例如,安全气袋和仪表盘中。
以下实施例用于解释的目的并非限制发明本身。
热塑性弹性体组合物的不同性质通过以下测试方法来分析:
●硬度,根据ASTM D-2240
●在220℃,206l/s下的表观剪切粘度,根据ASTM D-3835
●压缩变形率根据ISO 815
●萃取物的迁移量,根据EC 2002-72
关于迁移测试,乙醇中萃取物的量根据下述过程来确定:
—95%乙醇用作萃取液,它通过将950ml乙醇(Lichrosolv,>99.9%)加到50ml Demi-Water中并随后搅拌来制备。
在使用前,所有玻璃容器用萃取液仔细清洗。
—样品切成片。
—在萃取前,将样品用薄纸和乙醇清洗以除去灰尘和其它污染物。
—将100ml Schott反应瓶用萃取液仔细清洗并干燥。
—将约1dm2(1dm2=12.68g)的样品放入Schott反应瓶中。
—按照每dm2约100ml将萃取液加到反应瓶中。
—将样品在40℃下萃取240h。
—将萃取液在50℃下在铝盘中蒸发至干燥。反应瓶用3×20ml的萃取液冲洗,该萃取液也被蒸发。在使用前,将铝盘用萃取液仔细清洗、干燥并称重。
—将剩余物通过称重来确定。
—该实验进行7次。
—还进行空白测试(除样品外包括全部步骤)。结果用空白值校正。
实施例1
将21.53重量%的EPM(ML(1+4)100℃51)、75.35重量%的Hifax 7334XEP和0.43重量%的添加剂在260℃的熔融温度下在40mm的同向双螺杆挤出机中混合。在挤出机的下游注射入2.69重量%的Trigonox101E30。这个组合物的性质和结果列于表1中。
实施例2
将14.40重量%的EPM(ML(1+4)100℃51)、14.40重量%的EDPM(ML(1+4)100℃55)、67.21重量%的Hifax 7334XEP和0.38重量%的添加剂在260℃的熔融温度下在40mm的同向双螺杆挤出机中混合。在挤出机的下游注射入3.60重量%的Trigonox 101E30。这个组合物的性质和结果列于表1中。
实施例3
将17.91重量%的EPM(ML(1+4)100℃51)、8.96重量%的EPDM(ML(1+4)100℃55)、62.70重量%的Hifax 7334XEP、0.35重量%的添加剂和6.72重量%的SEBS在260℃的熔融温度下在40mm的同向双螺杆挤出机中混合。在挤出机的下游注射入3.36重量%的Trigonox101E30。这个组合物的性质和结果列于表1中。
实施例4
将14.40重量%的EPM(ML(1+4)100℃51)、14.40重量%的EPDM(ML(1+4)100℃55)、70.81重量%的Hifax 7334XEP和0.38重量%的添加剂在260℃的熔融温度下在40mm的同向双螺杆挤出机中混合。这个组合物的性质和结果列于表1中。
实施例5
将14.40重量%的EPM(ML(1+4)100℃51)、14.40重量%的EPDM(ML(1+4)100℃55)、62.21重量%的Hifax 7334XEP和0.35重量%的添加剂在260℃的熔融温度下在40mm的同向双螺杆挤出机中混合。在挤出机的下游注射入3.36重量%的Trigonox 101E30和5重量%的Ricon 154D。这个组合物的性质和结果列于表1中。
对比例A
将62.32重量%的充油EPDM(包括100phr的油)、14.08重量%的聚丙烯和5.87重量%的滑石在40mm的同向螺杆挤出机中混合。在下游注射入0.94重量%的Trigonox 101E30和0.32重量%的活性助剂。性质和结果列于表2中。

实施例2清楚地表明,包括2种不同无油弹性体和聚烯烃组合物的硫化热塑性弹性体组合物在乙醇中的萃取物的迁移量甚至更低。如实施例3所示,添加SEBS使萃取物的迁移量增加不明显。实施例4清楚地表明非交联的热塑性弹性体组合物在乙醇中的萃取物的迁移量很低。由实施例5可以看出,热塑性弹性体组合物在活性助剂的存在下交联的情况下,乙醇中的萃取物的迁移量非常低。
表2清楚地表明包括以上组分的硫化热塑性弹性体的萃取物迁移量较高。
Claims (11)
1.热塑性弹性体组合物,所述组合物包括:
(a)5-95重量%的无油弹性体
(b)95-5重量%的包含20-50重量份的结晶聚烯烃聚合物和50-80重量份的弹性体烯烃共聚物的聚烯烃组合物,其中总重量份数是100。
2.如权利要求1所述的热塑性弹性体组合物,所述组合物包括0.02-10重量%可选具有活性助剂的交联剂,从而,(a)、(b)和所述交联剂的总量是100。
3.如权利要求2所述的热塑性弹性体组合物,其特征在于,所述交联剂选自过氧化物、含氢硅烷或酚醛树脂。
4.如权利要求1-3中任意一项所述的热塑性弹性体组合物,其特征在于,所述无油弹性体(a)选自EPM、EPDM或EPM和EPDM的混合物。
5.如权利要求1-4中任意一项所述的热塑性弹性体组合物,其特征在于,所述聚烯烃组合物(b)包括聚丙烯均聚物或丙烯共聚物作为结晶聚烯烃聚合物,且包括乙烯与具有式CH2=CHR的烯烃的共聚物作为弹性体烯烃共聚物,在所述式中,R是具有1-10个碳原子的烷基。
6.如权利要求1-5中任意一项所述的热塑性弹性体组合物,其特征在于,所述组合物包括苯乙烯基聚合物,从而,所述热塑性弹性体组合物的总重是100。
7.如权利要求1-6中任意一项所述的热塑性弹性体组合物,其特征在于,所述组合物包括2-50重量%的苯乙烯基聚合物,从而,所述热塑性弹性体组合物的总重是100。
8.如权利要求6-7中任意一项所述的热塑性弹性体组合物,其特征在于,所述苯乙烯基聚合物选自SBS、SEBS或SEPS。
9.如权利要求1-8中任意一项所述的热塑性弹性体组合物,其特征在于,所述活性助剂是1,2-聚丁二烯。
10一种制品,所述制品包括根据权利要求1-9中任意一项所述的热塑性弹性体组合物。
11.根据权利要求1-9所述的热塑性弹性体组合物在食品包装、工业应用、消费应用、医药应用、密封、汽车内部部件和低雾性应用,例如,安全气袋和仪表盘,中的用途。
