    مهتمون بإيجاد العوامل الرئيسية التي تؤثر على هذه العلامة او النتيجة. من أجل التحليل والتنبؤ بما سيحدث خلال المراحل المختلفة لعملية التسجيل في الجامعة، يمكن استخدام نماذج التنقيب عن البيانات والتي  ستساعد الجامعة في تحديد التدخلات والتدابير واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة وفقا لذلك في الوقت المناسب. لإجراء التحليلات والتنبؤات ، استخدمنا أداة Waikato’s Knowledge Analysis Environment (WEKA)  وخوارزميات مثل K-Means ، والانحدار اللوجستي ، وخريطة Kohonen ذاتية التنظيم (KSOM) و EM  لتحديد العوامل الأكثر تأثيرا على تنبؤ علامة للطالب في اختبار المستوى. أظهرت نتائج هذا البحث أن EM تظهر اداء جيد لتحديد العوامل الرئيسية التي تؤثر على العلامة النهائية للطالب في اختبار المستوى. تعد خوارزميات الثلاثة الأخرى المستخدمة الانحدار اللوجستي،  K-Means، KSOM نموذجا تنبؤيا لعلامة الطالب في امتحان المستوى.

    In the past years, there has been a lot of interest in water quality and its prediction as there are many pollutants that affect water quality. The techniques provided herein will help us in controlling and reducing the risks of water pollution. In this study, we will discuss concepts related to machine learning models and their applications for water quality classification (WQC). Three machine learning algorithms, J48, Naïve Bayes, and multi-layer perceptron (MLP), were used for WQC prediction. The dataset used contains 10 features, and in order to evaluate the machine's algorithms and their performance, some accuracy measurements were used. Our study showed that the proposed models can accurately classify water quality. By analyzing the results, it was found that the MLP algorithm achieved the highest accuracy for WQC prediction as compared to other algorithms.

    There is an interest in extracting knowledge and retrieving information automatically from the current availability of a large collection of electronic resources and from the academic literature available on the Web. Much of Thus, researchers may miss relevant, even critical, information in parallel or disparate fields, which in turn may lead them to recreate information already developed or to miss important information that could advance each discipline. A Medical thesaurus identifies and clarifies important concepts from these disciplines and standardizes their corresponding terms. This paper reviews the structure, construction and use of Medical thesauri, and outlines how Medical Thesauri may help resolve a number of common difficulties encountered when searching these recourses. This research focuses on financial markets and monitoring changes in stock prices by event recording, collecting, understanding their meanings, extracting information and organizing against its meanings within a well-organized structure.     In recent years, several approaches have been proposed to extract information from web pages on the internet. In this research, a key technique focused on crawling and ontology used to discover knowledge from web. In this paper, we present intelligent crawling system that uses pattern and ontology to extract particular information from WEB sites. The system developed as an efficient tool to construct researcher’s profile automatically from web pages. Moreover, some searching and indexing methods, text mining and computational linguistics for underlying this problem are exploited. We evaluated the performance of our system on an information extraction task from different real academic web sites. Experimental results show that with the extraction rules based on pattern discovery and ontology, our system achieves 84.90 % average of overall precision.

    This research presents an applied study using data mining to discover some factors affecting agricultural vegetable production and predicting the yield production in Palestine. In this research, we are interested in finding some factors that will influence the agricultural production to increase the amount of production to benefit the farmers in particular and individual, society in general. To achieve this goal we used Waikato’s Knowledge Analysis Environment (WEKA) tool and algorithms such as K-Means, Kohonen’s Self Organizing Map (KSOM) and EM to identify the most influential factors that increase the production of agricultural vegetable. This research has proved that K-Means is worthwhile to increase the efficiency and reliability of the prediction process of determining the factors that affect the yield production and KSOM the most accurate to predict the yield production.

    This research involves building a model for forecasting stock price movements using data mining techniques with Artificial Intelligence classifier. Concerning the forecasting problem, we tackle the challenge of choosing Palestinian Stock Exchange (PSX) as an input data in the period between 2005-2017 and processing it accordingly to improve the predicting accuracy for the Palestinian stock market prices. We also address the issue of evaluating the prediction performance. Our results show that the best configuration for ANN is 6-5-1, which means six inputs, five neurons in hidden layer and one output. ANN classifier is feed-forward multi-layer perceptron neural network that is trained with back propagation algorithm. In addition, the results show we have a high degree of accuracy for prediction (0.010 +/- 0.000 for Root Mean Squared Error), this accuracy is higher than other related researches.

    This paper is a comparative study aimed at leading to the use of statistical techniques in automatic term extraction; it compares between the most frequently used statistical techniques. We have also developed a computational tool for automatic term extraction named ATEWB to be used in the comparison; three experiments are used for this purpose to specify the conditions in which each technique is mostly efficient and/or accurate. On the other hand, this paper aims at improving statistical techniques efficiency through the utilization of database engines in computations to reduce the time of their algorithms. As well as improving documents retrieval by caching them in the database. We have tested our model on a collection of aِbstracts of papers in the field of automatic term extraction, containing keywords composed by their authors in the first experiment, and a collection of documents prepared for test available on some web sites concerned with IR.

In this article, we focus on a case using e-mail contents as supplement educational materials at QOU. We describe how the interactive classification system based on concept hierarchy can simplify this task. This system provides the functions to index, classify, and retrieve a collection of e-mail messages based on user profiles. By automatically indexing e-mail messages using our E-mail Classification System for e-Learning, instructors and/or students can easily find their messages and find the topics.     The need to integrate Virtual Laboratory in the process of teaching and learning in Al-Quds Open University is becoming more vital. Virtual based e-learning is seen as an effective supportive in teaching and learning process. This method is able to create a student-centered learning. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a web-based and standalone simulation models for the students of the first and second year cycle. This system combines technologies and simulation, and provides the student with friendly user interface, instruments, procedure and simulation capability. In study, we implemented and successfully applied a system for undergraduate courses in Al-Quds Open University. We evaluated the system and has achieved positive evaluation from the undergraduate students.

    In the last years, Cloud computing for ERP systems provided solutions to the problems and difficulties encountered by conventional ERP systems. Many companies are evaluating the promised advantages and considering making use of cloud services. There are a lot of discussions about the role of standards in Cloud Computing. This research tries to investigate how beneficial it is to use standards for cloud computing to help organizations implementing ERP systems with less implementation cost and time. In this study we interviewed both ERP suppliers and buyers for their opinion about standard for ERP as a cloud computing. Interpretive research used to interpret what interviewees said and in what context to get a better understanding of the collected data.     Electronically available documents on the Web are exploding at an ever-increasing rate. Many Web documents, however, contain rich knowledge that describes the document's content. The Web can be viewed as a body of text containing two fundamentally different types of data: the contents and the tags. A tag is in HTML (Hyper-Text Markup Language) meta-data describing the layout and linking structure between the text. For these kinds of docu-ments we can apply different approaches to extract and structure terms auto-matically. These approaches are based on a statistical model and syntactic analysis that describe the data of interest, including relationships, and context keywords.
