Abstract

本发明公开了一种电连接器,其包括设有若干端子收容孔的绝缘本体、若干收容在端子收容孔中的导电端子及若干机械固持在导电端子上的锡球。导电端子上形成有或导电端子与绝缘本体一起形成有用来固定锡球的固持部,以将锡球机械固持在导电端子上,无需预先将锡球焊接到导电端子上,操作简单并且可降低加工成本。

电连接器
【技术领域】
本发明涉及一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种电性连接芯片模块与电路板的电连接器。
【背景技术】
与本发明相关的电连接器,用来电性连接电路板与芯片模块,如美国专利第5,702,255号及第4,822,288号所揭示。该电连接器包括绝缘本体、容置在绝缘本体中的若干导电端子及若干焊接在导电端子尾部的锡球。组装时,首先将导电端子置于绝缘本体中,接着将锡球预先焊接到导电端子的尾部,然后将电连接器放置在电路板上并送入回焊炉加热,使锡球熔化进而将导电端子与电路板上对应接点焊接在一起,从而实现电连接器与电路板的电性导通。
惟,上述电连接器需预先将锡球焊接在导电端子上,操作过程复杂并且费时,且会造成加工成本较高。
因此,确有必要提供一种新型的电连接器以解决现有技术方案中存在的缺陷。
【发明内容】
本发明的目的是提供一种可简便的将锡球固定到导电端子上并可降低加工成本的电连接器。
为实现上述目的,本发明采用如下技术方案:一种电连接器,用来电性连接芯片模块与电路板,其包括绝缘本体、若干导电端子及机械固持在导电端子上的若干锡球。绝缘本体具有相对设置的上表面与下表面及若干贯穿上表面、下表面设置的端子收容孔。导电端子收容在端子收容孔中且包括与绝缘本体干涉配合的主体部、由主体部向上延伸设置的接触臂。所述导电端子还包括由主体部向下延伸设置的夹持臂,所述夹持臂可以夹持锡球,以将锡球机械固持于导电端子上。
本发明进一步界定,所述接触臂是由主体部顶端向上扭转延伸的两接触臂,所述两接触臂末端各设有一与主体部位于不同平面的接触部,所述夹持臂是由主体部底端向下扭转延伸的两夹持臂,所述两夹持臂末端各设有一与主体部位于不同平面的夹持部,所述两夹持部可以夹持锡球以将锡球机械固持在导电端子上。
本发明进一步界定,所述两接触臂各包括一由主体部顶端向上扭转并朝相反方向延伸设置的一上扭转部,所述两接触部分别设于所述两上扭转部的末端且与主体部垂直。
本发明进一步界定,所述两夹持臂各包括一由主体部向下扭转并朝相同方向延伸设置的一下扭转部,所述两夹持部分别设于所述两下扭转部的末端且与主体部垂直。
本发明进一步界定,所述夹持臂为一环状夹持部,所述环状夹持部具有一贯穿其顶面与底面的缺口,可以使环状夹持部发生弹性变形以夹持锡球,所述环状夹持部的顶面在靠近缺口位置处向上延伸设有可以抵持到绝缘本体下表面的抵持部。
本发明进一步界定,所述导电端子的主体部两侧设有若干与端子收容孔的相应壁面配合的“J”型固持部,所述绝缘本体上的端子收容孔大致呈圆形设置,其直径大于导电端子的环状夹持部未夹持锡球时的直径,所述环状夹持部的底端设有一引导锡球组入环状夹持部的倒角。
为实现上述目的,本发明也可采用如下技术方案:一种电连接器,用来电性连接芯片模块与电路板,其包括绝缘本体、若干导电端子及机械固持在绝缘本体下方的若干锡球。绝缘本体具有若干端子收容孔,每一端子收容孔包括贯穿上表面与下表面设置的固持槽及位于固持槽旁侧的容纳槽。导电端子收容在端子收容孔中且包括与绝缘本体干涉配合的主体部、由主体部向上弯折延伸的接触臂及由主体部向下延伸的夹持臂。所述绝缘本体还包括由下表面向下凸伸设置且位于容纳槽周围的若干卡持臂,所述卡持臂可与导电端子的夹持臂配合夹持锡球以将锡球机械固持到绝缘本体上。
本发明进一步界定,所述绝缘本体的卡持臂与导电端子的夹持臂围设形成收容锡球的收容空间,所述绝缘本体的卡持臂包括由下表面向下延伸设置的臂部及设在臂部末端的卡持勾,所述卡持勾可以与导电端子的夹持臂配合以夹持锡球。
本发明进一步界定,所述绝缘本体还包括由下表面向下凸伸设置的若干支撑柱,所述支撑柱凸伸出绝缘本体下表面的长度大于所述卡持臂凸伸出绝缘本体下表面的长度。
本发明进一步界定,所述绝缘本体的固持槽与容纳槽之间的侧壁上设有开口,以使固持槽与容纳槽连通,所述接触臂可以穿过开口并收容在绝缘本体的容纳槽中,所述接触臂末端设有延伸出绝缘本体上表面的接触部。
相较于先前技术,本创作的优点在于电连接器可以机械地将锡球固定在绝缘本体的下方,无需将焊料预先焊接到导电端子上,操作简单,可降低加工成本。

【具体实施方式】
如图1至图14所示,其中图1至图5为本发明的第一实施方式,图6至图9为本发明的第二实施方式,图10至图14为本发明的第三实施方式。请参阅图1至图3所示,第一实施方式的电连接器100,用以电性连接设有针脚的芯片模块(未图示)与电路板(未图示),其包括绝缘本体10、若干收容在绝缘本体10中的导电端子20及若干机械固持在导电端子上的锡球30。绝缘本体10具有相对设置的上表面101与下表面102及若干贯穿上表面101、下表面102设置的端子收容孔12。
请参阅图3至图5所示,导电端子20收容在绝缘本体10的端子收容孔12中,其包括竖直板状的主体部21、由主体部21顶端两侧向上并朝相反方向扭转设置的两接触臂22及由主体部21底端两侧向下并朝相同方向扭转延伸设置的两夹持臂23。
两接触臂221各包括一由主体部21顶端向上扭转延伸设置的上扭转部223及一设在上扭转部223末端且垂直于主体部21的接触部221。两接触部221之间形成有一上收容空间25,以收容芯片模块的针脚(未图示)。两接触部221可夹持芯片模块(未图示)的针脚,实现电连接器100与芯片模块(未图示)间电性导通。两接触部221侧端各呈扩张状态延伸设有一导引部222,可引导芯片模块(未图示)的针脚组入上收容空间25中。两导引部222之间形成一与上收容空间25连通的入口(未标号)。
两夹持臂231各包括一由主体部21向下扭转设置的下扭转部232及一设在下扭转部232末端的夹持部231。夹持部231可夹持锡球30,以将锡球30固持在导电端子20上。两夹持部231之间形成有一收容锡球30的下收容空间25。所述夹持部231与主体部21垂直且凸伸出绝缘本体10的下表面102。
图6至图9所示为本发明的第二实施方式,其与第一实施方式不同之处在于:电连接器100’,用来电性连接设有导电片的芯片模块(未图示)与电路板(未图示),其绝缘本体10’的端子收容孔12’包括贯穿上表面101’与下表面102’的矩形固持槽120’及位于固持槽120’旁侧的容纳槽121’。固持槽120’与容纳槽121’之间侧壁上设有一开口122’,以使固持槽120’与容纳槽121’连通。导电端子20’包括一由主体部21’顶端中部向上弯折延伸设置的接触臂22’及一由主体部21’底端中部向下弯折延伸设置的夹持臂23’。主体部21’收容于固持槽120’中,且与固持槽120’的壁面干涉配合,以将导电端子20’固持于绝缘本体10’中。接触臂22’穿过开口122’并收容于容纳槽121’中,其末端设有一伸出绝缘本体10’上表面101’的接触部221’,可以与芯片模块(未图示)的导电片接触,以实现电连接器100’与芯片模块(未图示)间电性导通。绝缘本体10’的下表面102’还向下凸伸设有若干位于容纳槽121’下方的卡持臂14’。卡持臂14’包括由下表面102’竖直向下凸伸设置的臂部141’及设在臂部141’末端的卡持勾142’。所述导电端子2’的夹持臂23’伸出绝缘本体10’的下表面102’且可与卡持臂14’一起夹持锡球30’以将锡球30’固设于绝缘本体10’上。所述夹持臂23’与卡持臂141’围设形成一收容锡球30’的收容空间15’。绝缘本体10’之底部还向下凸伸设有若干长度大于卡持臂14’的支撑柱16’。
图10至图14所示为本发明的第三实施方式,与第一实施方式不同之处在于:导电端子20”包括主体部21”、由主体部21”顶端中部向上弯折延伸的一接触臂22”及由主体部21”向下延伸的一夹持臂23”。接触臂22”的末端设有一伸出绝缘本体10”上表面101”的接触部221”,可以与芯片模块(未图示)的导电片接触,以实现电连接器100”与芯片模块(未图示)间电性导通。主体部21”两侧还设有与绝缘本体10”的端子收容孔12’相应壁面干涉配合的“J”型固持部211”。夹持臂23”凸伸出绝缘本体10”的下表面102”,其包括一环状夹持部230”可夹持锡球30”,以将锡球30”机械固持于导电端子20”上。环状夹持部230”具有一贯穿顶面与底面的缺口232”,可使环状夹持部230”发生变形,以夹持锡球30”。环状夹持部230”的顶面在靠近缺口232”位置处竖直向上延伸设有抵持部231”,可使锡球30”组设至环状夹持部230”上时抵接到绝缘本体10”的下表面102”上,以保证锡球30”具有良好的共面度,且可防止导电端子20”在夹持锡球30”时发生倾斜或弯曲。
环状夹持部230”呈环形设置,也可以呈三角形、正方形或多边形设置。环状夹持部230”的底端设有倒角233”,来引导锡球30”组入环状夹持部230”上。绝缘本体10”的端子收容孔12”大致呈圆形设置,其直径大于环状夹持部230”未夹持锡球30”时的直径,可使端子收容孔20”间具有较小的间距,以实现电连接器100”小间距、高密度的应用。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,用来电性连接芯片模块与电路板,其包括绝缘本体、若干导电端子及机械固持在导电端子上的若干锡球,绝缘本体具有相对设置的上表面与下表面及若干贯穿上表面、下表面设置的端子收容孔,导电端子收容在端子收容孔中且包括与绝缘本体干涉配合的主体部、由主体部向上延伸设置的接触臂,其特征在于:所述导电端子还包括由主体部向下延伸设置的夹持臂,所述夹持臂可以夹持锡球,以将锡球机械固持于导电端子上。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述接触臂是由主体部顶端向上扭转延伸的两接触臂,所述两接触臂末端各设有一与主体部位于不同平面的接触部,所述夹持臂是由主体部底端向下扭转延伸的两夹持臂,所述两夹持臂末端各设有一与主体部位于不同平面的夹持部,所述两夹持部可以夹持锡球以将锡球机械固持在导电端子上。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述两接触臂各包括一由主体部顶端向上扭转并朝相反方向延伸设置的一上扭转部,所述两接触部分别设于所述两上扭转部的末端且与主体部垂直。
4.如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述两夹持臂各包括一由主体部向下扭转并朝相同方向延伸设置的一下扭转部,所述两夹持部分别设于所述两下扭转部的末端且与主体部垂直。
5.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述夹持臂为一环状夹持部,所述环状夹持部具有一贯穿其顶面与底面的缺口,可以使环状夹持部发生弹性变形以夹持锡球,所述环状夹持部的顶面在靠近缺口位置处向上延伸设有可以抵持到绝缘本体下表面的抵持部。
6.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述导电端子的主体部两侧设有若干与端子收容孔的相应壁面配合的“J”型固持部,所述绝缘本体上的端子收容孔大致呈圆形设置,其直径大于导电端子的环状夹持部未夹持锡球时的直径,所述环状夹持部的底端设有一引导锡球组入环状夹持部的倒角。
7.一种电连接器,用来电性连接芯片模块与电路板,其包括绝缘本体、若干导电端子及机械固持在绝缘本体下方的若干锡球,绝缘本体具有若干端子收容孔,每一端子收容孔包括贯穿上表面与下表面设置的固持槽及位于固持槽旁侧的容纳槽,导电端子收容在端子收容孔中且包括与绝缘本体干涉配合的主体部、由主体部向上弯折延伸的接触臂及由主体部向下延伸的夹持臂,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体还包括由下表面向下凸伸设置且位于容纳槽周围的若干卡持臂,所述卡持臂可与导电端子的夹持臂配合夹持锡球以将锡球机械固持到绝缘本体上。
8.如权利要求7所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体的卡持臂与导电端子的夹持臂围设形成收容锡球的收容空间,所述绝缘本体的卡持臂包括由下表面向下延伸设置的臂部及设在臂部末端的卡持勾,所述卡持勾可以与导电端子的夹持臂配合以夹持锡球。
9.如权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体还包括由下表面向下凸伸设置的若干支撑柱,所述支撑柱凸伸出绝缘本体下表面的长度大于所述卡持臂凸伸出绝缘本体下表面的长度。
10.如权利要求9所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述绝缘本体的固持槽与容纳槽之间的侧壁上设有开口,以使固持槽与容纳槽连通,所述接触臂可以穿过开口并收容在绝缘本体的容纳槽中,所述接触臂末端设有延伸出绝缘本体上表面的接触部。
