Essay on Robin Hood Case Study
What Should Robin Hood Do? There are several issues Robin Hood needs to consider. First,
Robin Hood needs to make sure his own personal grievances against the Sheriff do not cloud his
vision and what is in the best interest of his Merrymen as a group. Second, take a broad look at the
overall organizational structure by conducting an environmental scan, a strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, and threats (SWOT) analysis and/or using a variety of organizational assessments
(measurements). A SWOT analysis will help determine some strategic alternatives and how the band
can attempt to fulfill its mission and achieve its goals. Robin Hood can use the SWOT analysis to
identify where he is strong and vulnerable, where he should defend and... Show more content on

Before jumping into any major organizational changes, issues will need to be worked out so the
Merrymen are all oriented in the same direction and remain united and unified in the way the
band needs to operate. The fear of the unknown tends to cause greater anxiety than the change
itself. Generally, involving personnel (the Merrymen) is a core element process for personnel
empowerment to make them feel valued and important for team building. This will ensure Robin
Hood gets as much feedback as he can on what the Merrymen think the problems are and what
should be done to resolve the band s issues (McNamara, Strategic Planning, 1999). Next, Robin
Hood needs to plan and strategize on how to take care of his Merrymen and address the issues to
handle the overwhelming growth of new recruits. He is responsible for the training, health,
morale, and safety of the band, as well as its well being. The rapid size increase of the band
creates several different issues within itself that Robin Hood must deal with as well; (1 depleting
the forest resources for food and shelter causing the band to outgrow its present location; (2 how to
increase revenues and reduce cost; (3 find a new legitimate market for making revenues, because
travelers avoid the forest for fear of being robbed; (4 because of the large number of new recruits,
security for the band must
A Lesson Before Dying By Ernest Gaines
A hero is not only someone with superpowers but can be anyone. It can be anyone like you or me.
A hero is someone who is willing to stand up for other people. The book, A Lesson Before Dying,
takes place in Louisiana and is about an innocent Black man convicted and sent to the electric chair.
In the story there are real people that Ernest Gaines alludes to. Ernest Gaines makes an allusion to
Joe Louis and Jackie Robinson. Beside these two, Mamie Till also stepped up and was audacious.
They were all fearless and gave hope to many other people because of what they were doing.
These heroes took a stand against society and changed the world for everyone. A hero isn t just
Superman but someone who stands up for what they believe in and is a sense of hope for everyone.
Jackie Robinson was the first African AmericanMajor League Baseball player. In the article,
Robinson was calm and knew how to ignore the racism. Robinson didn t fight back when he was
confronted with racism (www.biography.com/jackie robinson). Jackie Robinson changed baseball
by ending racial segregation, which was allowing other African Americans to play in the major
leagues. Jackie Robinson succeeded in putting the prejudice and racial strife aside, and showed
everyone what a talented player he was (www.biography.com/jackie robinson). Jackie put aside his
difference and proved to everyone that he was no different than white players. Jackie was calm when
confronted with racism. He didn t fight or attack
Symptoms And Symptoms Of Chronic Pain
SPONDYLOSIS CHRONIC PAIN SYNDROME

Introduction and Definition of Chronic Pain

About 100 million Americans suffer from Chronic Pain, defined as pain that lasts longer than six
months. Chronic pain can be mild or excruciating, episodic or continuous, merely inconvenient or
totally incapacitating. With chronic pain, signals of pain remain active in the nervous system for
months or even years. This can take both a physical and emotional toll on a person.
Causes and Etiology of Chronic Pain
Chronic pain can be caused by many different factors. Often conditions that accompany normal aging
may affect bones and joints in ways that cause chronic pain. Other common causes are nerve damage
and injuries that fail to heal properly. The most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even the body s most basic defenses may be compromised: There is considerable evidence that
unrelenting pain can suppress the immune system. Because of the mind body links associated with
chronic pain, effective treatment requires addressing psychological as well as physical aspects of the
condition.
Some kinds of chronic pain have numerous causes. Back pain, for example, may be caused by a
single factor, or any combination of these factors:
Years of poor posture
Improper lifting and carrying of heavy objects
being overweight, which puts excess strain on the back and knees
A congenital condition such as curvature of the spine
Traumatic injury
Wearing high heels
Sleeping on a poor mattress
No obvious physical cause
Ordinary aging of the spine (degenerative changes)
Disease can also be the underlying cause of chronic pain. Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis and
Fibromyalgia are well known culprits, but persistent pain may also be due to such ailments as
Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, Stomach Ulcers, AIDS, and gallbladder disease.
In many cases, however, the source of chronic pain can be a very complex and even mysterious
issue to untangle. Although it may begin with an injury or illness, ongoing pain can develop a
psychological dimension after the physical problem has healed. This fact alone makes
Math Obstacles
After high school there are numerous things I want to do and accomplish in my life. There are
many obstacles that may get in the way of pursuing my goals. Math has a little to do with everything
in life. With determination I plan to accomplish my goals up to my full potential.

One goal of mines is to become a famous photographer. In order to accomplish these goals i ll need
to go to school to major in photography. Math has a lot to do with picture taking. You have to
count off before you take a picture you have and you have a number of filters. This is how math is
connected to photography. Another goal of mines is to be a musician. And not just a musician, but a
certified/professional musician. Math has a lot to do with music as well. In music, you have lines
and faces in which you have to count. This is how math is connected to music. ... Show more content

Birt-Hogg-Bde Syndrome Case Studies
Birt Hogg Dubé (BHD) syndrome is a rare inherited autosomal dominant disorder caused by
germline mutations in the folliculin (FLCN) gene [1 4]. Patients with BHD initially develop
fibrofolliculomas, typically as benign facial tumors, and lung cysts; whereby, increasing their risk to
develop renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and pneumothorax [1,3,4]. The majority of the BHD patient
population contain germline mutations in FLCN exon 11, a hotspot for diseasecausing mutations.
BHD research predicts FLCN mutations to result in a protein truncation of its c terminal end, thus,
suggesting the cause for its loss of function [1,2,5]. Due to BHD patients sharing clinical similarities
with patients expressing mutations in tumor suppressor, TSC1/2, such as:... Show more content on

Similarities Between Yeasts And Molds
Funguses include different yeasts and molds, both of which are unicellular microorganisms.
Both include species, that can be used for food processing.
Alcohol poisons most microbes, but yeasts have evolved to tolerate high alcohol concentrations
because they produce alcohol in an anaerobic biological process called ethanol fermentation.
They convert sugars are converted into cellular energy and produce ethanol and carbon dioxide.
Some of the yeasts create a foul taste and thus can t be used in the making of alcoholic beverages.
One of the yeasts used in brewing is Saccharomyces pastorianus.
If there is oxygen present yeasts produce only carbon dioxide, a process often utilized in baking. The
carbon dioxide produced by yeast is used to rise, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, molds can spoil food, produce toxic compounds and mold spores, all of which
can make ingesters sick.
On the other, certain species of molds are used in making of, for example, blue cheese, tempeh and
rennet.
Multicellular funguses produce fruition forms, also known as mushrooms, to effectively spread their
spores above the ground.
Mushrooms are capable of making their of wind. They release water, which then evaporates and
cools the air around the mushroom. Cooler air is denser than warm air and it flows away from the
mushroom, carrying the spores around 10 cm both horizontally and vertically.
Mushrooms are often used in the food industry. Not all of them are edible, but certain species are
considered a delicacy. One of these mushrooms are truffles. Truffles are usually found around
certain species of trees and they are picky when it comes to the soil they grow on. One thing that
makes truffles differ from most mushrooms is, that they grow underground. This makes extraction of
them a challenge without the help of a trained animal, usually dog, or female pig. The usage of pigs
is declining because of their tendency to eat the truffles they find, and the damage they cause to the
truffles mycelia during the
Maya Angelou And Emily Dickinson s Caged Bird And Hope Is...
In the poems, Caged Bird and Hope is the thing with feathers , Maya Angelou and Emily Dickinson
develop their themes through the characterization of non literal characters. In the poem Caged Bird
, Maya Angelou illustrates the idea of hope as always being by one s side during the best and worst
of times in life. It characterizes hope as caring and giving while not asking anything in return. In the
poem Hope is the thing with feathers Emily Dickinsonportrays the idea of freedom and imprisonment
through the use of characterization and an extended metaphor. While one birdis able to roam free and
have a good life, the other is forced to be confined in a cage where the only thing that cannot be
caged is its singing.

In Hope is the thing with feathers the author characterizes hope as being caring and always being
there when it s needed, which helps develop the theme of hope and perseverance. The following
line, And never stops at all , helps characterize the bird in the poem as persevering. This piece of
evidence shows that hope will always be there which characterization of caring. The line That
perches in soul , gives the characterization of perseverance. This line is portraying the idea of hope
always being with you, hence the line perching within you, or in your soul. The line And sour must
be the storm that could abash the little bird characterizes hope as persevering. The line illustrates
the bird as always being there even when times are tough. Even when one might think that there is
no hope, hope will always be there. The quote Yet never in extremity it asked a crumb of me
characterize hope as being giving. The line shows how hope will never ask for anything in return and
instead gives without expecting anything in return.

However, in the poem Caged Bird Maya Angelou characterizes the free and caged bird as, one bird
symbolizing imprisonment and limitations while the other symbolizes freedom, which further
develops the theme of inequality. The line And dares to claim the sky shows how unaware the
free bird is and further develops the idea of its freedom. This piece of evidence shows how unaware
the free bird is by exaggerating the extent of its freedom compared to the caged bird. In
Pros And Cons Of Brushtail Possum
Possums, they are a big menace in today s environment. With them eating our native animals and
eating our native trees that our animals live in. There are different types of possums in the world like
the Opossum that lives in the Western Hemisphere and there is also the Australian brushtail possum
which this inquiry is about. The Australian possumwas introduced into New Zealand during 1837
for the fur trade, they weren t a problem back then but now they are now considered a national
predator towards our native forests. The brushtail possum is one of three most damaging possumsin
NZ by killing native wildlife and also threatening the most endangered species in our forests, they
have an estimate of of at least thirty million possums in New... Show more content on

Unlike with the kill trap which one you put the animal s head into the hole of the trap it is dead.
The live capture trap is cheaper for a hectare so we can put more live capture into our native
forests so we can capture more possums and to release animals that we can help reproduce the
native animals that we really need in our forests. Kill traps are more expensive but is very
effective for mitigating the population of possums in the bay and can kill in an instant but some
must be humanely disposed of which is a minus for killing possums in a short time period this can
also affect the environment because if it isn t check regularly it will cause other animals to feed on
the possums carcasses and soon it will rot.
Cyanide
Cyanide is a toxin that will kill when consumed will kill within a ten second time period, this
poison is humane for killing possums but can affect the user of the poison. This poison is not
very reliable because it can also get eaten by non targeted birds they can die in a instant, cyanide is
quite expensive at around $200 to $2000 US dollars. Cyanide does have an antidote but people think
it is controversial, cyanide can also cause comas if it is inhaled it can also cause cardiac arrest so
that is why it isn t used as much as 1080
What the Hubble Telescope Has Taught Us
Abstract The needs for an instrument that would take images of the universe from the space were
inevitable since there were so many challenges studying space and the universe from earth. The
Hubble telescope, named after the great scientist who confirmed the big bang theory, was the
solution to this and it has been in space for the more than 20 years it was supposed to live. Over the
time, the telescope has sent home so much information that mankind has realized how little they
knew about the universe. This paper covers the needs for the Hubble telescope in space, the impacts
that it has had in physics and science and what eventually happens to the telescope when its time
expires. Introduction Scientists have always been fascinated... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The Goddard space flight centre is the location at which messages are transmitted from the
telescope. There are, however, four antennae involved in sending and receiving messages to and
from the Hubble telescope. The communication to the telescope happens by use of the tracking and
data relay satellite system with five located in different locations in the sky (NASA, 2012).
Naturally, it would be thought that satellite visibility is very important in the delivery of
information but the crux of the matter is that it does not affect anything since messages are
transmitted well in advance. Sometimes, when there is no visible satellite in the line of
transmission, there is a special data recorder lodged in the Hubble telescope which stores
information and promptly sends when a satellite is visible. The telescope has so many scientific
equipments which include computers and other communication devices and all have to be powered.
It is not possible to fit in batteries that are sufficient enough to power the telescope its entire life,
and, therefore, the telescope is fitted with solar arrays which collect solar energy to be used in
running the entire system (University of Manitoba, 2009). It is, however, important to note that there
are batteries fixed so that the telescope has energy to run during the time when the telescope is under
the shadow of the earth in
Canoeing Short Story
One day I asked my dad to go canoeing. I had never gone canoeing before but I was trying new
things and canoeing sounded intriguing. My dad told me he hadn t been canoeing for over 47
years. I asked him why and he suddenly got quiet like he was trying to think of something to say.
Eventually he just said he didn t like it anymore. I thought that was the end of the story because
we never did go canoeing that day. A few days later my dad came up to me and said there was
something he wanted to tell me. He seemed off edge and had been acting unusual the last couple of
days. Eventually, he spoke up and said that he would go canoeing with me. Once we got in the water
with the canoe, me sitting in front and my dad steering in the back, he started to tell me a story. He
felt bad for not taking me sooner but he felt that I wasn t ready to hear what he was about to tell
me. It was a story he had never told anyone before, and it was quite intriguing. He started off saying
that he forgot the ending but he knew how it at least started so he decided to tell me that at least. It
went a little bit like this:
He slithered up the muddy slope, slipping on the moss and mud. Canoes parked on the edge of the
river. He had never been so scared in his life. He might ve been climbing to what would eventually
become a major injury or possibly death, but in his eyes, it was all worth it. It had been at least a
week since he last saw someone besides the group he traveled with. It was a group of 5
