Okay before we start, please fix your chairs

and pick up any pieces of trash you find near
to your seats. None sir

CHECKING OF ATTENDANCE

Miss Secretary do we have an absent today?

That’s great. It is nice to hear that no one is absent

(Students clap their self)
today. Let’s give ourselves five claps for having a
perfect attendance.

(Marlyn read the Classroom rules)

Very good, now that you are settled, Ms.
Marlyn would you mind to read the CLASSROOM RULES
classroom rules?
1. Listen to your teacher
2. Raise your hand before spea
Thankyou Marlyn! 3. Listen when others are talkin
4. Always do your best
I hope our classroom rules are clear.

B. Are you ready for today’s lesson class? Yes, sir

Establishing a
purpose for Very Good! But before that we will have a song
the lesson first for us to be fully energized. So let us have the
Math Song. So everyone sings,

M-A-T-H (2x)
I LOVE MATH (2x)
WE WILL PLAY WITH NUMBERS (2x)
(The students are singing)
I LOVE MATH (2x)
(Repeat all in a faster way)

So very good! In Math you only play with numbers.

So that we cannot take it as a burden. Is it
understood class?

3. MOTIVATION
Yes, sir
Before we proceed to our lesson for today let us
have an activity first entitled “I AM BRAVE”. So,
you are going to find the product of the following
question mentally, and then determine the letter that
matches your answer. When you are done you will
be able to decode the word and prove you are really
brave.

R 5x4

O 3x7

G 9x9

U 7x5

E 2 x 10

C 8x9
A 7x6

___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ____

72 21 35 20 42 81 20

Very Good! So let us give 5 claps for everyone!

What did you find out in the activity?

_C_ _O_ _U_ _R_ _A_ _G_ _E_

72 21 35 20 42 81 20
Exactly!
(The students are clapping)

We multiply numbers sir.

C. Presenting For today’s lesson, we will discuss about the

examples/ Multiplication of Integers under the Fundamental
instances of Operations on Integers.
the new lesson

At the end of the lesson, the student

But before that, Ms. Rachelle would you mind to
read the learning objectives? expected to:

a. define multiplication;

b. apply the rules of

multiplying integers; and

c. solve problems involv

multiplication of integer
D. Discussing Now let me ask you a question. How do we define
new concepts multiplication?
& practicing Times sir
new skills #1 Very Good, to understand more what multiplication
is let us have some examples. In a classroom, we
have 3 rows each and in each row, there are four
students who are seated in a chair. How many
12 sir
students are there?

So how did you come up with that answer?

Sir I just count the students who a
seated in the chair. And I use the
Very Good! And that is Multiplication. addition Method. 4 + 4 + 4 = 12.
Multiplication is a repeated addition. So the
solutions in our problem a while ago is 4 x 3= 4 + 4
+ 4 = 12

What if we extend this definition into multiplying

positive integers into negative integers? Let’s
consider this kind of scenario.

A boy loses P6 for 3 consecutive days.

(-6) x 3 = (-6) + (-6) + (-6) = -18

E. Discussing
This time are going to tackle the rules in
new concepts
& practicing multiplying Integers. So, we have 3 rules.
new skills #2
Rule 1: The product of two integers with the same
signs is positive.

Examples: 2 x 7 = 14
-3 x -5 = 15

Rule 2: The product of two integers with different

signs is negative.

Examples: 2 x -7 = -14

-3 x 5 = -15

Rule 3: ZERO PROPERTY. Any number

whether positive or negative, multiplied by zero is
equal to ZERO.

Examples: 0 x 757 = 0

0 x -1,505,780 = 0
Yes, sir!
Did you understand class?

F. Developing Let’s have a game, let us test your knowledge. We

mastery are going to have a game pack called Pass the Ball.
In this game, you have to pass the ball, and the last
person holding the ball when the music stops will
be the one to choose a letter for A to J with a
corresponding equation and has to identify its final
answer and give the rule that is present in the
equation.

A. 0 x 3,780 A. 0 x 3,780 = 0
B. -3 x -8 B. -3 x -8 = 24
C. 9 x -4 C. 9 x -4 = -36
D. 7 x 7 D. 7 x 7 = 49
E. 8 x -7 E. 8 x -7 = -56
F. -9 x -8 F. -9 x -8 = 72
G. -5 x -6 G. -5 x -6 = 30
H. 7 x -5 H. 7 x -5 = -35

G. Finding This time I will divide you into 3 groups. Each

practice group will answer a set of problems related to what
applications of
concepts and we discussed earlier using the instructional
skills in daily materials that we have. Afterward, select a member
living of your group to discuss in front your output.

Group 1:

8 x -5
-7 x -3
-8 x -8
0 x -6
10 x 4
-6 x 9

Group 2:

10 x -7
9x0
5x5
-8 x 6
-6 x -6
-7 x 8

Group 3:

11 x 0
10 x -8
6x7
-4 x -9
-7 x 9
0 x -12
