Pros And Cons Of Gun Control On A College Campus
Gun control is a major topic in today s society and It is broken into many subcategories that all have
different arguments and views. A few examples are The Second Amendment is not an unlimited
right to own guns, more gun control laws would reduce gun deaths and more gun control leads to
fewer suicides in the United States. The guncontrol category I am focusing on in this essay is, should
teachers and students be able to carry firearmson a college campus. I chose this since I am currently
attending college and this could have an effect directly on me or ASU. The idea of teachers and
staff being able to carry firearms on a college campus has come up many times in the media
recently due to the rise in mass shootings. Many states are now looking at this problem and voting
on it. This topic is always heavily debated due to the many different sides and varying beliefs on
gun control and safety. The NRA (National Rifle Association) has a heavy influence on the united
states and who should be allowed guns and what legislation is passed. The gun control topic of
firearms on a college campus has become politicized and is commonly drawn into political debates
and has become a political tool for winning elections. Some states have already voted and taken
action on this new idea and have allowed staff to carry guns on campuses and in cars parked and
locked in secure parking lots. Another major idea that is constantly brought up with campus carry
and firearms on campuses is student
Coronary Artery Disease Case Studies
Q1. What is the most likely diagnosis?
This man can be diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), further known as Coronary or
Myocardial Ischemia. There is a possible partial blockage of coronary arteries. CAD is a leading
heart disease and will be seen in the older population. Atherosclerosis is a major factor that plays a
role in CAD. This is because there is a thinning in the lumen of the blood vessels due to plaque or
fat build up. Constriction of the vessels causing an increase vascular resistance. Vasoconstriction
increases systemic blood pressure, hence, previous history of hypertension. Smoking is one of his
major symptom that is seen for his condition. Hypertension is the abnormally in high blood
pressure and we know smoking is a factor of increase in blood pressure. Diagnosis of CAD foresees
that there is an insufficient amount of oxygen delivery to the heart when increased in workload. As
he experienced tight chest pressure and shortness of breath after lifting boxes, an Angina Pectoris
chest pain due to an inadequate supply of blood to the cardiac muscle (Teresa Drake, 2018) is a
sign there is poor vascularization of the heart. He is not receiving enough ... Show more content on

(2014), states that increased or prolonged PR interval is due to the delay of the conduction in the
AV node. Due to this delay, the AV node, or the pacemaker of the heart, controls the electrical signal
movement from the AV node to the His Purkinje system. Prolonging the electrical signals from the
AV to the His Purkinje system, will increase the risk of Atrial Fibrillation. Atrial Fibrillation is the
quiver of the atria. This gives rise to heart Arrhythmia, hence why the man s heart was skipping beats.
As the heart is not functioning properly, it will not pump enough oxygenated blood back to the
systemic circuit. Hence, further seeing that he did not receive enough blood to the lungs to be re

Gender Issues Within The Society Essay
Gender issues in society have incited growing debates and an analyzing or in a sense a calling out
of of writers, books, movies, celebrities, historical figures on their views. It is really not a surprise
that C.S. Lewis being a popular figure back in time has found his work under scrutiny over his
views and writing off women. It is quite easy to dismiss his views as being a product of that time
and therefore dismissing any claims on labeling him .To some it is not so easy to simply dismiss
him as a product of his time, acquiring him different labels. Lewis because of his beliefs and
writing has been too labelled as either a misogynist or a sexist. These two labels while from the
same grouping there is a distinction between the two. An argument can arise from this, which is
was Lewis merely a sexist or was he a misogynist based on his writings and beliefs?
Sexism is usually defined as a discrimination based on gender (in this case women), while misogyny
comes from two Greek words, misein , to hate, and gyne woman. Sexism is reflected views of
socially constructed views of gender like girls cannot be leaders. Misogyny, on the other hand, isn
t merely a strong version of sexism it is a feeling of contempt or anger one can express at women
for challenging the norms of what women should look and act like. As pointed out before different
scholars saw his work from this view. In the Daughters of Lilith text, the author represents a view
that shows Lewis to be a
Effects Of Globalization On Culture
Globalization has more of a negative effect on traditions than a positive effect. Many cultural
traditions are extinct because a lot of cultures are modern and revolve their cultural practices off of
America s practices or another culture s practices. Globalization has a negative effect on cultures
and traditions in many ways; globalization causes traditions to disappear, older generations to feel
angry, and businesses to fail. Globalization is a positive thing because it causes a bigger bond and
better understanding of other cultures. In general, globalization causes more bad than good within
different cultures around the world. In specific, Globalization creates a disappearance of traditions in
different cultures, and sometimes even a disappearance of the cultureitself. In the articles, Some
Japanese Traditions Are on the Decline by Anthony Faiola, Fading Lights in Mumbai by Charukesi
Ramadurai, and Preface to How Does Globalization Affect World Society? , they all explain in
detail how globalization negatively effects traditions and cultures, whether it be through certain
buildings that change or a decline in traditional clothing, or even just culture in general. All of these
articles provide good examples to back up this thesis. Specifically, in Faiola s article, he talks about
how the traditional wedding kimonoin Japan fades because more wedding dresses in Japan are
similar to the western or American dresses. In the Preface to How Does Globalization Affect
What Is The Temperature On The Behavior Of The Low Cement...
According to the manufacturer, the type of SiC particles is green hexagonal, which means they
are of the type α SiC. Therefore, I think we need to look at the properties for this type of SiC only.
Before this, for choosing the value of CTE for SiC, I used the room temperature values declared
on Table 3 of the 1997 publication by R.G. Munro, which is attached to this message. For room
temperature the value 1.1 and for 500°C the value 4.4 is given. I noticed that for all other
experimental CTEs as well as theoretical assumptions, I am using CTE values that are averaged
between room temperature and elevated temperatures. Therefore, it makes sense to me to average
these two values and use the number 2.75 for CTE of this type of SiC particles.... Show more content

Do you think you possess any information that we can assimilate to our work? Is that plot referring
to the same matrix which is described in this draft? If so, I would appreciate if you provide that plot
and its relevant raw data to me.
P.S.: For your further information, in the present work, CS stands for NLI 122, CZ for NLI 110, and
CSZ for NLI 123.

I absolutely agree with you that this idea could make our work more powerful. Not only because it
can provide an extra control, also because the impact of the severity of the thermal shock response of
(comparable) refractories has not been well explored in the literature, to my best knowledge. I
proposed the same idea as a research topic in the past, however, our time and resources have
always been limited, and based on the available resources it was decided to explore other aspects of
the thermal shock phenomena. This experimental research could be generally designed in three ways:
1 Apply one temperature profile to multiple types of refractory and characterize the response of the
refractories.
2 Apply multiple temperature profiles to one type of refractory and characterize the impact of the
temperature profile.
3 Apply multiple temperature profiles on multiple types of refractory and characterize the response
of the refractories as well as the impact of the temperature profile.
For the present research we chose the
The Goal, By Dr. Eliyahu M. A Brief
The Goal: Rough Draft The Goal, by Dr. Eliyahu M. Goldratt, is a fictional management oriented
novel that demonstrates Goldratt s, Theory of Constraints via resolving the personal and
professional problems of the story s main character. The story is about a plant manager named Alex
Rogo, as he is six months into his first plant manager position at a UniCo manufacturing plant. The
plant is located in Barrington, Massachusetts, where Alex grew up. Throughout the book, Alex
discovers several concepts, theories and definitions, with the help of his mysterious mentor, Jonah,
by which he can evaluate the problems in his life and then implement the necessary changes in
order to improve or diminish his professional and personal issues. The first chapter gets the reader
acquainted with Mr. Alex Rogo and his apparent problems with his production plant. This is shown
through a confrontation between Mr. Rogo and his boss Mr. Bill Peach, the Division Vice President.
Bill informs Alex that production of his plant has significantly been reduced in the six months that
Alex has been working, and an important customer has an order that is several weeks overdue. Bill
instructs Alex that he must get that order shipped before anything else. Bill also says that if the plant
does not show substantial improvement within the next three months, he will close the plant. Since
moving back to his hometown six months ago, it seems adjustment isn t going well for his family. It

Self Assessment IIi And Vi
Self Assessment III and VI In self Assessment III the first sections talks about what type of
organizational system I would prefer. Organizational Structure is a system that defines the levels
of hierarchy within an organization. The organizational structure classifies each job, explains its
function, and who it reports to within the organization. Based on my scores they suggest I prefer
to work in a mechanistic structure rather than a organic structure. In a mechanistic structure
people work separately and specialize on only one task. Also within a mechanistic the hierarchy
of authority is well defined. The first section also measures my ability to delegate in the work
place. According to my score I need to substantial improve on my ability to delegate. Based on the
analysis delegating authority are what many managers have difficult doing. My ratio for being
able to give feedback is a four out four. This means my self perceived strength and weakness are
equal, but I could work to improve ratio to be more self perceived in strength. In the section labeled
careers it indicates that I my preferred organizational culturethat informal, humanistic, flexible, and
innovative culture. These traits fall under humanistic culture even thought my other score suggested
I prefer a mechanistic structure. It also indicates that I m not that committed to my job since my
score falls below the mean. This is ok since not being committed to ones job is the new norm than it

Understanding Business Research Terms and Concepts

There are many different types of quantitative data collection instruments and sampling methods
available to researchers. The ones that I have picked for the purpose of his paper are questionnaire,
sampling and surveying. Each can be a value to a researcher when completed with accuracy.

Validity is the degree to which an instrument measure what it is purports to measure. Invalid
instruments can lead to erroneous research conclusions, which in turn can influence educational
decisions. Reliability is the internal consistency or stability of the measuring device ... Show more

When analyzing data, such as the marks achieved by 100 students for a piece of coursework, it is
possible to use both descriptive and inferential statistics in your analysis of their marks. Typically,
in most research conducted on groups of people, you will use both descriptive and inferential
statistics to analyses your results and draw conclusions. So what are descriptive and inferential
statistics? And what are their differences? Descriptive statistics is the term given to the analysis of
data that helps describe, show or summarize data in a meaningful way such that, for example,
patterns might emerge from the data. Descriptive statistics do not, however, allow us to make
conclusions beyond the data we have analyzed or reach conclusions regarding any hypotheses we
might have made. They are simply a way to describe our data.
Descriptive statistics are very important because if we simply presented our raw data it would be
hard to visualize what the data was showing, especially if there was a lot of it. Descriptive
statistics therefore enables us to present the data in a more meaningful way, which allows simpler
interpretation of the data. For example, if we had the results of 100 pieces of students coursework,
we may be interested in the overall performance of those students. We would also be interested in
the distribution or spread of the marks. Descriptive statistics allow us to do this. How to properly
describe data through statistics
Latin American Revolution Thesis
When you think of a revolution that was the most impactful what do you think of? Most people
would think of the French Revolution or maybe the American Revolution. But most people wouldn t
think of the Latin American Revolution. The Latin American Revolution is overlooked by most of
society when in reality it is one of the most important revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries.
And most importantly, the revolution showed Latin Americans that their voices could be heard and
they had a say in the major aspects of their lives. When a revolution starts, it takes a large group of
people who passionately want change and they have to be willing to risk their lives. The passion
needed for a revolution was the passion the Latin Americans had. In
Noah s Ark Ministries International Analysis
And God said to Noah, I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with
violence because of them; now I am going destroy them along with the earth. (New Oxford
Annotated Bible, Genesis. 6:13) The biblical flood comprises chapters 6 9 in the Book of Genesis
of the Bible. The chapters state Gods disgust of what humanity had become, and his intentions to
cleanse the earth. One man and his family were picked by God to build an ark and save a male
/female of each animal. God s intentions led to Noah s Ark. Robert R. Cargill s essay (2010)

Cargill uses statistics from an article on the United States Geological Survey website (n.d),
stating if all of the water in the atmosphere rained down at once, it would only cover the ground to
a depth of 2.65 centimeters, about 1 inch . Lorence G. Collins (2009) uses scientific evidence to
refute a worldwide flood. Collins argument lies in the sedimentary rocks and the red beds
interlayered in with them. According to Collins (2009), these red beds are red because they
contain red hematite (iron oxide) which formed from magnetite grains that were oxidized while
the muds were exposed to oxygen in open air . If a worldwide flood happened, red beds would be
even across every region as the muds would be exposed to oxygen and open air at the same time.
Collins (2009) deems otherwise, stating red beds.. could not possibly have formed all at the same
time because no multiple worldwide climatic conditions are described.. in repeated cycles
occurring over and over again in that flood year . The amount of water in the atmospheric system,
and the difference in the sedimentary rocks below disprove Noah s Ark and the biblical flood.
After his science based arguments, Cargill goes to disprove other explanations of how a worldwide

Muhammad s Influence On Islam
In the year wchih followed the Revelation, Muhammad began his public preaching. The first
converts include his wife Khadija, cousin Ali, other people closely related to him, and eventually
more people from his own clan of Hashim. At first there was no sign of opposition against
Muhammad s teaching, but as it become more widespread in Mecca, people start seeing it as a threat
to the city s stability. Muhammads message about a single, all powerful deity negates the legitimacy
of the haram and its idols, puting the holy and neutral status of the site at risk. This theological clash
continued to put pressure on Muhammad and his followers. However, they receive protection
because of the solidity of the clan system. It had been Abu Talib, Muhammad s uncle, who united the
Hashim in support of Muhammad and protected him for his Meccan opposition.
In 619, both Khadija and Abu Thalib, two of Muhammad s most important protecters passed away
and his opposition became even more bold and determined to pressure Muhammad. It is important to
remember that the previous early success of the spread of Islam in Mecca could only be achieved
because of Muhammad s allegience and close relationship with these two important Meccan figures.
In other words, Muhammad s kinship paved the way for his teachings to be disemminated within the
Meccan society. As Meccans become more hostile towards Muhammad, he began to look outside his
native city for support. At this crucial point, Muhammad was
Essay On The Minotaur
The Minotaur represents both the human and the animal in us. Everyone has both human and
animal within them that could emerge at any time. As for the Minotaur, he was mostly animal, but
he was only doing what he could to survive. All of his wrongdoings cannot be made up for, his
remorse would mean nothing. Even though he was just trying to survive, the human side of him
should have influenced him not to eat the people that were sacrificed, but is he to blame?
Even though everyone blamed the Minotaur what people failed to remember is everyone has an
animal and human side. Everyone feels anger, or hatred at some point in their lives. What we do
about it and how we handle it is what truly matters. The phrase the Minotaur represents both the ...

The Minotaur s human side would have been less likely to emerge than his animal side that
consumed the majority of his personality. He had grown up not knowing any better, he was used
as a weapon by Minos, for power. The Minotaur never knew any better. He knew what he had to
do to survive and that is what he did, until the day he was slayed. Before the Minotaur s death,
remorse is something that would not have come across his mind. Remorse would have done
nothing for the beast. The families would never forgive him even knowing he did not know any
better. He took the lives of their loved ones and that is the only way anyone would ever see him,
as a beast without feelings, they would see him as a monster. All his sins were to wrong to be
forgiven by anyone. Nobody would care to even try to forgive the Minotaur, he was known by the
people as a terrifying being. Sadly, even though the circumstance was awful, the Minotaur could
only feel remorse if one day he was let out of the maze. If only he could have seen the real world and
how wrong his actions were he could possibly be forgiven. However, if he still ate people knowing
how wrong it is, he should not get any respect, remorse, or forgiveness by anyone. Genetics played a
big role in the Minotaur s behavior, but as for Minos, he greatly played a role in the Minotaur s life.
He ordered people to be sent as a human sacrifice to the hungry monster. He caused the animal side

Good Country People, a Review and Analysis Essay
Everyone wants to believe that they are beautiful. For this reason, we tend to seek out that
approval from others including our parents, friends, and other loved ones. Flannery O Connor s
story, Good Country People, focuses on this particular theme. In her narrative, a young girl named
Joy Hopewell longs for her mother s approval. When she does not find it, Joy begins to believe
that she is unworthy of anyone s admiration. This basic premise allows for Manley Pointer to easily
win Joy s trust. Flannery O Connorincludes this string of events in order to show the significant role

does not see herself as beautiful as such a name implies. In fact, the narrator says, she had thought

never wears dresses or anything nice. Instead, she chooses to wear a six year old skirt and a
yellow sweat shirt with a faded cowboy on a horse embossed on it (133). Hulga does not believe
that any amount of makeup or nice clothes can improve upon her ugliness. This low confidence
directly derives from her mother s dissatisfaction with her.

Because of her poor self image, Hulga Hopewell melts as soon as she sees that the Bible salesman
thinks that she is beautiful. He looks at her in a way that no one else ever has before. Manley
Pointer not only smiles at her, but gazes at her in admiration and tenderness. The mere idea that
this Bible salesman would be drawn to her leaves Hulga in complete astonishment and wonder. The
narrator describes Hulga s fascination with the boy s fondness by saying, It was like surrendering

one, including her mother, had ever seen Hulga as beautiful. For this reason, Manley easily wins her
