Nell'ambito del PEBA-intervento di Rimozione delle barriere fisiche e cognitive in musei, biblioteche e archivi per consentire un più ampio accesso e partecipazione alla cultura, La Fondazione Giorgio Cini bandisce N. 1 borsa di studio (della durata di tre mesi) destinata ad attività di sviluppo di contenuti, applicazioni e strumenti adeguati a permettere l'accesso agli spazi della Cultura e alle informazioni, per l'abbattimento delle barriere fisiche, sensoriali e cognitive, come decretato da l'Articolo 27 della Dichiarazione Universale dei Diritti Umani del 1948: "Ogni individuo ha diritto di prendere parte liberamente alla vita culturale della comunità, di godere delle arti e di partecipare al progresso scientifico e ai suoi benefici".

10 scholarships will be granted to interdisciplinary research projects in the field of Humanities.

Per frequentare il Centro Internazionale di Studi della Civiltà Italiana “Vittore Branca” nel periodo gennaio – dicembre 2023, la Fondazione Giorgio Cini bandisce 11 borse di studio residenziali da 2 mesi ciascuna a copertura del costo di soggiorno , destinate a PhD e post-doc che non abbiano superato i 40 anni al 1 settembre 2022.

Il progetto rientra nell’ambito delle iniziative condivise con la Regione Veneto l.r. 24/2021.

10 borse di studio saranno assegnate a progetti interdisciplinari in ambito umanistico.

The Seminars, on Caribbean Concerts Spirituels, will take place at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini from November 26 to 30, and will be focused on a comparison between 18th century manuscript Concerts spirituels and the Messe en cantiques, underlining the unique kaleidoscope of cultures—and tensions—of the French Caribbean at the dawn of the Haitian revolution.

L’Istituto Interculturale di Studi Musicali Comparati (IISMC), nell’ambito del progetto Sguardi musicali: progetti di etnomusicologia visiva, ha istituito, in memoria di Diego Carpitella, una borsa di ricerca dell’importo di 5.000,00 euro (lordi) finalizzata alla realizzazione di un prodotto audiovisivo di interesse etnomusicologico.

La borsa è offerta dalla Fondazione di Venezia.

L’Istituto Interculturale di Studi Musicali Comparati, in collaborazione con Durham University’s Department of Music, offre 10 borse di studio a etnomusicologi e antropologi interessati alle riprese audiovisive per fini di documentazione e analisi delle tradizioni musicali.

Il workshop su La documentazione audiovisiva della ricerca sul campo, a cura di Marco Lutzu e Simone Tarsitani, si svolgerà presso la Fondazione Cini dal 12 al 16 giugno e coprirà gli aspetti tecnici e logistici delle riprese audio e video, inquadrate all’interno delle più comuni esigenze della ricerca scientifica.

Scholarships to participate to 2018 edition of Ottoman Music Seminars Bîrûn: Religious music and songs of the Istanbul Armenians

The Fondazione Giorgio Cini offers 10 scholarships to professional and semi-professional solo singers,‘ûd players, tanbûr players, kanûn players, kemençe players and percussionists to participate to the next edition of Ottoman Music Seminars Bîrûn, directed by Kudsi Erguner that will take place on March 19-24, 2018, on the topic: Religious music and songs of the Istanbul Armenians. The selected Ensemble will be made of 5 singers and 5 expert players of the typical instruments of cultivated Ottoman music. The seminar will end with a public concert of the Ensemble Bîrûn, conducted by Kudsi Erguner, on Saturday 24 March 2018.

La Roche Stiftung, offers scholarships to instrumental ensembles and young solo singers specialised in the eighteenth-century repertoire, to participate to next Early Music Seminar, directed by Pedro Memelsdorff, on: Jan Dismas Zelenka – Masses and sonatas (1720-30). The Giorgio Cini Foundation offers three scholarships each year for studies focused on the Benno Geiger Archive, which is preserved and developed on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, as well as on other literary archives held by the Foundation. The scholarships are in accordance with Elsa Geiger Ariè’s will and are associated with the “Premio letterario Benno per la traduzione poetica”, an annual poetry translation prize, set up to commemorate her father.

The three scholarships (each worth 2,000 euros) lasting one month are offered to Italian and foreign graduates, postgraduates and postdoctoral researchers under the age of 35 on 30 June 2017.

La Roche (Basel, Switzerland) – will grant full scholarships to professional or semi-professional young soloist singers specialized in medieval repertories to the next Early Music Seminars, directed by Pedro Memelsdorff, focused on Roman de Fauvel. Music and Corruption in Paris at the Court of Philip the Fair (1300-1315).

The Seminar will consist in master-classes, lectures and workshops by three of the main experts in the field: Benjamin Bagby, founder and director of the ensemble Sequentia, Margaret Bent and Anna Zayaruznaya (eminent musicologists at the Universities of Oxford and Yale).

The Fondazione Giorgio Cini, together with the Committee ‘500 Years of the Jewish Ghetto of Venice’, the Foundation Concordance and the Israelitische Gemeinde Basel, Switzerland, will feature a coaching session in Venice and a concert to be performed both in Venice and Basel in November 2016. Young vocal ensembles consisting of one female (S) and three male (A-T-B) singers are invited to apply.

The “Vittore Branca” International Center for the Study of Italian Culture offers two different types of residential scholarships to scholars wishing to spend a research period in Venice between May 2016 and May 2017: 6 months (PhD) and 3 months (post-doc). Il Seminario di quest’anno sarà dedicato al tema “Le opere dei greci nella musica classica ottomana”.

The Giorgio Cini Foundation offers three residential scholarships (one month each) for studies focused on the Benno Geiger Archive, which is preserved and developed on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, as well as on other literary archives held by the Foundation. The scholarships are in accordance with Elsa Geiger Ariè’s will and are associated with the “Premio letterario Benno per la traduzione poetica”, an annual poetry translation prize, set up to commemorate her father.
