  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Farbstoffes der     Triarylmethanreihe.       Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem  wertvollen Farbstoff der     Triarylmethanreihe     gelangt, wenn man 1     Mol.        o-Sulfobenzaldehyd     mit 2     Mol.        Benzylphenyltaurin    kondensiert  und die so erhaltene     Leukoverbindung    zum       Farbstoff    oxydiert.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  1     Mol.    o     -Sulfobenzaldehyd    wird mit  2     Mol.        Benzylphenyltaurin    in schwach saurer  Lösung kondensiert und die     Leukoverbindung     wird in üblicher Weise zum Farbstoff oxy  diert. In der     Karbinolform    hat der     Farbstoff     folgende Formel:

    Der     Farbstoff    ist in Form seiner     Alkalimetall-          salze    ein violettes, bronzierendes, wasserlös  liches Pulver und färbt Wolle und Seide in       grünstichig    blauen Tönen.

  <I> Example: </I> 1 mol. O-sulfobenzaldehyde is condensed with 2 mol. Benzylphenyltaurine in a weakly acidic solution and the leuco compound is oxidized to the dye in the usual way. In the carbinol form, the dye has the following formula:

    In the form of its alkali metal salts, the dye is a violet, bronzing, water-soluble powder and dyes wool and silk in greenish blue tones.

 

Claims (1)

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Farb stoffes der Triarylmethanreihe, dadurch ge kennzeichnet, dass man 1 Mol. o-Sulfo.benzal- dehyd mit 2 Mol. Benzylphenyltaurin kon densiert und die so erhaltene Leukoverbindung zum Farbstoff oxydiert. Der neue Farbstoff färbt Wolle und Seide in grünstichig blauen Tönen. PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of a dye of the triarylmethane series, characterized in that 1 mol. O-sulfo.benzaldehyde is condensed with 2 mol.
