Küreselleşme; günümüz dünyasında gelişen ekonomi, teknoloji, politika, kültür ile birlikte tek dünya düzeni haline gelen bir kavram olarak meydana gelmektedir. Son yıllarda küreselleşme konusu birçok ülke için detaylı şekilde incelenmekte ve hem ekonomi hem de siyasi açıdan yer kürede yaşayan tüm bireyler üzerinde tezahürü oldukça hissedilmektedir. Bugün herkesin konuştuğu küreselleşme bir dünya toplumu içerisinde bireyleri, grupları ve ulusların bir araya gelmesi ve siyasal, toplumsal, kültürel ve ekonomik bağlantıların etkenleri sayesinde ortaya çıkmıştır. Yeryüzünde yaşayan bütün toplumları ilgilendiren küreselleşme genellikle ekonomi ve siyasi boyutu tartışılagelse dahi küreselleşme kültürel boyutu da önemli etkenler arasında yer almaktadır. Anthony Giddens'a göre küreselleşme, dünyada herkesin karşılık olarak bağımlılıklarının gelişmesine istinaden bir sosyal sistem üzerine kurulu olan ve ülkeler arasında kesişen sosyal, politik ve ekonomik bağlamda dünyada artan karşılıklı bir bağımlılığı anlatan terimdir. Küreselleşme içinde bir çok temel etkeni barındırırken bu etkenler sayesinde de insanların birbirine olan bağlılığını artırıyor. Dost Kitabevi yayınlarından çıkan " Küreselleşme ve Eşitsizlik " kitabı, yukarıda değindiğimiz küreselleşme ile ilgili olarak önemli noktaların yanında küreselleşmenin doğurduğu eşitsizliğe ve bunun yanında eşitsizliğin kalkınma hedeflerini okuyuculara sunmaktadır. Kitap ile ilgili bu yazıda küreselleşmenin dünya pazarının etkisi, buna bağlı olarak küreselleşen dünyada katmanlaşan eşitsizliği ve küreselleşmenin bir etkisi olarak görünen uluslararası örgütler ile ilgili gelişmeleri ele alınıp değerlendirilecektir.

ÖZET Osmanlı " nın son dönemlerinde hızlı bir şekilde başlayan modernleşme cumhuriyet döneminin ilk yıllarında hızlı bir şekilde devam etmiştir. Yaşanan bu süreçte Cumhuriyete geçişte geçmiş ile bağların kopması şeklinde olmayan modernleşme çabaları yine de eskiye bağlı kalarak yenileşme içerisine girmiştir. Osmanlı " da Tanzimat reformlarıyla başlayan, anayasal yani meşrutiyet yönetimlerin ilanıyla ivme kazanan ve cumhuriyet dönemi inkılâplarıyla son aşamasına gelen modernleşme süreci dönemlerin yapısındaki siyasi ve hukuki alanın reform edilmesi şeklinde gerçekleşerek toplumsal yapıya uygulanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu modernleşme sürecinin tarihinde Osmanlı dâhil olmak üzere birçok iktidar ve muhalefet gelip geçti ve birçok konuda da hep bir çatışmacı rol üstlenildi. İttihat-Terakki Cemiyeti ve Cumhuriyet dönemi siyasal kadrolarının uygulamaları da toplumsal düzende ve bunun yanında dini boyutta gerçekleşmiştir. Laikleşme süreci dediğimiz boyutta İslam " ın kamusal alandaki etkisi siyasi ve hukuki değişiklikler ile sınırlandırılmış ve daraltılma yoluna gidilmiştir. Bazı iktidarlar boyunca toplumsal rahatlama ile bu zincir kırılsa da birçok etki tepkiyi ortaya çıkarmıştır. Fakat son olarak AK Parti hükümetinde ise durumların değişmesi ve topluma dayalı bir modernleşme tercihi ve istikrar isteği Türkiye tarihinde birçok şeyi değiştirmiştir. ABSTRACT Rapid modernization in the late Ottoman period continued rapidly in the early years of the republic. In this process, modernization efforts which were not in the form of break with the bonds of the Republican era were still renewed by adhering to the old days. The political and legal field in the Ottoman Empire started with the reforms of Tanzimat, the Constitutional system, which gained momentum with the declaration of constitutional administrations, and the modernization process of the republican era, and tried to be applied to the social structure. In the history of this modernization process, many powers and opposition, including the Ottomans, came and went, and in many cases it was always a confrontational role. The practices of the Committee of Union and Progress and the political staff of the Republican era have also been realized on a social level, as well as on a religious level. In the context of the secularization process, the influence of Islam on the public affairs has been limited to political and legal changes and has been made to be narrowed. Through some powers, this chain has been broken by social relief, but many effects have been revealed. But finally, in the AK Party government, changes in the situation and the desire for modernization based on collective and stabilization have changed many things in Turkey's history.

Giriş Toplumsal hayatın önemli bir boyutu olan toplumsal tabakalaşma Türkiye'de önemli bir yer edinmese bile aslında bakıldığında dünyada sınıf hareketlerinde oldukça etkili biçimde görülmektedir. Özellikle dünyada yer alan sosyoloji kavramları alanında bu etkili bir yer edinmiş ve sınıfların çalışması yer almışken ülkemizde ise bu durağan bir izlenim göstermiştir. Her ne kadar çeşitli çalışmalar yapılsa bile bu çalışmalar etkili olmamıştır. Tabakalaşma konusu sosyal hareketlilik ve sınıf ile ilgili yakından ilgilidir. Anthony Giddens'a göre toplumsal tabakalaşma toplumun katmanlar ya da tabakalar halinde bölünmesine göndermede bulunmakta ve toplumsal tabakalaşmadan söz ettiğimizde, toplumdaki bireylerin bulunduğu meslekler arasındaki eşitsiz konumlara dikkat çekmekteyiz. Elbette gelişmiş dediğimiz ve daha da modern olan toplumlarda birçok alanda tabakalaşma söz konusudur. Bu tabakalaşmada toplumsal hareketlilikten söz edebilir ve sınıflar arası geçişlerin olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Toplumsal hareketliliği ve daha sonrasında da sınıfları işleyeceğimiz bu çalışmada Türkiye tarihinde gerçekleşen mesleklerde yaşanan sınıf kaybının nasıl olduğunu saha araştırması ile inceleyeceğiz. Özellikle Türkiye'de 1980 sonrasında siyasi ve iktisadi olarak değişen birçok koşulun etki etmesiyle sınıf kaybı daha fazla yaşanmıştır. Özellikle meslekler alanında yaşanan etkiler söz konusu olmakla birlikte bazı meslekler silinmiş bazı meslekler de itibarını kaybetmiştir. Bu çalışmada yapılan saha araştırmasıyla bir zamanlar önemli itibarı olan fakat günümüzde eskiye oranla fazla bir itibarı olmayan avukatların meslek alanında incelemelerini ve sınıf alanındaki etkisini inceleyeceğiz.

Sosyoloji toplumları ilgilendiren ve topluma dair her şeyi açıklama gereği duyan bir bilim dalıdır. Toplumsal değişme ise bilhassa sosyolojinin temel noktasından çıkışla birlikte sosyolojinin özü olarak adlandırabiliriz. Çünkü tarihe baktığımızda özellikle sosyolojinin bilim olarak adlandırıldığı ilk zamanlara toplumsal değişim söz konusu olduğunu açıkça görebilmekteyiz. Özellikle modernleşme bağlamında sosyoloji geçmişten gelen birçok şeyi incelemekte ve bir şekilde toplumu anlamaya yönelik bir çaba gösterme gayretindedir. Sosyoloji; din, ekonomi, siyasi, ailevi vb. gibi daha birçok alanda toplumu ve toplumun değişim alanlarını ister istemez kapsayarak açıklama gayreti içerisindedir. Toplumsal değişim ise sosyal, siyasal, ekonomik, kültürel vb. gibi birçok değişkeni nasıl ve ne için özelinde inceleme alanına alan sosyolojik bir tezahürdür. Toplumsal değişimin manası evvela sosyal oluşumun konumu ve durumuna bağlıdır.2 Günümüz dünyasında, küreselleşmenin mahiyeti söz konusu olduğunda siyasal başarı veya başarısızlık, demokratikleşme, laik anlayış, sosyal, kültürel ve siyasal olmak üzere toplumsal değişmeyi anlamak ve bu alanda incelemeler yapmak oldukça önemli bir hale gelmiştir. Bu sebepten ötürü toplumsal değişmeyi açıklayan sosyoloji birçok kavramı da beraberinde açıklama disiplini içerisinde toplumsal değişmenin diğer kavramlardan soyutlanmaması gerekliliğini bizlere fazlasıyla hatırlatmaktadır. Öyle ki toplumsal değişim tarihimizden bu yana gerçekliğini korumakta ve birçok ülkede olduğu gibi Türkiye'de de toplumsal değişme sosyolojinin sayesinde kontrol altındadır. Özellikle ülkemizde Karadeniz Ereğli çalışması ile toplumsal değişme bir nebze olsun gözlemlenebilmiş ve birçok faktör ile toplumsal değişme açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin ilk kurulduğu yıllardan beri ister dini anlamda ister siyasi anlamda olsun bir toplumsal değişme her zaman sosyolojinin içinde yer almış ve ister istemez kontrol altında tutulmuştur. Geçmişten günümüze gerçekleşen değişimlerle birlikte toplumsal ilişkiler her geçen gün artmış ve insanlar birbirleri ile din konusunda ya ortak noktada toplanmış ya da ayrışmışlardır. Toplumsal değişmenin en önemli konulardan bir tanesi de din olgusudur. Geçmişten günümüze din toplumsal bir rol oynamakla birlikte toplumların üzerinde etkisini sürdürmektedir.

Kıray çalışmasına Ereğli sahil kasabasında yapımı başlayan ağır sanayinin etkilerini araştırmak üzere laboratuar görerek araştırmanın problemini ortaya koymaya çalışmıştır. Kıray, 1961 yılında inşaatın başlaması ve demir-çelik fabrikasının getireceği değişimler ile birlikte toplumda derine işlemeden ve daha fazla bir etkisi olmadan problemleri o günkü koşullar nezdinde ele almaya çalışmıştır. Yazar kitabında sosyal yapı ve şehirleşme hususunda birtakım açıklamalar gerçekleştirerek şehirleşme, sosyal değişme ve değişmenin kaçınılmazlığını dile getirmiştir.

The paper looks at perceptions of aging among elderly Iranian migrants in Nevsehir, Turkey. The author explores how socioeconomic and cultural factors and the transit migrant status of these migrants affect their perceptions of aging. The study used a semi-structured questionnaire to conduct in-depth interviews. It suggests that wage discrimination plays a significant role in determining the respondents’ perceptions of aging due to the lack of official work permits for Iranian migrants. It also explores how the transit migrant status of elderly Iranian migrants and the uncertainty of their stay in Turkey restrict their social networks and access to social protection, sharply shaping their perceptions of aging.

Climate change is a big challenge now. Currently, researchers, academics, and policymakers focus on coping with and dealing with the adverse effects of climate change. However, due to climate change impacts, it is impossible to determine the number of coping strategies, primarily when the appropriate coping and adaptation strategies depend on the socioeconomic and cultural context of vulnerable communities facing climate change-related extreme events. Therefore, we cannot deny the current debate between coping strategies and climate change adaptation. In this case, the chapter addresses existing definitions, discussions, and pieces of evidence on coping strategies and adaptations for dealing with the adverse impacts of climate change. It also discusses with examples how the various relationships between climate change-related events and coping strategies or adaptations are different. Researchers present theoretical backgrounds in understanding the nexus between climate change and coping strategies and adaptation contextually. The chapter also includes some discussions of the above linkage in Bangladesh's context. Finally, various empirical studies provide thoughts that the connection between climate change, tackling strategies, and adaptation varies in terms of the severity and types of climate change-related events in which socioeconomic, sociodemographic, and cultural aspects mediate the relationship.

These policies and measures have however impacted the learning experiences of millions of domestic and international students. Universities changed their teaching and learning methods from physical to virtual presence following national, international, and World Health Organization (WHO) mandates. However, these rapid shifts had a tangible impact on the quality of education as well as on students and teachers. Using the snowball sampling technique, this study thus seeks to
examine the experiences and challenges (distance education, learning experiences, social life, etc.) faced by Southeast Asian students studying in Turkish universities. Through interviews conducted between May and June 2021, this research found that these students felt lonely and anxious during the pandemic, which had an impact on their academic performance. As a result of their immigration status, they were unable to adequately deal with distance education and saw it as ineffectual, unproductive, and a waste of time. This research has implications for policymakers and stakeholders, as well as for both receiving and sending countries.

This paper explores the internal migration of fishers from coastal communities of Bangladesh in response to extreme weather events. It also assesses the vulnerabilities to extreme weather events of these coastal areas, in general, and of targeted fishing communities, in particular. This qualitative study employs a combination of methods, semi-structured interviews and observations, in two villages located in the eastern part of Kalapara Upazila, Patuakhali district of Bangladesh. The results indicate that the participants of the study are susceptible to the vulnerability of extreme weather events due to their households’ socio-economic and geographical location. This study shows that most people from the fishing communities do not migrate to other places to escape from the vulnerabilities as they have high dependency on fish-related activities. Also, there are various socio-economic and cultural factors that hinder their migration, including the Mohajon-Dadon system, migration costs, lack of skills and resources, and fear of income security. Instead of migrating, they develop their own traditional adaptation mechanisms to ensure their survival. These people remain underrepresented and are not adequately recorded in national or regional migration data.

Since agricultural production depends mainly on nature and uses surface and groundwater reservoirs, changes in existing water resources significantly affect this sector. Again, changes in global climate bring changes in water levels, consequently affecting agriculture, food supply, and income sources of households in different areas. However, to date, no such research has investigated the farmers who are the producers and the most vulnerable group to the impacts of climate change. Therefore, this paper explores climate change impacts on the water resources of Sarayonu, which in turn affects the agricultural food production and food security of the producers' households and the country's market. This qualitative study conducted in-depth interviews with the farmers from the Sarayonu district of Konya province in Turkey. The study results show that ground and surface water resources are negatively affected by climate change. Consequently, the study area observed a decrease in water level over the last 15 years. Thus, these changes in water resources have been significantly affecting the agriculture sector, which alters the food supply for the market in general and the producers in particular. When people have less water, they have low quality and quantity crop yields, resulting in food crises and economic difficulties.

Araştırmada özel çocuk ve ailelerinin pandemi sürecinde eğitim, sağlık ve sosyal açılardan ne gibi zorluklar yaşadığına, bu zorlukları çeşitli kurumlar tarafından sağlanan imkanlarla nasıl giderdiklerine ya da gideremediklerine dair bulgular sağlanarak, çeşitli öneriler sunmak amaçlanmaktadır.
