How to Change Your Root User Email Address?
You can go to Settings -> Security in the console, click My Account, and update your root user email address. When you change your email, the system will send a verification code to your old email address. If you can receive the code, follow the instructions to complete the change.
If You Are Not Receiving the Verification Code, Please Check the Following:
- The Domain of Your Old Email is Deactivated: If the domain of your old email is deactivated, you will not be able to receive the verification code. In this case, please submit a support ticket, and we will help you change your email address.
- Your Email Account is Deactivated: Suppose your email account has been deactivated, but the domain is still active. In that case, you may contact your IT administrator to set up an email alias, which will allow you to receive the verification code.

Can Resources Be Transferred to Another Account?
Currently, the EMQX Platform does not support transferring resources between accounts. If you need to migrate resources to a new account, we recommend manually recreating and configuring the resources in the new account.
Why Can't I Register Again With the Same Email Address After Deleting My Account?
We have permanently removed all of your original personal data from our system according to your request (e.g., your name, contact information, historical data, etc.). To maintain the integrity of our service and prevent abuse (i.e., to stop malicious users from circumventing service policies through repeated account deletions), we retain a minimal technical record:
- No Original Email Stored: We do not keep your original email address.
- Retention of a Secure Identifier: We apply a one-way, irreversible cryptographic hash to your email. This converts your email into a unique random code, which is stored in a separate, protected list as a “Prohibited Registration” Identifier.
- Secure Purpose Only: This code cannot be reversed to reveal your email address, identify you, or contact you. Its sole purpose is to verify that this email cannot be used to create a new account in the future.
