Abstract

Se proporcionan composiciones poliméricas elaboradas mediante un proceso que comprende: (a) proporcionar una primera composición reactiva que contiene: (i) un iniciador de polimerización que es capaz, después de una primera activación, de formar dos o más grupos de radicales libres, al menos uno de los cuales es, además, activable por medio de una activación posterior; (ii) uno o más compuestos etilénicamente insaturados; y (iii) un agente de reticulación; (b) someter la primera composición reactiva a una primera etapa de activación, de manera que la primera composición reactiva polimerice en esta para formar una red de sustratos reticulada que contiene un iniciador de radicales libres activable unido covalentemente; (c) poner en contacto la red de sustratos reticulada con una composición injertada que contiene uno o más compuestos etilénicamente insaturados, en donde el contacto se realiza en condiciones tales que la composición injertada penetra en la red de sustratos reticulada; y (d) activar el iniciador de radicales libres activable unido covalentemente en una o más regiones selectivas de la red de sustratos reticulada de tal manera que la composición injertada se polimerice con la red de sustratos reticulada en las regiones selectivas.
