SINDHI HIGH SCHOOL, HEBBAL

Greetings for the Academic Year 2022-23!!

A nation is advanced in proportion to education and intelligence spread among the masses
~ Swami Vivekananda

Education is not just a process of giving and gaining knowledge for a future job, but a lifelong process that
creates an understanding of moral and ethical values to guide one’s life and make our students the future
hope of our country.
A student who is taught discipline will learn the power of self-control. To be successful, we need
self-discipline which teaches us to sacrifice individual interests in favour of group interests.
As a parent, you want the best for your child and we are proud to be working with you as a team to ensure
that they are given the right knowledge to face the future challenges.
We hope to create an atmosphere of reverence for education and a healthy environment where academics,
sports, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities will mould our students and stimulate them to be the best.
In order to achieve this, parents and the school authorities must work together as a team to inculcate certain
values in the students. A student who has respect for the elders, especially teachers will be more receptive to
authority and learning. This will help to enable the student to get the best out of the school.

Wish you all a successful and rewarding year ahead!!

Mrs. Maithreyi Satyadev

Principal

Sindhi High School - Academic Assessment
"Assessment is the engine which drives student learning "
John. Cowan
Our school believes that assessments are of vital importance and play a crucial role in shaping the
future of students.
The assessment pattern at the pre primary stage is multi-modal and ensures that all aspects of a
child are been observed .Classes 1 and 2 are evaluated through six worksheets in a year. We at
Sindhi High School follow a series of continuous and comprehensive evaluation through a set of
three periodic tests and two exams( Half yearly and Annual) for classes 3 to 9.

Class 11 conducts two unit tests and two exams respectively throughout the year.

Class 10 and 12 also have two pre board exams along with their regular test and board exams.

Internal assessments are done according to the CBSE Board pattern.

The Quality of life is determined by its Activities

To give students an opportunity to showcase and hone their talents and also prepare them for
intra school competitions, club activities for the students of classes VI to X, were introduced by
our school . Club activities not only help the students to shape their personal interests and hob-
bies but also to improve their leadership and social skills. The students could choose from
Dance ,Music , Karate ,Scouts and guides depending on their interest.

A RAY OF HOPE
Life was peace
Until Covid's release
Nevertheless
We are a step away from our success

Nation's economy
Grew as worse as our agronomy
Commonly known as poverty
Grabbed our property

Unemployment grew
And switched our country's view
People starved throughout
With no doubt

Yet! We have a ray

Of hope
And that's what keeps us
Moving

THE KNIGHTS WHO WON THE FIGHT

Once upon a time,

A group of knights,
Were sailing through the night.
They were getting ready for a fight.
They were waiting for the light
To make the arena bright
To see the enemy in clear sight
They had to turn right
To reach the arena to fight
They reached the arena to fight
They fought with all their might
And finally won the fight
And won the prize, which was a kite.

Only One Earth
The Earth is fickle and to some extent weird but the only place which supports life. It is human nature
to create but something can be created only over the ashes of other. Writers and scientists imagine
Earth in very different ways. Poets and writers try to bring the beautiful and life-giving side of Earth in
ink and paper whereas scientists see it more as an escape pod from which everything is to be extract-
ed before eventually its demise. I see it as a home which we never leave, a home in distress but a
home for sure. There have been many instances where humans have run hollow campaigns and
movements to save Earth. We can only thank God for this article is written by a human (me). I don't
impose it upon humans to be heros but as a citizen, a member we must do all in our power to save
our roofs. To me its not an adventure, not a resource, not a life giver but only one Earth 'home' !

Importance of developing positive attitude in our lives.
‘Your Life is as Good as Your MindSet’.
The power of positive thinking is a remarkable thing. This attitude helps us to develop a thriving and proactive personality. A
positive predominant attitude nourishes our ‘mental – wellness’. Positive attitude is a mental set, a filter that admits into our
mind thoughts, words and images that help/propel our growth. A positive mind set anticipates happiness, joy and successful
outcome of every situation. Also, positive attitude brings inner peace, success, health, happiness and better relationship with
people around us.

Some tips on developing positive attitude

Love yourself, be kind to yourself.

Always use only positive words like ‘I can’, ‘I am able’, ‘it’s possible’.
Choose to be happy, focus on good things and find reasons to smile more often.
Start your day with positive affirmations.
Read at least one page of inspiring book every day.
Invest your time in a constructive hobby, find something that you love to do.
Spend time with people who are happy and positive.
Develop an attitude of gratitude, be grateful to all big and small things in your life.
Be mindful, be focused on the present.
Exercise regularly and eat healthy.
Learn from your failures and move on.
Recognise and control negative thinking.

Positive attitude helps us to cope more easily with our daily affairs. It brings optimism into our life and makes it easier to deal
with our negative thoughts. If we adopt it, work consciously and train our mind to think positively, it will bring constructive
changes in our life. With a positive attitude we will see the bright side of life, be grateful towards everything around us and
we expect only the best things to happen to us. Positive attitude is certainly a state of mind worth developing.

Moment of Calm
Pledge to forgive !
Pledge to remain peaceful !
The Moment of Calm is a Global Forgiveness Moment dedicated to bring calm and peace in our
lives through the power of forgiveness.
Sindhians celebrated this day, by observing silence on August 2 at 2 pm local time, as a time to
forgive and seek forgiveness .We, at Sindhi High School strongly believe when we do so in a col-
lective movement, it can emanate powerful vibrations that can envelope the world with love
and peace, which is much needed. It’s a gift we give to ourselves, the world and our future gen-
erations, so all the students from classes I to XII came together and wrote a short message to
make this world a more peaceful place.

Freedom is a priceless gem!

The first rays of the sun that illuminated the world

on 15th August 2022, revitalised the citizens of
India with a new promise and vigour, Sindhians
too joined the nation to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit
Uthsav ,the 75 years of Indian Independence. The
school was lit up with the colour of the national
flag as part of the Central Government's Har Ghar
Tiranga campaign. The tricolour was hoisted in the
school ground by our chief guest Shrichand
Kukreja and the members displayed their respect
to the nation by proudly saluting the flag. To make
this year remarkable, specially hand crafted
flags were given to the students with seeds in
them. The children presented an array of
programmes for which they had been enthusiasti-
cally preparing for the past few weeks. From the
soul stirring patriotic music, dance and poem
rendition to the thought for the day, speech, skit
and art work, students had it all. It was not just
paying homage to the heroes of our freedom
struggle but also driving home the point that one
has to value the liberty one enjoys,
by being a responsible citizen of this
great nation.
