The center of Tropical Storm FERDIE was estimated based on


all available data at 1,210 km East Northeast of Extreme
Northern Luzon (25.5°N, 132.5°E)

Intensity

Maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center,


gustiness of up to 105 km/h, and central pressure of 992 hPa

Present Movement

West northwestward at 20 km/h

enhanced by FERDIE.

Severe Winds
The enhanced Southwest Monsoon will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and
upland areas exposed to winds):
 Today: Batangas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula,
BARMM, and Davao Region.
 Tomorrow: Batangas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula,
BARMM, and Davao Region.
 Monday (16 September): MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Caraga Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga
Peninsula, and Davao Region.

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS

24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook


 Moderate to rough seas over the following coastal waters:
 1.5 to 4.0 m: The western seaboards of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro.
 1.5 to 3.5 m: the western seaboard of Western Visayas, the western and southern seaboards of Negros Island Region,
the southern seaboard of Central Visayas, the southern seaboard of Eastern Visayas, the seaboard of Caraga Region, the
seaboard of Northern Mindanao, the northern and western seaboards of Zamboanga Peninsula, the eastern seaboard of
Davao Region, and the remaining seaboards of Palawan.
 1.0 to 3.0 m: The eastern seaboard of Eastern Visayas
 1.0 to 2.5 m: The northern seaboard of Ilocos Region, the northern seaboard of Cagayan Valley, the southern seaboard
of Quezon, the seaboards of Bicol Region, and the remaining seaboards of MIMAROPA, Visayas, Davao Region, and
Zamboanga Peninsula.
 Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these
conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels.
 Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters:
 Up to 2.0 m: The remaining seaboards of the country.
 Mariners of motorbancas and similarly-sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing
out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK

 Outside PAR, FERDIE is forecast to move generally northwestward towards Okinawa, Japan then west northwestward over the
East China Sea.
 FERDIE is forecast to re-intensify into a severe tropical storm today and the possibility of reaching typhoon category over the
East China Sea is not ruled out.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all
necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these
hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings,
thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products
issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.

Unless re-entry occurs, this is the final tropical cyclone bulletin. Further updates will be provided in the 24-Hour Public Weather
Forecast to be issued at 4:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
