EDITION 28 20th JULY 2018 ST. MARY’S SCHOOL, DWARKA

Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.‟ Albert Einstein
Our students are back to the school after the summer break and we hope they will work with renewed vigour and vitality.
Our elaborate planning enables our students to scale new heights of success, give them the international exposure and provide them with opportunities which
would prepare them to face the challenges that await them outside the school gates.
It is disheartening and sad to notice that some students choose to skip the important days and programmes of the school. We would appreciate maximum
participation of the students and support from the parents. We request the parents to go through the almanac and plan their vacation schedule accordingly, ena-
bling the students to actively participate in all the school activities.
From the Principal

Our right actions will send the right messages across to our children and they will never bear a casual outlook towards important matters in life. It is im-
portant that the children learn to be responsible and be accountable for their actions. Maintaining discipline and doing the right thing at the right time as well as
right place are the tenets that we wish our students to imbibe.
The students of Class X and XII will be taking Board Exams later this year. We are doing our best to prepare them and the same is expected from the parents.
Children need our special care and supervision. Just asking them to study does not serve the purpose. Every child has his/ her problem area which needs to be
identified. We need to be sensitive towards the challenges they may be facing and be there for them, so that they can talk about these hurdles freely. Effective
solutions can be found out only by communication and counseling. Proper guidance and support from both school and home will help them pass with flying
colours not only in exams but in life too.
The safety of our children in school is of utmost importance to us and prompt action is always taken in this regard. Our entire staff is very alert and sensitive
towards this but in spite of all the monitoring, there are days when an unfortunate incident does take place. In times of trouble, we expect the parents to be pa-
tient and show solidarity and faith in the actions taken by the school rather than standing up in arms against the School. Simply pointing fingers and adding to
the trouble should not be the approach.
It is a huge responsibility to raise children safely and also give them the correct education, values and life skills. Our objective is to make our students well –
rounded individuals, which can only be achieved if the school and parents work in tandem.
Looking forward to your support and cooperation.
God Bless
