The Positive Aspects Of Heros In The Modern World
Superman, Batman, Ironman, Hulk, Thor, etc. All heroes in the world, but not just superheroes
are heroes . Everyone has the potential to become a hero, and heroism traits are a part of
everyone. A hero isn t always the strongest human being that risks their life, a hero is someone
who makes a positive impact in someone else s life and overcomes challenges. Bob Riley said,
Hard times don t create heroes. It is during the hard times when the herowithin us is revealed. This
quote proves how a hero faces these hard times and defeats these obstacles that face them. There
are many examples of heroes in the modern world. These people that become unique heroes are
regular people like you and me. The only difference is, these unique heroes take an extra step and
make a footprint in the world. There were, and are many situations and natural disasters in the
word that help bring out these heroes. For example, there were dozens of heroes during the 9/11
attacks. People from all different backgrounds became a hero saving other lives and making a
difference in random stranger s life. One hero during this hard time in America was known as the
man in the red bandana. He obtained this nickname because he wore a red bandana to cover his
mouth and lungs while helping others. He worked on the 104th floor and saved dozens rescuing
them and accompanying them down to safety. On September 11, the man in red in bandana had
positive impacts on others by saving the lives of many strangers.
Little Red Riding Hood By Charles Perrault
In the version of Little Red Riding Hood , Charles Perrault makes the story into a life lesson for
young female children. Charles Perrault twisted the ending of the story by instead of Little Red
tricking and getting away from the big bad wolf; she was eaten by the wolf and so was her
grandmother. Not so happy ending, but it has a point to it. Little Red Riding Hoodin this version is
the representation of all young females that are or have been targeted or victimized by any adult.
Here in the text it explains how and why Charles Perrault chose Little Red Riding Hood to make
his point. Charles Perrault s version of Little Red Riding Hood was told in a way that reveals more
than just a children s story tail. There is a social group that is portrayed... Show more content on

Charles Perrault has a side note at the end of his writing of the moral of the story, in it he states,
Children, especially attractive, well bred young ladies, should never talk to strangers, for if they
should do so, they may well provide dinner for a wolf. He said calls predators wolf because no
one knows what they are going to do, who they are going to get, how sneaky they are, and the
urgency of having to feel that dominate side. That is why children, especially little girls, are always
the target to these predators.
Overall, Charles Perrault reconstructed the story of Little Red Riding Hood so that Little Red has
a purpose. Little Red Riding Hood in the story is the symbol for all the young female children
society group. She was initially picked because of her actions throughout the story that are so
commonly found in our society today. Older adults getting through kids, strangers taking little girls,
and just like Charles Perrault said ...never talk to strangers, for if they should do so, they may well
provide dinner for a
Being A Tough Climb By Adam Lambert
Adam Lambert says, Being different is always going to be a tough climb. What do the stories
from the Pixar people tell us about what it is like to be a kid and be on that tough climb? Pixar
people is trying to tell us that being different is okay and if you stay true, strong, and loyal to
yourself and you will create happiness and self esteem within yourself. They explained how being
gay and coming out was extremely difficult but no matter how hard things may seem things will
get better if you start thinking about the future and not just the things that are happening now.
Everyone in life goes through some type of struggles in life and there is always someone in the
world that is experiencing the same things that you are What can we do to help the kids who are
different, for whatever reason? How can we help them feel less alone? We can talk to them and tell
them that being different is what makes them who they are. I would also explain to them that being
strong and realizing that not everyone in the world accepts people who are different but then there
are those who do. That is why they must befriend people who are similar to them and accepts them
for who they are. Because changing themselves for the sake of others will not contribute to their
happiness. I think that letting kids know that are loved and that you there for them when things are
difficult in life gives them the feeling of support. And this is what a child needs in order to stay
strong and think positive.
Iaccac s Code Of Ethics In Criminal Justice
Ethics in Criminal Justice Journal Assignment Week 4 Thomas Affeldt
1.After reviewing the IACCAC s code of ethics in the learning modules, what would you include or
exclude from the code and why? Discuss your thoughts about the code.
I would move to exclude the willingly share information with the public with openness and candor
from the IACCAC s code of ethics. My reasoning for this is that in my experience of being both a
secured and a community officer of corrections, common policy was to avoid giving statements to
the public or press. This duty was given to a public information officer. If I had the ability to add to
the code, I would add that Information will be made to the public by the acting information officer
and that no other employee is able to release information without permission from their superior
officer. In my opinion, this will relieve the burden of officer to feel obligated to speak regarding a
case and also protect them from potentially releasing any information that may still be under
investigation or protected information.
2.Discuss the elements that contribute to the correctional officer subculture, and show how this
subculture impacts officer behavior.
Each corrections officer relies on his fellow officer to protect him in a violent environment. Likewise,
the relationship an officer had with inmates place a role in maintaining peace within that
environment. Respect plays an important role in for both officers and inmates. Peace is the end
Hamlet s Weaknesses
Hamlet is one of the most complex characters in literature. He changes a lot throughout the story. His
mental state is what really leads to his death and the death of the King, Queen, and Laertes.
Hamlet has a couple weaknesses throughout the story. His first weakness or flaw would be in the
very beginning where he seems crazy in love with Ophelia. Polonius asks Ophelia, talking about
Hamlet Is he crazy with love for you? Ophelia replys I m not sure, but I m afraid he might be
(Hamlet, 83). Polonius is Ophelia s father and he says he has seen many girls fall for Hamlet s
tricks and they all end up with a broken heart. He was warning his daughter to stay away from
Hamlet and to send all of letters back and not give him the time of day. This is when Hamlet started
acting crazy towards Ophelia and his main weakness in this part was love. ... Show more content on

One good example of this weakness would be in act 3 scene 2 when Hamlet has characters
perform the play called Mousetrap . The play was altered by Hamlet to reenact how Claudius
murdered Hamlet s father. Lucianus pours the poison into the sleeping king s ear (Hamlet, 173) .
At this point Claudius realizes that the whole play was intended to reenact what had happened in
real life and he begins to get very upset and stops the play. The reason this shows the weakness of
Hamlet is because Claudius has Hamlet arranged to be killed as soon as he is sailed off to another
area. Claudius could not put the heavy law down on Hamlet because everyone in Denmark loved
him so much. Hamlet should have thought this whole thing through a little more and realized that
by doing this play, Claudius would get upset and have to do something to stop everyone from finding
out the truth. If Hamlet spent more time thinking about the outcome he probably would have chosen
a different way of approaching this
President Of The United States
His power, his passion, is the fabric of America. And it s woven by work ethic and dreams and
drive and faith in the Almighty, what a combination. (S, Palin) Donald Trump is powerful,
persuasive and risky. As a candidate for President of the United States, Trump stands strong to
purported morals. His campaign video depicts him as the ultimate candidate ; an individual is
who has the ability to stand up for middle class American s yet be strong enough to institute
change, which the Obama administration has been perceived as failing to do. However we are
also able to see how Trump has used his power to shape his ideal self into something he is not.
Someone who uses codes and signifiers in his favour to fabricate new ideas and conventions.
Donald Trump has a strident voice, but those who stand with him appear silent in stark contrast.
The reason for this being that Trump s campaign, even down to his fan base, is centred on
oppression. His goal is to appeal to middle class, white citizens who feel that they have been
deprived of the American Dream. That is; the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal
opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative
(Oxford Dictionaries). He targets this subgroup and directs their resentment to the people who have
tarnished this American Dream . For example, Trump has voiced that he wants to deport all
Mexicans and build a wall between the borders demonstrating his strong motive to
Personal Identity In The Movie Finding Forrester
Identity is what defines a person, their personality, interests, and their ideals. For some people, it
s easy to show off their personality, but for others, and can be hard. Some people see it as a way
for people to criticize them based on who they are. In the movie, Finding Forrester, William
Forrester is a well known author for his popular book, yet he hides away in his apartment because
he doesn t want to be judged based on his work. This leads to struggles that William deals with all
because he wants to keep his identity hidden. A young boy named Jamal Wallace has a similar
issue. He is academically gifted, yet he doesn t show it off because he doesn t want to stick out
from his friends. The two eventually meet, become friends, and solve their issues together. Jamal
helps William escape his apartment, while William gives Jamal tips on what makes a good writer.
Finding Forrester gives a good lesson in being true to oneself and expressing personality. If
someone is too self conscious about their personality, it can be hard to keep their identity hidden,
especially in uncomforting situations. Some people feel more comfortable about who they are
with certain people. In Finding Forrester, there are a lot of instances that show how people feel
safer talking about who they are with friends, or family. Early on in the story, William and Jamal
discover a bond between each other and soon become good friends. This friendshipthat William and
Jamal share created a trust between the
The Main Causes Of The Great Depression
1.The main causes of the Great depression were mainly sparked up in the 1920s. It was not just one
thing that caused America s economy to suffer drastically. In fact, there were multiple causes that
contributed to the Great Depression, such the Wall Street crash, Farm overproduction, and finally
Reduction in purchasing. FDR was president and enforced New Deals that helped get the U.S out of
the Depression.
The Wall Street crash was one of the biggest contributors to the Great Depression. It was when the
stock markets crashed on October 24, 1929, banks announced that funds will be available to be sold
as stocks. Within 5 days the market will still decreasing and by October 29, 1929, the market fully
crashed, and they couldn t stop the sell off. Which resulted in the economy losing more than $40
billion. Because prices fell due to the rapidly increasing unemployment and decreasing in production,
which left the prices higher than their actual amount which contributed to the downfall.
Another factor that contributed to the Great Depression was the farm overproduction.
Throughout the 1929 farm incomes began to drop because of the surpluses and over productions.
In 1920 an acre was $69 it continued to drop until $31 in 1930. Agriculture was already in a
depression before the Great Depression hit and it lasted until 1939 during the outbreak of WWII.
The income for a family in 1929 was around $750 but for farm owners, it was around $273.
Agriculture was a big problem due to 30% of
Learning And Development Of Young Children
One of the most frightening words in caregiving is, curriculum, that word carries a lot of weight
and pre conceived notions for me. I m figuring out that curriculum isn t as scary a word as it
sounds, when I first saw it on the syllabus I thought, wow I m in deep now, that s the hard part.
After our discussions in class and reading through the textbook I realized that curriculum for infants
and toddlers shouldn t scare me, but it does have a lot of depth. A lot of my focus has been on
stimulation in my recent journal entries, the importance of it for learningand development. Now my
focus will shift on how important a lack of stimulation is equally important when it comes to the
development of young children. The balance of supporting... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Or possibly an organized experience based on the state standards which correlate to age,
developmental level and use of gathered thoughtful materials. Knowing when to ask questions and
how to ask them is a skill I would love to master. I know this will take time and experience for me,
the book also elaborates on the timing of questions and their relevance, called scaffolding. Practice
makes perfect and I am trying to constantly pose relevant and considerate questions in order to
further expand thinking. Another form of respectful caregiving is simply being present, how can I
help a child approach and better understand their experiences if I m not paying careful attention.
This is a huge part of relationship, by desiring to understand the way a child is trying to connect,
learning their transmission level and helping them understand mine. With some of the students at
Miss. Kellies house a lot of the children are on the cusp of understandable verbal language. Often
times I have to ask the children to repeat themselves or speak up because I don t understand them,
I also rely on cues from the environment, once I figure out what they are saying I slowly repeat
what they are trying to convey. The often look at my lips and face when I do this, I know they are
listening and learning. That alone is relationship based curriculum, especially when I learned the
different ways the

VOT Measurement of ESL Saudi Learners? English Stops /p/ and /b/
1. Background:
A. Introduction: Languages make meaningful words by combining sound segments depending on
rules. Children try to acquire these sounds through listening. By the time goes on, they have a
linguistics competence that helps them produce meaningful sounds. Students who learn a second
language or a foreign language face issues due to the different phonetic system of their first language
and the second language. If they have a sound in the target language is not exist in their mother
tongue, they produce it like the closest sound they have in their first language (Ahmad 2011). ...

Table 1. The Phonetic Inventory of Saudi Arabic Many research papers have talked about measuring
stop consonants voicing. There are many researchers put their attention on figuring out the
difficulties of pronouncing voicing and voiceless consonants by L2 learners such as (Binturki, 2008;
Flege and Port, 1981; Al Saidat, 2010). The difference between voicing and voiceless consonants is
the voicing that occurs during the stop closure interval. The consonant is voiced when there is
voicing, while if there is no voicing, the consonant is voiceless. However, Lisker and Abramason
(1964) do not see that consonant stops (p, b, t, d, k, g) could be distinguished depending on a
distinction feature like the vocal cords voicing. For that reason, they proposed a distinction feature
between voiced and voiceless consonants which is Voice Onset Time (VOT). They defined VOT as
?the time interval between the burst that marks release of the stop closure and the onset of quasi
periodicity that reflects laryngeal vibration? (1964, 422). Since English voiceless bilabial stop /p/ is
not found in Saudi Arabic, Saudi speakers of

The protagonist is confronted by a strong moral argument when he agrees to help participate in a
burglary, but the stakes rise when two people end of up dead. Now he has to cover up his
involvement. It s a solid dilemma for a taut thriller.
The plot is driven by the protagonist s goal to keep his involvement a secret from the police and
the woman he cares for. The stakes are high. If caught, he loses his freedom. The stakes are also
personal. He could lose the woman he loves and his chance at redemption. Overall, the plot is a
good set up for conflict, tension, and inner character struggle.
The theme seems to be driven by life choices, and by the idea that the choices one makes will have
grave consequences. While the moral dilemma is strong, the script would benefit from more
development.
The story opens with the protagonist Bobby being released from his position as a baseball player. It s
a bit vague regarding why, but sets the idea that he has failed. The story also opens for Bobby
more like a drama vs. a thriller. In fact, the opening focuses a bit more on Michael than it does on
Police Corruption and Misconduct
Police Corruption and Misconduct We all know that Police Officers and those involved in Law
Enforcement are typically good people who we entrust to uphold our laws and rules in society.
For them to be able to do their job however we grant them several privileges that that empower
them more than the average citizen. Their status at times can make them appear above the law
since they are the ones upholding and enforcing it and with all due respect I believe mostly of
those individuals are responsible and respectable however as we know from history time to time
such privileges an lead to corruption and the abuse of power which they are granted. The following
CNN news article contains a hint of some of the corruption that can take place. Taking place in
King City California a rural and agricultural area recently where 6 policeofficers along with the
former chief of police were arrested for several charges including conspiracy. Accusations claimed
that the arrested officers took advantage of their powers and would impound the cars of local
citizens typically those in the lower class and poor with the goal of those victims not being able
to afford the impounding fees and then selling the vehicles to make a profit afterwards. The
owner of a local towing company was also arrested being believed to be part of the corrupt officer
s conspiracy. Dean Flippo who is the District Attorney of Monterey County believed the conspiracy
would take the following steps in order. First one of
