Description
Danmenschutzkappe. Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Daumenschutzkappe zum Gebrauch mit einem Schnitzmesser, welche aus einem zwei Lappen aufweisenden Streifen besteht, welche zwecks Umspannen des Daumenvordergliedes umgebogen sind.
Beim Gebrauch von Messern und andern Schneidgeräten in der Küche, welche zur Zerkleinerung von Grüngemüse, Rüben, Kar toffeln und dergleichen dienen, wird gerne der Daumen als Gegenhalter für den zu schneidenden Gegenstand verwendet. Dies ist auch der Fall beim Zurüsten, Schälen und Schnitzen von anderem Kochgut, wie Obst und Früchte überhaupt, so dass stets die Gefahr einer Verletzung des Daumens vorhanden ist, namentlich bei Verwendung besonders scharfer Messer.
Diesem Übelstand soll durch die Daumen schutzkappe nach vorliegender Erfindung abgeholfen werden.
In der Zeichnung ist in Fig. 1 die gegenseitige Lage von Messer und Daumen beim Schnitzen schaubildlich dargestellt, Fig. 2 zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel der erfindungsgemässen Kappe; und Fig. 3 diese Kappe in abgewickeltem Zustand.
Die in Fig. 2 dargestellte Daumenschutz kappe 1 besteht aus einem elliptisch aus geschnittenen Streifen 2 (in Fig. 3 in abge wickeltem Zustand dargestellt) dessen End- lappen zwecks Umspannen des Daumen vordergliedes umgebogen sind. Dabei ist noch der die Daumenspitze deckende Teil 3 des Streifens etwas nach innen eingebogen, um das gute Anliegen der Kappe am Daumen zu sichern.
Die Daumenschutzkappe wird vorzugs weise aus Metallblech bestehen, kann aber auch aus Zelluloid, Hartgummi oder einem Kunstharzstreifen hergestellt werden.
Danmark protection cap. The subject matter of the present invention is a protective thumb cap for use with a carving knife, which consists of a strip having two tabs which are bent over to encircle the front part of the thumb.
When using knives and other cutters in the kitchen, which are used to chop green vegetables, beets, Kar potatoes and the like, the thumb is often used as a counter holder for the object to be cut. This is also the case when preparing, peeling and carving other items to be cooked, such as fruit and fruits in general, so that there is always the risk of injuring the thumb, especially when using particularly sharp knives.
This drawback is to be remedied by the thumb protection cap according to the present invention.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the mutual position of knife and thumb during carving. FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the cap according to the invention; and FIG. 3 shows this cap in the unwound state.
The thumb protection cap 1 shown in FIG. 2 consists of an elliptically cut strip 2 (shown in FIG. 3 in the unwound state), the end tabs of which are bent over for the purpose of clamping the anterior thumb. The part 3 of the strip that covers the tip of the thumb is bent slightly inwards in order to ensure that the cap fits snugly on the thumb.
The thumb cap is preferably made of sheet metal, but can also be made of celluloid, hard rubber or a synthetic resin strip.
