Tanco tire warranty letter for overseas replacement market

General rule Coverage The policy covers all the OTR,TBR,PCR and bias tyres manufactued by Tanco tire and sold in the oversaes replacement market. Period of validity Any tanco tire with a complete serial number is covered against defects in workmanship and meaterial for 3 yars(radial Otr tyre for 5 years)from the date of purchase. After that time, the warranty is terminated. Notice: The tire age calculated from the date of purchase, If the proof of purchase is not available, the tire date of manufacture will be applied. Warranty Exclusions: The following are not covered by this policy: 1.1Tire sold as a blemish or downstream tires. 1.2Tire repaired and retreaded. 1.3Tire beyond the warranty time limitation The tread wear and damage will not be covered by the warranty influenced by the following conditions. 2.1Transportation accident including puncture, cut, impact brakes, crack-up, wreck, collision etc. 2.2 Fire, accident or vandalism including misalignment, wheel imbalance, abnormal vibration and brake. 2.3Improper inflation, overloading, overspeed, misapplication, misuse, oversight, racing or unsuitable mounting and abnormal disassembling, vehicle mechanical damnification or wear 2.4 Damage or indirect damage result from aging, inconvenience, mechanical usage 2.5 Match with improper inner, resistance board and O ring. 2.6Irrelevant repair and storage 2.7After the tire is away from factory, the appearance is changed consciously (For example, put a white tessera in the blact tire). 2.8After the tire is away from factory, tire material is added (such as tire stuffing, encapsulant or counterweight). 2.9Uniformity or vibration claimeson tires purchased more than 6 months prior to presentation for adjustment, or if proof of purchase is not available, more than 6 months after the manufacture date. Exclusion: Tanco tire will not bear any indirect loss, time loss, vehicle loss and inconvenient loss within allowable scope of the law. Ownership of failre tyres Any failure tire compensated for all cost or on a pro-rata according to this policy is the possession of Tanco tire and will be kept for 3 months by overseas dealers. Meanwhile, overseas dealers should make records of the failure tire and keep in file.After 3 months, the tire can be disposed by overseas dealers. Owner obligations: Owner must guarantee to use tire under a standard pressure, loading and speeding. In order to be eligible for Tanco tire limited warranty service, owner must present the defective tire and documents with sales date to a dealer or a representative authorised by Tanco tire. Policy of warranty: Any tire covered by this policy that becomes unserviceable due to a covered warranty condition, such tire will, on a pro-rata basis as following standard, be adjusted by Tanco tire. 1. Measure of remaining tread depth Vernier caliper (or professional caliper) is used. When measuring, avoiding the wearing mark, and the vernier caliper (or professional caliper) must be vertical to the bottom of groove.The position of measure is groove depth of middle line on the treads of depth of the leading groove nearest to the treads center. Noted: avoid the strengthening veins and position of wearing mark when measuring. Measure the depth of four equal indexes on the tread circle, and the average value of the four data is regarded as the remaining tread depth. 2. TBR tire Coverage 100% adjustment In case of any TBR tire with the defects in the workmanship and materials, if the remaining tread depth is worn out by less than 3.0mm(less than 1.6mm for the out of round and out of balance), Tanco tire will give 100% adjustment as per the benchmark price. Coverage ajustment on a pro-rata remaining tread depth In case of any TBR tire with defects in the workmanship and materials, if the remaining tread depth is worn out by more than 3.0mm and the remaing tread depth is worn out by not less than 1.6mm, Tanco tire will give the adjustment on a pro-rata basis multiplying the Adjustment Benchmark Price. No warranty Once the remaining tread depth is less than 1.6mm, the tire is considered worn out completely and no more adjustment. Measure of remaining tread depth Vernier caliper is used, when measuring, avoiding the wearing mark, the bottom of caliper spans in the measuring groove, and the vernier caliper must be vertical to the bottom of groove. For longitude pattern tire: the position of measurement is groove depth of middle line on the tread. Measure the depth of four equal indexes on the tread circle, and the average value of the four data is regarded as the remaining tread depth and keep one decimal digits. For lateral or block pattern tire: the position of measure is groove depth if middle line on the tread near to the wear mark, measure the depth of four equal indexes on the tread circle, and the average value of the four data is regarded as the remaining tread depth and keep one decimal digits. 3. PCR Tire Policy of warranty Coverage 100% adjustment In case of any PCR tire with the defects in the workmanship and materials, if they are worn out less than 15% of original depth, Tanco tire will give 100% adjustment as per the benchmark price.

Coverage adjustment on a pro-rata remaining tread depth In case of any PCR tire with the defects in the workmanship and materials, if the tread is worn out more than 15% of original depth, and the remaining tread depth is more than 25% of original depth, Tanco tire will give the adjustment on a pro-rata basis multiplying the adjustment benchmark price. No warranty Once the remaining tread depth is less than 25% of original depth, the tire is considered worn out completely and no more adjustment. Measure or remaining tread depth Vernier caliper is used, when measuring, avoiding the wearing mark, the bottom of caliper spans in the measuring groove, and the vernier caliper must be vertical to the bottom of groove. The position of measurement is groove with wear mark. Measure the depth of four equal indexes on the tread circle, and the average value of the four data is regarded as the remaining tread depth and keep one decimal digitis. 4. Bias tire Policy of warranty Coverage 100% adjustment In case of any tire with the defects in the workmanship and materials, if the tread is worn out less than 2.00mm, Tanco tire will give 100% adjustment as per the benchmark price. Coverage adjustment on a pro-rata remaining tread depth In case of any tire with the defects in the workmanship and materials, if the tread is worn out more than 2.0mm, and the remaining tread depth is more than 2.0mm, Tanco tire will give the adjustment on a pro-rata basis multiplying the adjustment benchmark price. No warranty Once the remaining tread depth is less than 2.0mm, the tire is considered worn out completely and no more adjustment. Measure or remaining tread depth For lateral pattern tire: if the section width is over 9.00inches, measurment point is 30-35 mm position to the tread middle line; if the section width is between 7.00 inches and 9.00 inches, measurement point is 25mm position to the tread middle line; if the section width is less 7.00inches, measurement point is 20mm position to the tread middle line. Mixed pattern design and longitude pattern design tire: the measurement position is the groove which is closest to middle line. Measure the depth of three equal indexes on the tread circle, and the average value of the three data is regraded as the remaining tread depth. Appendix The warranty is valid from november 1st,2007
