Summary
It has been one hundred years since the Earth Kingdom began the war. Hiding out on Kyoshi Island, only practicing their Firebending well out of sight, live the last three members of the Fire Nation Royal Family: Azula, her brother Zuko, and their Uncle Iroh. Their lives only get more difficult when, seemingly out of nowhere, wind bursts from Azula’s hands rather than fire. Together they and their helpers - the last surviving Air Nomad, two exceptionally stubborn Water Tribe teenagers, and a flying bison and lemur - must take down Earth King Kuei before his final strike against the Water Tribes. But first, Azula needs to learn Airbending.

While Sokka watches over the young survivors, his sister Katara and their navigator Suki travel ahead to find another safe area. Just as Sokka laments a possible boring time with keeping the troublesome group alive: enter Zuko and Toph. Zuko was just passing through, only to end up being part of a group who cares despite the lack of blood connection. Sometimes you never where you’d go and its ok.

The pressure on Zuko, the new young Fire Lord, and Katara, a Waterbender in the heart of the Fire Nation, is incredible. The Hundred Years’ War casts long shadows, old friends and old enemies are at the door, and Zuko and Katara have to rediscover who they are -and what they mean to each other- in their new reality.

The press seem to have it out for Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation, who often makes himself an easy target. His uncle hires a girl from the Southern Water Tribe to help him improve his public image and appease the palace council. Zuko does not plan on making it easy for her, but Katara is hardly one to back down from a challenge.

Summary
You'd think that being touched by a Spirit would bless you for the rest of your life - that was most definitely not the case for Sokka. The war still took his mother and father. He was engaged to someone he didn't love. His life seemed to only be filled with struggle.
A Spirit's blessing didn't protect you from the Fire Nation, and Sokka realized this when an invasion on the North Pole goes horribly wrong. Zhao the "Moon Slayer" is certainly one problem.Forced to work with the Fire Nation prince is another.

Sokka's life is debatably great. His friend just fell in love with his other friend, he got an A+ on his calculus final, and his favourite bakery just started serving drinks.
