Abstract
本发明提供了一种用于造纸涂料的丁苯胶乳的制备方法,包括以下步骤:向加压反应釜中加入1~5份羧酸单体、0~100份(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体、10~200份丁二烯、95~108份(甲基)苯乙烯单体、0.5~5份硅烷、0.2~2份促进剂、0.2~2份分子量调节剂、0.5~5份阴离子乳化剂、0.2~2份非离子乳化剂、0.5~5份引发剂和75~650份蒸馏水,搅拌混合,加热,并进行自由基乳液共聚反应;反应完成后,冷却;加1~5份碱金属的氢氧化物调节pH至6~9,过滤,即得丁苯胶乳产品。本发明所提供的丁苯胶乳的制备方法操作简单,成本低廉,绿色环保,而依据所述制备方法制得的丁苯胶乳产品综合性能优异,特别适用于造纸涂料,能够显著提高纸张的表面强度和耐水性,因此,具有良好的应用前景与市场潜力。

技术领域
本发明属于造纸涂料技术领域,具体涉及一种用于造纸涂料的丁苯胶乳的制备方法。
背景技术
丁苯胶乳是以丁二烯、苯乙烯加少量羧酸及其它助剂,通过乳液聚合生成的共聚物,通常是一种带有蓝紫色光泽的乳白色水分散体,根据苯乙烯含量、乳化剂和聚合温度等的不同,所制得的种类繁多,其性能和用途也各不相同。
结合苯乙烯比例较高的丁苯胶乳,通常具有较高的粘结力和结膜强度,机械及化学稳定性好,流动性、贮存稳定性均佳,填充量大等优点。由于引入了极性基团——羧基,导致制备的丁苯胶乳具有较高的的结膜强度和粘结力,抗水可印刷性与耐磨性强,稳定性、流动性俱佳,填充量大,成模性好,机械、化学与冻融稳定性优异,本品与颜料、填料相容性好,贮存稳定性均较好。
因此,基于其优异的性能,丁苯胶乳产品的用途广泛,其中主要用途之一为造纸涂布,适用于粘结装饰原纸、耐磨纸、中高档铜板纸、白板纸、卡纸、箱板纸等。随着造纸应用的发展,对造纸涂料用粘结剂的各项性能的要求越来越高。
现有技术中也提供了各种丁苯胶乳的制备工艺,例如CN105294947A公开了一种造纸用高性能丁苯胶乳的制备方法,其所制备得到的乳液成功应用于纸张涂料,使得纸张的平滑度、油墨吸收性有所提高,但涂料层本身的粘结强度与纸张的耐水性不够高,从而影响了产品质量与应用。因此,亟需研发出一种新型的丁苯胶乳产品及其制备工艺,以提高造纸涂料层的粘结强度与所制得的纸张的耐水性。
发明内容
为了克服现有技术中存在的种种技术缺陷,本发明提供了一种采用了合适的物料种类与配比并基于自由基乳液共聚反应制得的丁苯胶乳,其具有更高的粘结强度,并且使用其所制得的纸张具有优异的耐水性。
因此,本发明提供了一种用于造纸涂料的丁苯胶乳的制备方法,其包括以下步骤:
S1:向加压反应釜中加入羧酸单体、(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体、丁二烯、(甲基)苯乙烯单体、硅烷、促进剂、分子量调节剂、阴离子乳化剂、非离子乳化剂、引发剂和蒸馏水,搅拌混合,加热,并进行自由基乳液共聚反应;
S2:反应完成后,冷却;
S3:加碱金属的氢氧化物调节pH至6~9,过滤,即得丁苯胶乳产品;

其中,所述碱金属的氢氧化物例如为氢氧化钠、氢氧化钾、氢氧化锂,优选为氢氧化钠;并且,在实际投加过程中,一般以10wt%~40wt%的氢氧化钠水溶液的形式投加。
优选地,在上述制备方法的S1中所述的自由基乳液共聚反应的持续时间为3~10小时,反应温度为60~90℃。其中,所述自由基乳液共聚反应的持续时间指的是:S1中反应物料的滴加总时间与加热升温至60~90℃之后保温反应的时间之和。
进一步优选地,在上述制备方法中,所述羧酸单体选自以下任一种或多种的组合:丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、马来酸、富马酸和衣康酸。
进一步优选地,在上述制备方法中,所述(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体选自以下任一种或多种的组合:丙烯腈、丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸正丁酯、丙烯酸异丁酯、丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸正丁酯、甲基丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯、丙烯酸和甲基丙烯酸C8~C16烷基酯。在此基础上,所述(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体更进一步优选为丙烯酸正丁酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯中的至少一种。
进一步优选地,在上述制备方法中,所述硅烷选自以下任一种或多种的组合:γ-(2,3-环氧丙氧)丙基三甲氧基硅烷、氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷、3-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷、γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、N-2-(氨乙基)-3-氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷。
进一步优选地,在上述制备方法中,所述促进剂为甲基丙烯酰胺乙基乙撑脲或/和双丙酮丙烯酰胺。
进一步优选地,在上述制备方法中,所述阴离子乳化剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:C10~C20烷基苯磺酸钠、C10~C20烷基萘磺酸钠、C10~C20烷基硫酸钠、二烷基-2-磺基琥珀酸钠、二环己基-2-磺基琥珀酸钠、丁二酸磺酸钠、油酸钠、油酸钾、三乙醇胺油酸酯。其中,所述阴离子乳化剂更进一步优选为以下任一种或多种的组合:十二烷基硫酸钠、十二烷基萘磺酸钠、二烷基-2-磺基琥珀酸钠。

进一步优选地,在上述制备方法中,所述分子量调节剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:正十二硫醇、叔十二硫醇、正丁硫醇。
进一步优选地,在上述制备方法中,所述引发剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:过硫酸钾、过硫酸钠、过硫酸铵。
此外,依据上述制备方法制得的丁苯胶乳,其重量固含量通常为40%~60%,其可被用作造纸涂料中的粘结剂,随后,造纸涂料被施涂于纸张上。
最后值得说明的是,发明人意外地发现,在丁苯胶乳上依次接枝促进剂、硅烷所得到的乳液,应用于造纸涂料中,不但能改善纸张的耐水性,而且能大幅度提高纸张的表面强度。这可能是由于本发明所提供的丁苯胶乳接枝了特定种类的的促进剂、硅烷,且形成了嵌段的梳形结构,该乳胶粒表面有大量羟基、酰胺基、硅氧基等活性基团,从而能与纸纤维表面形成强烈的氢键作用,与此同时,促进剂、硅烷中的活性基团能与碳酸钙表面作用,形成桥键作用,因此显著增强了涂层的粘结强度;此外,在涂料干燥过程中,涂层会形成网状结构,使得涂覆有该涂料的纸张的表面强度和耐水性均得到显著提高。
综上所述,本发明所提供的丁苯胶乳的制备方法操作简单,成本低廉,绿色环保,而依据所述制备方法制得的丁苯胶乳产品综合性能优异,特别适用于造纸涂料,能够显著提高纸张的表面强度和耐水性,因此,具有良好的应用前景与市场潜力。
具体实施方式
下面结合具体实施方式对本发明作进一步阐述,但本发明并不限于以下实施方式。
一种用于造纸涂料的丁苯胶乳的制备方法,包括以下步骤:
S1:向加压反应釜中加入羧酸单体、(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体、丁二烯、(甲基)苯乙烯单体、硅烷、促进剂、分子量调节剂、阴离子乳化剂、非离子乳化剂、引发剂和蒸馏水,搅拌混合,加热,并进行自由基乳液共聚反应;
S2:反应完成后,冷却;
S3:加碱金属的氢氧化物调节pH至6~9,过滤,即得丁苯胶乳产品;
其中,投加的各物料的质量份配比为:
在一个优选实施例中,S1中所述的自由基乳液共聚反应的持续时间为3~10小时,反应温度为60~90℃。
在一个进一步优选的实施例中,所述羧酸单体选自以下任一种或多种的组合:丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、马来酸、富马酸和衣康酸。
在一个进一步优选的实施例中,所述(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体选自以下任一种或多种的组合:丙烯腈、丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸正丁酯、丙烯酸异丁酯、丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸正丁酯、甲基丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯、丙烯酸和甲基丙烯酸C8~C16烷基酯。
在一个进一步优选的实施例中,所述硅烷选自以下任一种或多种的组合:γ-(2,3-环氧丙氧)丙基三甲氧基硅烷、氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷、3-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷、γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、N-2-(氨乙基)-3-氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷。
在一个进一步优选的实施例中,所述促进剂为甲基丙烯酰胺乙基乙撑脲或/和双丙酮丙烯酰胺。
在一个进一步优选的实施例中,所述阴离子乳化剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:C10~C20烷基苯磺酸钠、C10~C20烷基萘磺酸钠、C10~C20烷基硫酸钠、二烷基-2-磺基琥珀酸钠、二环己基-2-磺基琥珀酸钠、丁二酸磺酸钠、油酸钠、油酸钾、三乙醇胺油酸酯。
在一个进一步优选的实施例中,所述非离子乳化剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:失水山梨醇三油酸酯、失水山梨醇三硬脂酸酯、乙二醇脂肪酸酯、丙二醇脂肪酸酯、失水山梨醇单硬脂肪酸酯、失水山梨醇单油酸酯、二乙二醇脂肪酸酯、失水山梨醇单棕榈酸酯、聚氧丙烯硬脂肪酸酯、失水山梨醇单月桂酸酯、聚氧乙烯硬脂酸酯、月桂酸聚氧乙烯酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单硬脂酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单油酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇三硬脂酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇三油酸酯、聚氧乙烯单油酸酯、脂肪醇胺聚氧化乙烯醚、烷基酚聚氧乙烯醚、聚氧乙烯单月桂酸酯、聚氧乙烯蓖麻油、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单月桂酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单硬脂酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单油酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单棕榈酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单月桂酸酯。
在一个进一步优选的实施例中,所述分子量调节剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:正十二硫醇、叔十二硫醇、正丁硫醇。
在一个进一步优选的实施例中,所述引发剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:过硫酸钾、过硫酸钠、过硫酸铵。
实施例1
按照以下步骤制备丁苯胶乳:
先将2000ml加压反应釜抽真空,真空度-0.095MPa,加入0.1克十二烷基硫酸钠,0.1克过硫酸钾,50克蒸馏水,完全溶解成水溶液,开启搅拌,升温至60℃;同时在60℃条件下滴加1克丙烯酸、10克丁二烯、100克苯乙烯、0.2克正十二硫醇、0.5克γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷的混合单体;并滴加0.4克十二烷基硫酸钠、0.2克聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单油酸酯(吐温80)、0.4克过硫酸钾、0.2克甲基丙烯酰胺乙基乙撑脲、22.06克蒸馏水的混合水溶液;滴加总时间为6小时,充分搅拌。滴加结束后继续在60℃保温4小时。反应完成后,冷却至25℃,用5克20wt%氢氧化钠水溶液中和;经100目筛网过滤,得到丁苯胶乳,固含量59.93wt%,pH=6.07(使用PHS-3C精密pH计测得)。
实施例2
按照以下步骤制备丁苯胶乳:
先将2000ml加压反应釜抽真空,真空度-0.095MPa,加入2克十二烷基萘磺酸钠,1克失水山梨醇单油酸酯(司盘80),1克过硫酸钠,500克蒸馏水,5克苯乙烯,完全溶解成水溶液,开启搅拌,升温至90℃;同时在90℃条件下滴加5克甲基丙烯酸、50克丙烯酸正丁酯、50克甲基丙烯酸甲酯、200克丁二烯、95克甲基苯乙烯、2克叔十二硫醇、2克N-2-(氨乙基)-3-氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷、3克γ-(2,3-环氧丙氧)丙基三甲氧基硅烷的混合单体;并滴加3克十二烷基萘磺酸钠、1克失水山梨醇单月桂酸酯(司盘20)、4克过硫酸钠、2克双丙酮丙烯酰胺,114克蒸馏水的混合水溶液;滴加总时间为2小时,充分搅拌。滴加结束后继续在90℃保温1小时。反应完成后,冷却至25℃,用12.5克40wt%氢氧化钠水溶液中和;经100目筛网过滤,得到丁苯胶乳,固含量40.15wt%,pH=8.76(使用PHS-3C精密pH计测得)。
实施例3
按照以下步骤制备丁苯胶乳:
先将2000ml加压反应釜抽真空,真空度-0.095MPa,加入0.5克十二烷基硫酸钠,0.5克过硫酸铵,150克蒸馏水,2克苯乙烯,完全溶解成水溶液,开启搅拌,升温至80℃;同时在80℃条件下滴加3克甲基丙烯酸、100克丁二烯、98克苯乙烯、1克正十二硫醇、0.5克γ-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷、2克γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷的混合单体;并滴加2克二烷基-2-磺基琥珀酸钠、1.5克聚氧化丙烯硬脂肪酸酯、2克过硫酸铵、1克双丙酮丙烯酰胺、60克蒸馏水的混合水溶液;滴加总时间为4小时,充分搅拌。滴加结束后继续在80℃保温2小时。反应完成后,冷却至25℃,用10克30wt%氢氧化钠水溶液中和;经100目筛网过滤,得到丁苯胶乳,固含量50.17wt%,pH=7.56(使用PHS-3C精密pH计测得)。
实施例4
按照以下步骤制备丁苯胶乳:
先将2000ml加压反应釜抽真空,真空度-0.095MPa,加入0.2克丁二酸磺酸钠,0.3克过硫酸铵,2克马来酸,2克富马酸,100克蒸馏水,完全溶解成水溶液,开启搅拌,升温至75℃;同时在75℃条件下滴加50克丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯、60克丁二烯、100克甲基苯乙烯、1.5克正丁硫醇、1克氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷、1克3-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷的混合单体;并滴加1.8克丁二酸磺酸钠、0.5克聚氧化乙烯单月桂酸酯、1.5克过硫酸钠、0.5克甲基丙烯酰胺乙基乙撑脲、140.59克蒸馏水的混合水溶液;滴加总时间为3小时,充分搅拌。滴加结束后继续在75℃保温3小时。反应完成后,冷却至25℃,用40克10wt%氢氧化钠水溶液中和;经100目筛网过滤,得到丁苯胶乳,固含量45.14wt%,pH=8.39(使用PHS-3C精密pH计测得)。
实施例5
按照以下步骤制备丁苯胶乳:
先将2000ml加压反应釜抽真空,真空度-0.095MPa,加入1克十二烷基苯磺酸钠,0.2克过硫酸钾,1克富马酸,10克苯乙烯,100克蒸馏水,完全溶解成水溶液,开启搅拌,升温至85℃;同时在85℃条件下滴加1克丙烯酸,75克丙烯酸乙酯、40克丁二烯、90克苯乙烯、0.2克正十二硫醇、0.4克叔十二硫醇、3克γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷、1克γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷的混合单体;并滴加3克十二烷基苯磺酸钠、0.8克烷基酚聚氧乙烯醚、0.8克过硫酸钾、1.5克双丙酮丙烯酰胺、80.91克蒸馏水的混合水溶液;滴加总时间为5小时,充分搅拌。滴加结束后继续在85℃保温2小时。反应完成后,冷却至25℃,用10克20wt%氢氧化钾水溶液中和;经100目筛网过滤,得到丁苯胶乳,固含量55.03wt%,pH=7.84(使用PHS-3C精密pH计测得)。
对比例
按中国专利申请CN105294947A中所公开的方法制备丁苯胶乳。
在此基础上,发明人分别使用上述实施例1~5以及对比例制得的丁苯胶乳,按照以下配方制备造纸涂料:

将上表1中所示的各组分加入高速分散机中,搅拌均匀后高速分散20~30min,直至细度合格,接着,在低速下加入下表2中的各组分(其中的丁苯胶乳分别来自实施例1~5与对比例):

充分搅拌均匀,出料,过滤即得造纸涂料。
用10#涂布棒将制得的各造纸涂料在300g/m2的灰底白板纸上分别进行涂布,涂布量为20g/m2,制得涂布纸,备用。同时,发明人还采用IGT印刷适性仪(日本KRK)并按照相关标准分别检测了以上实施例1~5与对比例各自对应的涂布纸的表面强度,检测结果见下表3:

其中,表面强度越大则表明涂料中丁苯胶乳的粘结性越强。
此外,发明人还采用杭州轻通博科自动化技术有限公司的XSH型可勃吸收性测定仪并按GB/T 1540-1989标准分别检测了以上实施例1~5与对比例各自对应的涂布纸的Cobb值,检测结果见下表4:

其中,Cobb值越小则表明涂布纸的耐水性越好。
由此可见,依据本发明所述的制备方法制得的丁苯胶乳,与依据对比例所述的方法制得的丁苯胶乳相比,能够获得更加优异的粘结性与耐水性。
以上对本发明的具体实施例进行了详细描述,但其只是作为范例,本发明并不限制于以上描述的具体实施例。对于本领域技术人员而言,任何对本发明进行的等同修改和替代也都在本发明的范畴之中。因此,在不脱离本发明的精神和范围下所作的均等变换和修改,都应涵盖在本发明的范围内。
Claims (10)
1.一种用于造纸涂料的丁苯胶乳的制备方法,其特征在于,包括以下步骤:
S1:向加压反应釜中加入羧酸单体、(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体、丁二烯、(甲基)苯乙烯单体、硅烷、促进剂、分子量调节剂、阴离子乳化剂、非离子乳化剂、引发剂和蒸馏水,搅拌混合,加热,并进行自由基乳液共聚反应;
S2:反应完成后,冷却;
S3:加碱金属的氢氧化物调节pH至6~9,过滤,即得丁苯胶乳产品;
其中,投加的各物料的质量份配比为:
2.根据权利要求1所述的制备方法,其特征在于,S1中所述的自由基乳液共聚反应的持续时间为3~10小时,反应温度为60~90℃。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述羧酸单体选自以下任一种或多种的组合:丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、马来酸、富马酸和衣康酸。
4.根据权利要求1或2所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述(甲基)丙烯酸酯单体选自以下任一种或多种的组合:丙烯腈、丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸正丁酯、丙烯酸异丁酯、丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸正丁酯、甲基丙烯酸-2-乙基己酯、丙烯酸和甲基丙烯酸C8~C16烷基酯。
5.根据权利要求1或2所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述硅烷选自以下任一种或多种的组合:γ-(2,3-环氧丙氧)丙基三甲氧基硅烷、氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷、3-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷、γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷、γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷、N-2-(氨乙基)-3-氨丙基三甲氧基硅烷。
6.根据权利要求1或2所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述促进剂为甲基丙烯酰胺乙基乙撑脲或/和双丙酮丙烯酰胺。
7.根据权利要求1或2所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述阴离子乳化剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:C10~C20烷基苯磺酸钠、C10~C20烷基萘磺酸钠、C10~C20烷基硫酸钠、二烷基-2-磺基琥珀酸钠、二环己基-2-磺基琥珀酸钠、丁二酸磺酸钠、油酸钠、油酸钾、三乙醇胺油酸酯。
8.根据权利要求1或2所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述非离子乳化剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:失水山梨醇三油酸酯、失水山梨醇三硬脂酸酯、乙二醇脂肪酸酯、丙二醇脂肪酸酯、失水山梨醇单硬脂肪酸酯、失水山梨醇单油酸酯、二乙二醇脂肪酸酯、失水山梨醇单棕榈酸酯、聚氧丙烯硬脂肪酸酯、失水山梨醇单月桂酸酯、聚氧乙烯硬脂酸酯、月桂酸聚氧乙烯酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单硬脂酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单油酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇三硬脂酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇三油酸酯、聚氧乙烯单油酸酯、脂肪醇胺聚氧化乙烯醚、烷基酚聚氧乙烯醚、聚氧乙烯单月桂酸酯、聚氧乙烯蓖麻油、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单月桂酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单硬脂酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单油酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单棕榈酸酯、聚氧乙烯失水山梨醇单月桂酸酯。
9.根据权利要求1或2所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述分子量调节剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:正十二硫醇、叔十二硫醇、正丁硫醇。
10.根据权利要求1或2所述的制备方法,其特征在于,所述引发剂选自以下任一种或多种的组合:过硫酸钾、过硫酸钠、过硫酸铵。
