Program Description:
The BS Architecture program has a total of 205 credit units. The program comprises of
general education, and technical courses which are: (mathematics, natural sciences,
basic engineering sciences, professional, allied, and specialization courses).
The general education courses are in accordance with the requirements of the CHED
Memorandum Order No. 20, s. 2013 – General Education Curriculum: Holistic
Understanding, Intellectual thinking abilities, and values formed from other methods
and theories of other disciplines.
Program Goals:
The BS Architecture program aims to produce graduates who are:
1. Able to acquire licenses and perform excellent competencies in the global and
local practice of architecture.
2. Consummate professionals, responsible, patriotic, and fair.
3. Receptive to new ideas and knowledge through scientific research;
4. Active supporters of architectural education to the needs and demands of society
and its integration into the social, economic, cultural, and environmental aspects
of nation-building
5. Understanding of the basic philosophy and fundamental principles of the multi-
dimensional aspects of architecture, and the direct relationship between man and
his environment.
Program Outcomes
At the end of the program, the graduate shall have the ability to:
A. Create architectural solutions by applying knowledge in history, theory,
planning, building technology and utilities, structural concepts and
professional practice.
B. Use concepts and principles from specialized fields and allied disciplines into
various architectural problems.
C. Interpret and apply relevant laws, codes, charters and standards of
architecture and the built environment.
D. Apply research methods to address architectural problems in the community.
E. Use various information and communication technology (ICT) media for
architectural solutions, presentation, and techniques in design and
construction.
F. Acquire entrepreneurial and business acumen relevant to architecture
