Ken and I had a very unpleasant meeting.
Ken wouldn t hear about the employee assistance program, so I recommended he see a therapist.
Well,
Ken felt humiliated. The only reason he went is because he believed he was under pressure from

I think he s dangerous, Morris interjected. Harold ignored Morris s remark and continued. Ken s
case is a little c o m p l i c a t e d because ot personal problems he has right now. You know, it s not
uncommon for middle aged executives like Ken to engage in aberrant behavior when they re under
intense pressure. For
Ken, it means wearing a motorcycle o u t f i t and roaring around on a
Harley. He s going back to a time when he was younger and felt he was more in control of his life.
But the real problem is notJCen.
Nor ijjjt the reorganization plan itself.
It s the human factor. Change is inherently stressful. Ken wants to do a good job, and he sees the
reorganization making it difficult for him to do the quality work he values the kind of work that s
made him a star.

Reliable Crossbow Reviews
Buy from the most reliable crossbow reviews Crossbows are a great hunting tool that provide the
best in class stealth as well as functionality with little drawback, there is no recoil, the kill is clean
and the arrow can be reused, while the recipe for the weapon does sound good, the problem
comes to when one has to actually buy one. There are many available brands of crossbows and it
is up to the customer to choose which is best suited, while the differences may look subtle, they
tend to make all the difference, like the grip of a crossbow, the customer has to ensure that the

Hades In Greek Mythology
In Greek Mythology, there are Gods and Goddesses for many things, such as happiness, fertility,
and celebrations. However, there are not many Greek Gods and Goddesses for grim matters, such
as death. Hades is the God of the dead and wealth and is the King of the Underworld. Hades is a
Greek God with an interesting childhood, a special family, and many myths surrounding him.
Hades had a very unusual childhood. As a young child, he and his brother, Poseidon were swallowed
by his father Cronus, due to a rumor that one of his children will dethrone him. The rumor was true,
when Zeus, his younger brother tricked him into throwing up all of his children. Then, all three of
the brothers teamed up and defeated Crous along with all the other Titans. Afterwards, they drew
lots for the share of the world. He drew the Underworld, which was the least favorable out of the
choices. This is why Hades now rules the Underworld, while his brothers rule on the Earth. ... Show

His wife, Persephone was forcefully brought to the Underworld to marry him. Hades and Zeus,
father of Persephone formed a plan that would trap her and bring her to Hades. The plan worked
and Persephone now enjoyed being the Queen of the Underworld. Next, Hades wanted some
children for his family. However, he was considered infertile, due to being the God of the dead.
Therefore, he got Zeus to impregnate Persephone, Zeus daughter. Afterwards, he was given two
children, Macaria and Erinyes. In the end, Hades was now given a family thanks to help from his

The Pros And Cons Of Technology
Millennials and technology are almost synonymous today. Technology is everywhere and is a
hugely important part of the world today. While that is usually seen as truth, some people
question the requirement of technology in schools, employers looking at candidate s social
medias, and if technology is good to be used in schools. Many people think it can be a distraction
or that it should not be required. Millennials do things very different from the way past
generations have previously. Technology plays a huge part in the lives of every child now.
Technology can have many pros and cons and some people debate the validity of the claims that
technology can help students. Schools no longer strictly ban technology but rather encourage it.
Today s generation can communicate with people across the world, do schoolwork, shop, and
attend school all online. This is usually seen as a big advantage to students now. This prepares
students more for the things they will have to do in college and in their future careers. Most jobs
and colleges rely heavily on technology now more than ever. Teachers even keep their lesson plans
in folders on their computers. But can technology negatively impact a child s future? Many people
now understand the benefits of teaching students how to be proficient with technology. There are
many new jobs that came about with the rise of technology. But there are also downsides to the
quickly growing online community. Terry Heick of teachthought, a website that promotes itself as
being informational to 21st century teachers says that technology can be a distraction among
students that can be hard for teachers to restrict It may be difficult for a teacher to monitor her
students so closely in class as to determine whether they are utilizing educational apps on their
tablets or browsing Facebook. (Heick 1). Many schools also provide students with their own
computers or tablets for them to use while they are in attendance. This can be a problem for many
schools because of the huge financial commitment this can be. Many schools choose to provide
students with Apple products. Apple products can be extremely expensive to supply children with,
the most inexpensive Apple computer is the MacBook at $1299,
Hydrofracking Research Paper
Humans have been burning fossil fuels even before the Industrial Revolution, and most scientists
acknowledge that our planet has warmed ten times faster than ever before. Throughout previous
history, we have established that the Earth s average rate of change has been about one degree per
thousand years. However, in the previous 100 years, the Earthhas warmed about one degree. This
alarming fact has frightened scientists, as the change has occurred ten times faster than usual. We
need to find alternative energy resources in order to prevent this immense change from occurring.

A solution to this problem is using natural gas, which is obtained through hydraulic fracturing. This
is a fairly simple process, which involves getting at underground ... Show more content on

Hydraulic fracturing also causes a great change on our planet that most people are not aware of
earthquakes. Earthquakes induced by human activity have been documented in a few locations in
the United States, Japan, and Canada. The cause was injection of fluids into deep wells for waste
disposal and secondary recovery of oil, and the use of reservoirs for water supplies (Reader, 2011).
The process of hydrofracking involves using millions of gallons of water, which an estimated 200
tankers can bring. This is greatly harming our environment as it is draining our water supply
The Codes Of Ethics In The Code Of Engineering Ethics
2.0Introduction

The word ethic itself is defined as a set of moral values and the system of moral principles that have
been used to interact and communicate between one individual to the group of people, community
or association. When it comes to codes of engineering ethics, we must know that this is a set of
moral principles that need to be applied in the profession as engineers. In other words, engineering
ethics bring the meaning as a set of law and specific rules for the engineer to be follow in their job
profession scope and applied in working environment.

Code of engineering ethics was created with formal organization at least at the late of 19th century.
As years passed by, with more developed and organized ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The most common engineering ethics will be by various professional societies like American
Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE),
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and etc. These engineering ethics have only
several differences but all are using the same theme except for the IEEE code of ethics.

It is important to know that the big companies out there or huge organization may have their own
engineering code of ethics with the same objectives as to increase the integrity and quality of the
work profession for each of the engineers and have their specific guidance in their work scope.

Noted that, this set of engineering ethics is very important and crucial for all the engineers to
follow as it give a complete guidance and law for engineering profession job. All the systems
regarding to the engineering scope can be done successfully with conformity in the aspect of safety,
environment, welfare and public community if and only if the whole set of system is being
Robert Frost Alienation Essay
Many of Robert Frost poems, such as Birches, Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, Mending
Wall, and many others all display alienation. Robert Frost loved writing poem about nature and
urban areas as well. In most of these poems Robert Frost portrays alienation, this could be,
because he himself experienced alienation. Alienation means to feel like you re lonely, it is not
literally being alone. You can be in a crowded of hundreds of people and still feel alone, or left
out. We all experience Alienation at some point in time during our lives. Alienation can be just a
small thing like being picked last in a game of kickball, or being left out of a secret. There is a theme
of alienation in Robert Frosts poems, there are three things or... Show more content on

Rowles) They experience more being left out than any other age group, that is very sad.
Another character that helps develop the theme of alienation in Robert Frost s poems, is the boy
in Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening. It may not make sense but some people are less
lonely all by themselves, rather than being with people. One thing that can make people feel this
way is nature. Nature has a beauty and way about it that makes some people feel less alone and
happy. The boy in the poem Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, He would rather be in the
woods watching the snow than be at home. In the poem it says The woods are lovely, dark and
deep (13) He is saying the wood are a beautiful place that seems almost better than his home. This
boy is probably feeling alienated in town. He s probably thinks my horse and the woods will not
alienate me so why leave. In an article it defines Alienation as Alienation is a subjective state, a
feeling of being a stranger, as if one were not one s normal self. (Abir K. Bekhet) I think this
definition is exactly what the boy is feeling when he is in town with other people. He feels left out
of things, treated like a stranger, why would you want to go back to a place like that, when nature
makes you forget all of it.
The last character or thing in Robert Frost s poems, that helps develop the theme of alienation if the
boy in the poem Mending Wall. The boy in Mending Wall, is
The Impact of the Media on the Vietnam War Essay
The Impact of the Media on the Vietnam War

This essay will discuss to what degree the media can be blamed for the United States loss in the
Vietnam conflict ending 1975. It will be based predominantly on key written resources on the
subject, but it will also contain by means of an interview certain first hand observations from a
Vietnam War veteran.

For the sake of conciseness, and in order to focus the bulk of the content on the main topic, this
essay will make certain assumptions. Most importantly, the essay assumes that the conflict in
Vietnam was, indeed, lost by the US. It also presupposes that #65533; due to the political climate in
the US #65533; the war itself was unavoidable. Finally, the essay takes for granted ... Show more

Whatever the motives for conflict, they are incorporated in individual attitudes and expressed in
popular opinion. (Albig 1939, 139) It has often been argued that Defence Secretary Robert
McNamara has done more to shape that conflict than anyone outside the Viet Cong (Kennedy 1993,
93). This is an important illustration of the power of the media; through the media, The domino
theory [was] the dominant interpretation of events in Indochina (Schulzinger 1998, 88).

{mosgoogle center}

By nature, the role of the media is to tell the people what is going on. In the case of the Vietnam
war, the most important role became to inform the people at home how the boys in Indochina were
doing. The current consensus is #65533; with the restrictions imposed on the US troops in Vietnam
#65533; that the US never had a realistic chance in the Vietnam conflict. As one Vietnam veteran
puts it: it was the politicians [who] lost the war in Vietnam, by declaring we couldn t go into
Cambodia and Laos, which is where the NVA strongholds were. (Melnick 2002)

While political issues like these were slowly demoralising the soldiers fighting the war, the media
were still telling a heavily rose coloured version of the truth . When the television images were
shown in America before 1968, the editors had policies about what to show: More specifically, there
were guidelines that were designed to
Analysis Of George Ritzer s The Mcdonaldization Of...

George Ritzer s book The McDonaldization of Society opened and exposed one of what can be
considered societies major flaws: McDonaldization. Ritzer suggests that in the late 20th century the
socially structured form of the fast food restaurant has become the organizational force representing
and pushing rationalization further into everyday lives and individual identity. Henry Ford was the
first McDonaldization pioneer with his vision of an assembly line for improving the production of
automobiles. His revolutionary idea dramatically changed how many automobiles could be produced
and was very efficient. You might be thinking that this sounds pretty good. After all, being more
efficient is a good thing. Controlled, consistent and measurable outcomes also sound good. So, what
s the problem? It turns out that over rationalizing a process in this manner can cause irrationality.
Which means that a rationalized system may result in events or outcomes that were neither
anticipated or desired, and in fact, may not be so good. For example, McDonald s chain of
restaurants. Fast food often turns out to be just the opposite and you have to deal with long waits in
lines. Fast food is not necessarily good food either, in fact, McDonald s food is extremely unhealthy
and the taste is average. McDonalds also has issues pertaining to the way their food is made, and
also the amount of trash that accumulates from their process.
