Population growth in the urban environment generates higher consumption of limited resources. Following the results of our own sociological research, this paper aims to identify issues in the field of Smart City sustainable development and identify the specific limited resource that needs to be managed sustainably in the Smart City concept abroad and in Slovakia. The main findings in Slovakia confirm the occurrence of insufficient awareness, low state aid, limited funding. Within the sample of global Smart Cities involved in the survey, the issue of insufficient funding was identified in particular. Among the limited sources, both foreign and Slovak respondents consider water sources to be of critical importance. The ambition of the research is to improve the understanding of the management of the limited resources in the concept of future Smart Cities in Slovakia and to suggest solutions to the issues as recommendations presented in the Discussion of this paper.

The trend of urbanization and unsustainable consumption is causing a rapid decrease in limited water resources, which are a strategic source of sustainable development of the city. The aim of the article is i) to identify what technologies, strategies and models are used in the management of water resources in the concept of current Smart Cities, ii) according to the main findings of the analysis, to design own general model of integrated water resources management in the Smart City concept. The paper has used the secondary analysis, summarization method, comparison, induction, deduction and scientific controversy. The results of the analysis show that the strategic management of Smart Cities uses the technologies of the Internet of Things and machine learning in order to effectively manage water resources, in the management of water resources, prefers models containing feedback and an element of participation, from a strategy perspective, it is important to build a sensitive city through a well-defined vision. A city that manages water resources on these principles is a sensitive and sustainable territory that respects current conditions and responds to new challenges. The main output of the article is a general model of limited resource management in Smart City.

Sports represent an undeniable value associated with people’s health and leisure time. Therefore, research on sports management related to the overall setting of a sustainable sports funding model from public resources is vital. This article’s aim was to evaluate the sustainability of this form of sports funding in Slovakia. Since there is no complete, transparent database of the allocated subsidies at the national, regional, and local levels in this country, an important part of the research was the collection of diverse pieces of data. As part of the methodology, the research combines geographical and temporal comparisons of public sports funding at all levels of management. Multiple interviews with members of the professional sports community also provided important qualitative inputs. Due to the identified shortcomings in the current state of the model of public sports funding in Slovakia, it is considered unsustainable. Therefore, the article also contains specific recommendati...

The human dimension of CRM is the most difficult component given the sensitivity of users to change. CRM systems, which support and/or automate integrated customer processes, often, imply changes in the way users do their day-today jobs. Users who have not properly understood the reasons for the change, who did not participate in formulation of the change, who did not receive sufficient information about the change, or who did not get sufficiently trained on the change will often be adverse to that change. This article deals with human dimension of CRM and peoples, their work in implementation of CRM in company.

ABSTRACT form only given. The Networking Academy initiative by Cisco is the worldwide de-facto standard for training in networking knowledge and skills on a basic-to-intermediary level of difficulty. As a Corporate Social Responsibility program, the Networking Academy courses are well-rounded in delivering applied knowledge and skills. For a higher level education, however, more principial and fundamental knowledge and approaches are often called for. We propose a series of suggestions that enhance the Networking Academy experience and enrich it with approaches common in a university environment. The common denominator of these suggestions is the boldness to know more and to go deep into the knowledge, thereby intriguing engaged and knowledgeable students, allowing them to truly embrace the essence of networking topics.

This paper deals with an analysis of software functions that can be used to control Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), and particular design of a simple application (program) for flight planning with the use of predetermined points (the so-called Waypoints). The paper contains a description of how to set up the development environment as well as a brief description of the MAVLink protocol and its use by means of statements of several methods used in the program. Ardupilot Mega was preferred as a control unit which supports the MAVLink protocol. Although the application is fully functional, it is designed in its current form rather as a demonstration of possibilities of using the C# programming language and the MAVLink protocol parser than being for a regular use. It may be seen (and that is how it was intended) as a guide for anyone wishing to try to program their own application.

The paper deals with the topic of monitoring traffic using unmanned aerial vehicles. The main research goal was to test the possibility of using aerial vehicles for traffic engineering applications, especially for determining the traffic intensity on roads and for evaluating the data on traffic using video footage. The practical part of the paper focuses on the evaluation of data on traffic obtained by means of unmanned aerial vehicle at a selected intersection of roads. The data are evaluated using SW based on work with neural networks. A stationary system composed of an unmanned aircraft, camera system with a stabiliser, ground source with voltage converter, wire unwinding system and accessories were created by the staff of the ITB for the purpose of video recording the traffic from a 20-meter height. Such a tethered unmanned aerial system enabled a long-term operation in the air and a video recording lasting 1 hour at least.

The operations of sports organizations must be managed to create value in the long run. This explicit management will support their efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability. The key concept measured in this study was the popularity of sports. This concept is a pivotal element in influencing the acquisition of financial contributions for sports organizations (from the state and sponsors) as well as in attracting new members. We conducted an online questionnaire in 2021 focusing on the concept of the perceived popularity of sports in Slovakia. The number of observations was 338, out of the total population of Slovak citizens over the age of 15. We also applied other methods, including content analysis, induction, deduction, comparison, and synthesis analyses. The analysis of the data led to the following findings: in this context, the two most popular sports were hockey and European football; the greatest propensity for fan self-identification was observed for European football...
