Abstract

期望提供一种可以实现使用AC电力线通信用于来自多种通信源的信号的分配并适合于提供与标准电话设备的无缝接口的方法、系统和装置。
因此,本发明的总的目的在于提供一种在无线通信装置、电力线信号分配和标准电话用户设备之间的接口。
本发明的另一目的在于提供一种适合于发送信号给个人通信系统(PCS)和自个人通信系统接收信号的电力线通信接口。
本发明的再一目的在于提供一种适合于发送信号给蜂窝电话装置和自蜂窝电话装置接收信号的电力线通信接口。
本发明的再一目的在于提供一种适合于发送信号给卫星通信装置和自卫星通信装置接收信号的电力线通信接口。
本发明的再一目的在于提供一种适合于与通常安装用于居民、商务及政府用户的标准有线电话通信系统相结合的电力线通信接口。
本发明的再一目的在于提供一种电力线通信接口,其具有一使用标准AC电力线作为通信信道,与标准电话线及与一远程电话单元进行通信的基站。
本发明的再一目的在于提供一种电力线通信接口,其使用广谱调制技术以在各种通信装置之间进行通信。
本发明的再一目的在于提供一种系统,其结合无线通信设备与现有普通的有线电话设备,从而允许用户在继续使用现有有线电话设备的基础上利用新的开发出的个人通信系统。

发明的详述
本发明是一种用于在既定的和/或标准电话通信设备上转换无线通信信号并分配这些信号的方法和系统。实质上,本发明是一种将例如个人通信系统(PCS)、蜂窝式电话和卫星系统的通信装置连接至普通的有线的电话系统的接口。在优选实施例中,本发明包括一基本单元、一接收器和一外部转换模块,其与标准AC电力线载波线路和标准电话设备相组合,用于允许现有的电话使用各种无线电话信号且同时提供了一种使用电力线电话分配方法将这些无线电话信号分配给标准电话设备的方法。其中所述电力线是标准110v AC电力线,或220v AC电力线。所述标准电话设备可以包括麦克风,扬声器,用于输入待呼叫的电话号码的装置,等等。
图1示出了采用本发明的一通信系统的上层代表性视图。接收器108被安装在建筑物100上,通常在外部,最好接近一电力线分配箱105。该接收器108还与天线109连接,天线109适合于发送并接收通信信号。而且,该接收器108被设计成接收标准无线信号。一旦检测到无线信号,该无线信号被转换成适合被耦合至基本单元(或电力线发送器)107的信号。该基本单元107通常嵌在该接收器108箱或外壳中。该基本单元107经该电力线分配箱105将该转换的信号施加在电力线104上。一或多个分机单元102也被连接至该电力线。通常这些分机单元通过插入一标准AC墙上电源插座而被连接至该电力线。该分机单元102接收由该基本单元107发送的电力线信号,处理该信号,将该信号转换成与标准或现有的用户电话设备103相兼容,由该通信系统用户101使用。该优选的接收器箱108使用无线供应器的技术,该供应器通常嵌在该接收器箱108中用于去扩散和解调RF信号传输。应注意的是尽管上面描述集中在接收来自接收器箱108的信号到分机单元102,逆信号传输路径同时被支持,也就是将来自分机单元102的信号发送给接收器箱108用于发送。
图2示出了普通的或标准PCS电话通信系统。设置一基站201以接收经电话线204传输来自电话203的信号且之后经一天线206穿过无线电波发送出广谱信号207。该发送的广谱信号207由具有自身天线208的手持电话202接收。优选的手持电话202经特殊设计以接收并解调该广谱信号从而恢复该音频信号。几种较好的技术已被开发出进行用于上述数据线的广谱信号发送,包括直接序列(DS)、码分多址访问(CDMA)、时分多址访问(TDMA)和频分多址访问(FDMA)。这些调制频率将在由FCC分配用于光谱系统的ISM频带中执行。普通的手持电话202由用户101选择。换句话说,一预存的,例如与商业通信系统和/或综合楼全套设备(complexes)一起被普遍使用的电话系统与上述的PCS系统相结合。
图3示出了本发明的优选实施例,描述了在本发明的无线通信信号到标准电话设备的分配中使用的元件和连接。一外部转换模块300直接接合至自天线109接收的RF信号以将接收信号转换成标准电话信号。这些RF信号,包括PCS、蜂窝式和卫星信号经外部转换模块300上的外部天线109进入本发明的设备。该优选的外部转换模块300包括一RF接口单元108和一电力线载波(PLC)基本单元105以接合并经电力线104发送和接收信号。这些电力线信号通过电话线301由分机单元102接收(或发送),该电话线301直接与现有的或标准的电话设备103接合。该系统提供了用无线RF接收信号使用及分配现有的电话设备能力,从而提供给用户在拥有电源插座的建筑物100的任何位置接收PCS信号的能力。

Claims (13)
1、一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其包括:
(A)一适用于接收RF信号的外部转换模块,其将接收到的所述RF信号进行转换以用于电力线通信、与电力线连接、接收来自该电力线的通信信号、将接收到的所述通信信号进行转换以用于在空气中传播的RF通信并发送该RF信号;所述外部转换模块进一步包括:一用于接收RF信号的RF接收器,其中所述RF信号包括个人通信系统信号、便携式电话信号和卫星信号;和
电力线基本单元,提供所述RF接收器与AC电力线通信信道之间的接口并电连接至所述RF接收器;
(B)一AC电力线,电连接至所述电力线基本单元;
(C)一电力线分机单元,用于接收由所述电力线基本单元发送的信号,电连接至所述AC电力线;和
(D)一电话通信装置,电连接至所述电力线分机单元,由一电话用户在与另一电话用户进行信息通信中使用。
2、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述电力线基本单元还包括一广谱调制器。
3、根据权利要求2的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述广谱调制是从直接序列、码分多址访问、时分多址访问和频分多址访问中选择出来的。
4、根据权利要求2的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述广谱调制适用于在ISM频带中工作。
5、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述电力线是标准110v AC电力线。
6、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述电力线是标准220v AC电力线。
7、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述分机单元使用标准的AC墙上电源插头连接至所述AC电力线。
8、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述分机单元还包括一解调器。
9、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述分机单元还包括一接收器。
10、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述电话通信装置还包括一麦克风。
11、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述电话通信装置还包括一扬声器。
12、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,其中所述电话通信装置还包括一用于输入待呼叫的电话号码的装置。
13、根据权利要求1的一种用于无线电话信号的转换和分配的系统,还包括一用于接收无线信号的天线,其中所述天线电连接至所述RF接收器。
