DISPENSATIONAL CHART EXPLAINED

Abraham:
Land:
Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from
thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
Genesis 13:15-17 (15) For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy
seed for ever. (16) And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can
number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. (17) Arise, walk
through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
Genesis 15:7 And he said unto him, I am the Lord that brought thee out of Ur of the
Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.
Genesis 15:18 In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy
seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river
Euphrates:
Genesis 17:7-8 (7) And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed
after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and
to thy seed after thee. (8) And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land
wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I
will be their God.

Nation:
Genesis 12:1-3 (1) Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and
from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: (2) And
I will make of thee a great nation, (3) and I will bless thee, and make thy name great;
and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that
curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
Moses:
Exodus 19:3-6 (3) And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the
mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of
Israel; (4) Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles'
wings, and brought you unto myself. (5) Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed,
and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people:
for all the earth is mine: (6) And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy
nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light;
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to
offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 61:6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the
Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye
boast yourselves.

David:
Luke 1:31-33 (31) And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son,
and shalt call his name Jesus. (32) He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the
Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: (33) And he
shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Up to this point what we have found is that God called Abraham and made an EVERLASTING
covenant with his PHYSICAL seed to give them the land of Cannan for an everlasting
possession, and that he would make of him a GREAT NATION.
Then we found that God prophesied through Moses that this nation would be a peculiar
people and one day be a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.
And this nation would have a king that would sit on the throne of David and rule over the
house of Jacob forever and this kingdom would have no end.
The Kingdom Through Time: What Happened and What Will Happen:
The Kingdom was Prophesied:
Daniel 2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom,
which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it
shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

The Kingdom Was at Hand

Matt 3:1-2 (1) In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of
Judaea, (2) And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Matt 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of
heaven is at hand.
Matt 10:5-7 (5) These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not
into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: (6) But go
rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (7) And as ye go, preach, saying, The
kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The Kingdom was Offered

Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt
thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Acts 3:19-20 (19) Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted
out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. (20) And he
shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

*Did They Repent?

John the Baptist:

Matt 14:10-11 (10) And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison. (11) And his head was
brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.
Jesus:
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
John 19:15-16 (15) But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate
saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king
but Caesar. (16) Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they
took Jesus, and led him away.

Stephen:
Acts 7:55-57 (55) But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven,
and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, (56) And said,
Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of
God. (57) Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon
him with one accord,

*No, They Didn’t... So, What Happened?

The Kingdom is Postponed
Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest
ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until
the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

The Kingdom is Established

Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in
heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and
of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Matthew 4:8-9 (8) Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and
sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them. And saith unto him,
(9) All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which
believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God,
should shine unto them.
So, right now Satan is the god of this world, and he offered the kingdoms of this world to
Jesus when he tempted him in the garden of Gethsemane, but one day Jesus is going to come
and defeat Satan and TAKE the kingdoms of this world BACK from him BY FORCE.

Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in
heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and
of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Now, when this happens something else that we talked about earlier comes to pass too... Do
you remember what Moses said concerning what the nation of Israel would become for God?
Revelation 20:4-6 (4) And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was
given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of
Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his
image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they
lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (5) But the rest of the dead lived not
again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. (6) Blessed
and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no
power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a
thousand years.

Remember the verse we learned about Israel?

Ex 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the
words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

So, this is when this will come to pass during the millennial reign... what will happen?
Isaiah 61:6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the
Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye
boast yourselves.

So, in the millennium the nation of Israel will be a kingdom of priests an holy nation and a
royal priesthood TO THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD, while Jesus Christ sits on the throne of
David and reigns for a thousand years.
God’s Dealings with Gentiles Through Time...
IN TIME PAST:
Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh,
who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made
by hands;
Genesis 17:10-14 (10) This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you
and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. (11) And ye
shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant
betwixt me and you. (12) And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you,
every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money
of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. (13) He that is born in thy house, and he that is
bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your
flesh for an everlasting covenant. (14) And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of
his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken
my covenant.

Circumcision is a COVENANT that God made with Abraham and his FLESHLY SEED, this
covenant SEPARATED and CUT off anyone that was not a part of it, after the FLESH... Gentiles
were NOT a part of this Covenant.
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the
commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope,
and without God in the world:

“Without Christ”
Matt 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the
house of Israel.

When Jesus Shows up, he claims that he was not sent to the Gentiles, and he tell his disciples
not to go to the Gentiles either.
Matthew 10:5-6 (5) These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go
not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: (6) But
go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the
commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope,
and without God in the world:

During this time, (including when Jesus is on the earth) Gentiles are still in this position but
after that also.
Acts 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man
that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath
shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Acts 11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose
about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word
to none but unto the Jews only.

*BUT NOW
Romans 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but
rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to
jealousy.

Because Israel fell as a nation by rejecting the Messiah, God NOW offers Salvation to the
Gentiles
Ephesians 2:13-14 (13) BUT NOW in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are
made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and
hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (14) For he is our peace,
who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between
us;

RIGHT NOW, there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile, and physical circumcision is of
no profit, and Jews and Gentiles are in the same standing with God..., Sinners... that need to
GET IN CHRIST TO BE RIGHT WITH GOD.
Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor
Uncircumcision, but a new creature.
Colossians 3:11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision,
barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Ephesians 3:1-6 (1) For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, (2)
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
(3) How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in
few words, (4) Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the
mystery of Christ) (5) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men,
as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (6) That the
Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in
Christ by the gospel:

A person could not see in the Old Testament that God would make it so that Gentiles would
be fellow heirs with the Jews... all you could see was the distinction between Jew and
Gentile.
Ephesians 2:11-14 (11) Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the
flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh
made by hands; (12) That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the
Commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope,
and without God in the world: (13) BUT NOW in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far
off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (14) For he is our peace, who hath made both
one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

The dispensation in which we now live will end like this...

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (16) For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in
Christ shall rise first: (17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be
with the Lord.

*Ages To Come:
After the Dispensation of Grace ends the prophetic timeline will begin again. There will be a
time of tribulation.
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his
baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from
the wrath to come?
Jeremiah 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of
Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it.

When this tribulation is over it will end in Jesus Christ returning.

Revelation 6:12-17 (12) And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there
was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon
became as blood; (13) And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree
casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.14) And the heaven
departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were
moved out of their places. (15) And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the
rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every
free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; (16) And said to
the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the
throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: (17)For the great day of his wrath is come; and
who shall be able to stand?
Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in
heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and
of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
Matthew 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have
followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his
glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

During the Millenium, the nation of Israel will be a kingdom of priests, Jesus Christ will be
sitting on the throne in Jerusalem.

Remember what Jesus said to the nation of Israel in the gospels...

Matt 5:14-16 (14) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
(15) Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it
giveth light unto all that are in the house. (16) Let your light so shine before men, that
they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Isaiah 59:20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from
transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.
When is the redeemer going to come to Zion? 2nd Advent...
Isaiah 60:1-3 (1) Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon
thee. (2) For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people:
but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. (3) And the
Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

In the ages to come, the nation of Israel will be a light, and the Gentiles will come to that light
THROUGH the RISE of the nation of Israel similar to how the Queen of Sheeba came to
Solomon during the time of his reign over the nation of Israel
In conclusion, we looked at the kingdom through the bible and God’s dealings with the
Gentiles through the bible.
This does not conclude our study on this dispensational chart, there is more to go over, we will
have more studies in the future helping us to understand these things more perfectly. Until
next time remember, prove all things and hold fast that which is good. If you have any
questions or comments concerning this lesson, feel free to leave them in the comment section
below! Until next time... Be strong in the Lord and in the power of HIS might.
