5.2 Tool Box and Monthly HSE Meetings.
Toolbox meeting are held daily before the commencement of the day’s work, this
is to discuss the work task for that day, the hazard associated with each work
task and how to mitigate or control this hazards. Drills are conducted from time
to time to test the preparedness of the medic, fire and security team.
Mitigation/control of hazards like wearing the appropriate/complete PPE for the
work task, Isolation control, Elimination control, substitution control as well as
Administrative control are discussed.
Questions are been asked for clarification and the work force are well informed of
all safe work practice to carry out their various work task safely.
Monthly HSE meeting are held every month ending to discuss the peculiar
hazards associated with HDD activities and Hot work activities on site,
control/mitigation of this hazard are thought. Risk normalization and Risk
assessment are usually discussed.
Drills are conducted from time to time to test the preparedness of the medic, fire
and security team one site.
