 Warm-up
 Safety Health Protocols
Selected, developed, organized and
used appropriate teaching and
learning resources, including ICT,
to address learning goals a. Begin the lesson by reviewing the previous lesson's content, which focused on analyzing
physiological indicators such as heart rate, rate of perceived exertion, and pacing associated
with moderate-to-vigorous physical activities (MVPAs) to monitor and adjust participation
or effort.
Applied knowledge of content b. Ask the students to recall the key concepts and skills they learned in the previous lesson,
within and across curriculum and encourage them to ask questions if there are any clarifications needed.
teaching areas. (*the teacher will flash the activity through PowerPoint slides)
B. Establishing a purpose for  State the objective of the lesson: "By the end of this lesson, you should be able to
the lesson (OBJECTIVE/S) observe personal safety protocols to avoid dehydration, overexertion, hypo-, and
hyperthermia during MVPA participation."
 Explain to the students that personal safety protocols are essential in ensuring that they
stay safe and healthy while engaging in MVPAs, particularly in extreme weather
conditions.
C. Presenting Examples/ Motivational Activity:
instances of the new lesson
Activity/ies
Activity 1: Guess What!

Guide questions:
1. What do you think our lesson for today?
2. Give ideas about sports injury and safety protocol.

D. Discussing new concepts Activity 2: Pass Me, Then Act Me

and practicing new skills #1 The teacher will play a song and the students will pass the box. When the song stop, the student
who is holding the box will pick a piece of paper do an action in front of the class.
(*the teacher will flash the activity through PowerPoint slide)

Guide questions:
1. What was the purpose of knowing the different kinds of injuries?

E. Discussing new concepts The teacher will discuss about Sports injuries and Safety Protocol
and practicing new skills #2
(*the teacher will flash the lesson through PowerPoint slides)
Guide Question:
Used range of teaching 1. Have you experienced any of the incidents reflected in the pictures above?
strategies that enhance learner
achievement in literacy and 2. When did you experience it?
numeracy skills 3. Where did it happen?
4. How did it happen?
5. What do you call these circumstances?
Applied a range of teaching
strategies to develop critical
and creative thinking, as well
Science – Understanding the body’s response to physical activity and temperature regulation
as other higher-order thinking
skills. Health – Identifying different kinds of injuries

Mathematics – Calculating the pulse rate

F. Developing mastery Activity 3: Safety Protocol Role-Play
(Leads to Formative Students will demonstrate their understanding of personal safety protocols by performing role-
Assessment ) plays that depict different scenarios during MVPA participation.
Used diffentiated, developmentally
appropriate learning experiences

applications of concepts and such as when exercising or playing sports, and remind them that these protocols are not only
skills in daily living applicable during MVPAs but also in everyday activities.
H. Making generalizations Facilitate a class discussion on the importance of personal safety protocols in physical activities,
and abstractions about the the effects of dehydration, overexertion, hypo-, and hyperthermia on one's health, and how to
lesson avoid these conditions.
I. Evaluating learning
Design a personal hydration plan for a week of physical activity. Calculate your fluid intake
and output during MVPA and make adjustments to avoid dehydration.
Designed, selected, organized and
used diagnostic, formative and
summative assessment strategies
consistent with curriculum
requirements.

J. Additional activities for Create a safety checklist for outdoor physical activities.
application or remediation

V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION Reflect on your teaching and assess yourself as a teacher. Think about your students’
progress this week. What works? What else needs to be done to help the students
learn? Identify what help your instructional supervisors can provide for you so when
you meet them, you can ask them relevant questions.
