Abstract
El aparato para obtener el flujo de vidrio en capas, que tiene un vidrio central interno rodeado por un vidrio de revestimiento externo, que incluye unprimer orificio (22), para recibir el vidrio central desde una primera fuente (12) y un anillo de a bertura (26) que forma un segundo orificio (28) espaciado enforma vertical debajo y alineado con el primer orificio. Una cámara (30) que rodea el segundo orificio y se comunica con el segundo orificio a través de una.abertura de medicion (56)entre el primer y segundo orificio. El vidrio de revestimiento de descarga desde una segunda fuente (42) a la cámara, de forma quedicho vidrio fluye por gravedad desde la primera y segunda fuentes a través de los orificios para formar el flujo de vidrio en c apas. Un anillo calentador (46)de material refractario se coloca debajo del anillo de abertura, e incluye, al menos, un calentador eléctrico (48) incrustado en el material refractario delanillo calentador. De este modo, el calentador eléctrico se col oca en el exterior de la cámara de vidrio de revestimiento para agregar calor al vidrio derevestimiento que fluye a través de la cámara hacia la abertura de medicion. El anillo calentador, en la realizacion preferida de la presente invencion subyacey su contorno se acopla de frente con la superficie inferior completa del anillo de abertura, para transferir energía térmica a través del anillo de aberturaal vidrio en la cámara de vidrio de revestimiento.
