ROUND 1/ Storm Blue
Begin this round by working 1 sc into the space after last hdcfp
( rnd10/P4) and before 2 corner hdc’s (rnd10/P4).
Work 1 Puff ( yo x 3, ch1 ) x 2, into this space ( work over the st
sc ).
Skip 2 corner hdc’s (rnd10/P4). Work 1 Puff ( yo x 3 ,ch1 ), ch2, 1
Puff ( yo x 3, ch1) into ch2 corner sp.
Skip over next 2 corner hdc’s, work 2 x Puffs ( as before ) into
space before the 1st hdcfp (rnd10/P4).= 6 Puffs, 1 x ch2 corner sp.
Work 1 hdcbp around all the stitches! Sides =135 hdcbp.
Repeat your corner sequence. Work last hdcbp, do not fasten off.
ROUND 2/ Storm Blue
At the beginning of this round you will have 1 hdcbp on your
hook, right? This is the end of Rnd1.
Now, work 2 Puffs ( yo x3, ch1 ) between next 2 Puffs (rnd1).
Sl st into top of next Puff (rnd1)
Work 1 Puff ( yo x 3, ch1), ch2, 1 Puff ( yo x 3, ch1 ) into ch2 cor-
ner space ( rnd1)
Work 2 Puffs ( as before ) between next 2 Puffs( rnd1).
Work 1 dcbp around all the hdcbp. Sides = 135.
Repeat corner sequence and continue.
Work last dcbp, do not fasten off.
ROUND 3/ Storm Blue
You will have 1 dcbp remaining on your hook. This is the end of
rnd2.
Work 2 Puffs ( same as rnd1 and 2 ) between your next 2 Puffs.
Sl st into top of next Puff (rnd2).
Work 1 Puff, ch2, 1 Puff into ch2 corner sp (rnd2) as before.
Work 2 Puffs ( as before ) between next 2 Puff.
Work 1 hdcbp around all your dcbps then repeat the corner se-
quence and continue. One Side = 135 hdcbp’s.
To close this round, sl st into top of 1st Puff, fasten off.
ROUND 4/ Sage
Begin by attaching your new colour into the space between the 2
Puffs to the RIGHT of your 2 corner Puffs (rnd3).
Ch3 = 1dc, work 2 dctog (=3dctog), ch2, 1 x 3dctog into same
space.
Work 1 x 3dctgs, ch3, 1 x 3dctogs into ch2 corner sp.
Work 1 x3dctog, ch2, 1 x 3dctog between next 2 Puffs (rnd3).
Work 1 dcfp over next 4 hdcbp’s.
*1 dc before next hdcbp, 1 dc after hdcbp, then 1 dcfp over next
4 hdcbp’s*
Repeat * to * = 24 dcfp, 10 dc’s
Work 1 Puff ( yo x 3, ch1), ch1 after last dcfp and before next
hdcbp. Work 1 Puff ( as before ), ch1 between every 2nd hdcbp..
= 39 Puffs ( yo x 3, ch1 ), 38 ch1’s.
Repeat * to * and continue with the corner 3dctog sequence.
To close this round, sl st into top of 1st 3dctogs and ch3. Do not
fasten off.
ROUND 5/ Sage
You will have 3 chains on your hook. Work 1sc into sp between
1st 2 Puffs (rnd3), ch3, work 1sc into corner ch sp between 2 cor-
ner Puffs (rnd3), ch3, work 1sc into sp between next 2 Puffs
(rnd3), ch3. = 4 x ch3’s, 3 x 1sc.
*Work 1 dcfp over next 4 dcfp, 1 dc between 2 dc’s, 1 dcfp over
next 4 dcfp’s. Repeat sequence = 24 dcfp’s, 5 dc’s.*
Work 1 Puff ( yo x 3, ch1 ) into every ch1 space between Puffs
( rnd 4). = 39 Puffs.
Repeat * to *. Then repeat the corner chains/sc’s sequence.
Close this round with a dcfp, ch4 ( or 5 ), do not fasten off.

ROUND 6/ Sage
You will have 4ch on your hook. This is the beginning of rnd 6.
Work 1sc into sp before 1st corner Puff (rnd3), ch4, work 1 sc into
sp after 2nd corner Puff ( rnd3), ch4. = 3 x ch4’s, 2 x 1sc.
*Work 1 dcfp over next 4 dcfp’s, work 1 dc either side of 1 dc *
Repeat * to * = 24 dcfp’s, 10 dc’s.
Work 1 Puff ( as before ) into sp before 1st Puff (rnd5). Work 1
Puff between all the Puffs ( rnd5) = 39 Puffs.
Repeat * to * and repeat the corner 3 x ch4’s and 2sc corner se-
quence. To close this rnd, sl st into last stitch, fasten off.

ROUND 7/ Raspberry
This is an independent round!
Work 1 Popcorn, ch1 between all
the Puffs ( rnd6).
Side = 40 Popcorns, 39 ch1’s. Re-
peat 3 more sides = 160 Popcorns,
156 ch1’s.
ROUND 8/ Cypress
This is an independent round!
Begin this next round with 1 sc into the last Popcorn you worked
(rnd7). This will be to the RIGHT of any corner.
Ch2, *work into the space between the 1st 2 dc’s (rnd6), work
3trtog, ch3. Into same sp, work 3trtog. Work a closing ch1after
each 3trtog. Do this x 5 into each space between the dc’s (rnd6).
= 10 3trtog’s, 5 x ch3’s. *
Now, ch4 work 1sc into ch4 sp (rnd6), ch4, 1sc into next ch4
(rnd6)ch4, 1sc into ch4 (rnd6), ch4. Repeat * to *
Do this for your next 3 “big” corners.
Note: don’t forget to ch2 after your starting ch1 into the Popcorn.
ROUND 9/ Raspberry.
This is an independent round!
You can work rnds 9 and 10 together here.
Work 1 Popcorn, ch1, 1 Popcorn, ch2 into space between 1st
2 x3dctogs ( rnd6 ), work 1 Popcorn, ch3, 1 Popcorn into ch2 cor-
ner sp (rnd4), ch2, work 1 Popcorn, ch1, 1 Popcorn into sp be-
tween nect 2 x 3dctog’s. = 6 Popcorns, 2 x ch1’s, 2 x 2chsp, 1 x
3ch’s corner sp. Do this 3 more times over the next 3 corner 3dc-
togs.
ROUND 10/ Sage
Working this rnd in tandem with rnd 9.
Once you have worked your first 6 Popcorns (rnd9) then begin
rnd 10 by working a **ch3 =1dc + dc’s, ch2, 3 dc;s into the ch3
corner space. Work 3 dc’s into the ch2 sp after the 2nd corner
Popcorn ( rnd9), skip over next Popcorn and work 3 dc’s into the
ch1 sp between the 2 Popcorns.** = 12 dc’s, 1 x ch2 corner sp.
Note: Corners = 18 dc’s ( 9 dc’s each side of the corner ch2 ).
*Work 4fptrtog over the next 4 dcfp’s. Ch4, 1sc into the top of
the single dc ( rnd5 ). Ch4*
Repeat * to* = 6 x 4fptrtogs, 10 x ch4’s, 5 x sc’s.
After last 4fptrtogs work 1 hdc into 1 st Popcorn ( next to the 1 sc
from rnd8). Work I hdc into ch1 sp, 1 hdc into next Popcorn, and
continue = 79 hdc’s.
Repeat * to* then work your 6 Popcorns( rnd 9 ) into the next
corner between the 3dctogs ( rnd 4), Work 3 dc’s into the 1 st
ch1 sp between the 1st 2 x Popcorns, 3 dc’s into the ch2 space
and repeat ** to **.
Sl st into beginning stitch, fasten off.
ROUND 11/ Camel
Begin with a 2ch front post ( =1 hdcfp) over the 1st hdc (rnd10)
worked into your 1st Popcorn (rnd7). **Work 1 hdcfp over all the
hdc’s. = 79 hdcfp’s. **
*Work 1 hdcfp over the 1st 4fptrtogs, ch6, work 1 hdcfp over next
4fptrtogs, ch6...do this over the remaining 4 fptrtogs = 6 x hdcfp,
5 x ch6 sp’s. *
Work 1 dcfp over all the dc’s (rnd10), ch2 corner, and 1 dcfp over
the next 9 dc’s (rnd10) = 18 dcfp’s, 1 x ch2 corner.
Repeat * to * then repeat ** to **.

Close rnd 11 with a hdcbp

around the beginning 2scfp (=
1 hdcfp ).
Do not fasten off.
ROUND 12/ Camel
You will have 1 hdcbp on your hook at the start of this rnd. Work
1 hdcbp around the rest of the hdcfp’s = 79 hdcbp’s.
Insert a stitch marker into your last hdcbp.
You will be working rnds 12 and 13 together here!

ROUND 13/ Grape

This is an independent round!
Begin with 1 sc, ch1 into the 1st ch4.
You’ll be working into the ch6 sp ( pull this under the ch3 (rnd8)
*Work 3 x 3dctogs, ch1 ( ch1 after 1st and 2nd 3dctogs ), ch1, 1sc
around top of the 2 x ch4 join. Ch1*
Repeat * to * = 5 x 3dctogs, 10 x ch1’s + 10 ch1’s between the
3dctogs, 6sc’s. Work rnd 13 seven more times.
ROUND 12 CONTINUED… Camel.
Remove stitch marker, work *1 dcfp over the hdcfp.
Ch2, 1sc into the ch3 sp ( rnd), ch2, work 1 dcfp over the next
hdcfp, ch2, 1sc into ch3 sp (rnd8), ch2, 1 dcfp over next hdcfp.
Continue this sequence over Grape “petals” = 10 ch2 sp’s, 5 x sc
( into ch3 sp( rnd8), 6 dcfp’s. *
Work 1 hdcbp over 9 dcfp’s.
Work 1 Puff ( yo x 3, ch1 ), ch2,
1 Puff ( you x 3, ch1 ) into cor-
ner ch2 space.
1 hdcbp around next 9 dcfp’s.
Repeat * to *
Work 1 hdcbp over all the
hdcfp’s = 79 hdcbp’s.
Then repeat all. Close on a
dcfp.
ROUND 14/ Camel
You’ll begin this round with a dcfp on your hook.
Work **1 hdcbp over all 79 hdcbp’s ( rnd12). 1 dcfp over next dcfp
(rnd12). **
*2 hdc’s into ch2 space, skip over 1 sc, 2 hdc’s into next ch2 sp ( = 6
times). 1 hdcfp over dcfp ( = 4 times ), 1 dcfp over next dcfp.*

Work 1 hdcbp over 9 hdcbp’s (rnd 12). 1 hdcfp over 1 st corner

(rnd14). Work 3ch’s = 1 dc + 2 dc’s

Skip over 2 Puffs, **work 1 dc be-
tween 9 hdcbp’s. = 9dc’s. **
*Work 1 dcfp over the dcfp ( rnd14)
Work 1 Puff ( yo x 3, ch1 ) into sp
after 1st 3dctogs (rnd13), 1 Puff ( as
before ) after 2nd 3dctog (rnd13). 1
dcfp over the hdcfp.
= 10 Puffs ( yo x 3, ch1 ), 6dcfp’s*
Work 1 dc between all the hdcbp’s. =
79 dc’s.
Repeat * to * /then ** to **/then ***

ROUND 16 / Pale Pink
This is an independent round!
You’ll be working 15 Popcorns into all the spaces before, be-
tween and after the Puffs (rnd15).
Begin in the space directly after the 1st dcfp (rnd 15) and before
the 1st Puff (rnd15). Work 1 Popcorn, ch1. Repeat until you have
15 Popcorns worked between the Puff and dcfp’s ( rnd15). Do
this over all the Puffs/dcfps “ sections”. = 8 sections of 15 Pop-
corns +14 ch1’s.

ROUND 17/ Mocha
Attach new colour with a 1sc ( I’ve
stayed with Mocha ) into the 1st
Popcorn to the RIGHT of any cor-
ner ( closest to the corner ). Work
1 dcfp over the dcfp ( rnd 15).
**Work 1 dc between the dc’s
(rnd15) = 9dc’s. Ch3 ( behind the
corner ), 1sc into the ch2 corner
sp between 2 x 3dc’s (rnd15), ch3,
work 1 dc between next dc’s +
9dc**
*1 dcfp over dcfp (rnd15).
Work 1sc into top of 1st Pocorn,
1sc between Popcorns...repeat
this sequence + 29sc’s. Work 1
dcfp over the dcfp.*
Skip 1 st dc, work 1 dc between all

ROUND 18/ Pistachio Part One
Begin in space after 1 st dc

Working between the dc’s ( rnd

You’re working between all the
dc’s including the corner 3 dc’s
= 11 Puffs. Ch2 ( a corner ch2 )
work 1 Puff between all the
dc’s = 11 Puffs ( as before ). =
22 Puffs. Repeat this sequence over next 4 “corners”.
Part Two/ Mocha.
Begin with 2 ch’s ( = **1 hdc ) into space before 1 st dc ( of 79 rnd
17). Work 1 hdc between all the dc’s = 79 hdc’s.**
Work 1 trfp over 2 x dc fp’s ( rnd15/17). *Work 1 scbp around 5
sc’s ( the sc’s into and between Popcorns rnd 17 ), 1 trfp around
dcfp (rnd15). Continue this sequence = 25 scbp’s, 6 trfp’s.*
Work 1 hdcfp over next 8 Puffs( rnd 18 ), ch5 ( behind the 6 –Puff
corner ), 1sc into ch2 corner sp (rnd15), ch5 , 1 hdcfp over next 8
Puffs. I trfp over 2 x dcfp’s (rnd 15/17). Repeat * to */ then ** to
**. Continue the sequence.
Sl st into beginning 2 ch’s ( = 1 hdc ). Fasten off.

ROUND 19/ Denim
Begin this round with a ch2 ( = 1 hdc )
into sp directly after 1st hdcfp (rnd

*1 hdcfp over next trfp (rnd18), skip
1st scbp, work 1 hdc between stitch-
es = 4 hdc’s, 1 hdcfp over next trfp
(rnd18)*
Repeat * to * = 20 hdc’s, 6 hdcfp.
After last hdcfp over trfp, work *** 1
hdc between all the hdc’s ( rnd 18) =
79 hdc’s ***.
When you have worked * to * and
** to **, work 1 dcfp over 3 Puffs
(rnd18), 2dc, ch2, 2 dc into ch2 cor-
ner space, 1 dcfp over next 3 Puffs.
Work ** to ** and then * to * and
then you are back to *** to ***.
Tadaaa!
Please watch the videos if the **’s
are confusing. To close this rnd work 1 dcfp over the beginning
ch2 ( = 1 hdc). Do not fasten off.
ROUND 20/ Denim
Work 1 dcfp over ALL THE STITCHES, including the dcfp ( over
Puffs rnd 19), work a ch2 corner space for each corner.
To close sl st into beginning dcfp. Fasten Off.
ROUND 21/ Denim
Attach yarn ( I’ve continued with Denim ) with a standing sc, then
work 1 Puff ( yo x 3, ch1 ) into ch2 corner sp, work 1 Puff ( as be-
fore ) into same ch2 sp. Work 1 dcfp over all the stitches from
round 19 ( these will present behind the dcfp’s from rnd 20. = 153
dcfp ( although 1 keep getting 152! Aaargh! ).
Repeat your corner Puffs and continue. Sl st into top of 1st corner
Puff to close this round. Fasten off.
ROUND 22 / Raspberry.
Working into the back, behind your last row of dcfp’s(rnd 21).
Begin by working 1 sc into sp right after 2 corner dc’s ( 2 of 3 dc’s
rnd 19). Skip over to 2 dc ”legs”, work 1 x 5dc fan, skip 2 dc “legs”,
1sc… continue the sequence = 38 x 5 dc fans, 39 sc’s.
Corners = ch2, work 1 Puff ( yo x 5, ch1 ) into ch2 corner sp
(rnd18), 1 sc into ch2 corner ( now behind the Puffs corner ), ch2.
The video’s are very useful for the 2 optional embellishment
rounds: The Tassels made into each corner, and The 100 ch’s
Chain woven between the dc’s (rnd 17)
Finally, we have reached the very end of The Amanzi Throw. It’s
been a wild ride, seeing as none of the rounds for the throw were
planned, or tested, in advance! But, it’s been a lot of fun for me,
to allow myself free reign, and take all of you brave souls along
for the crochet ride!
