Reservation to Physical Handicapped Person is applicable as per
rules of Govt. of Jharkhand and guidelines of Ministry of Social
Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India.
These posts carry other allowances as admissible. The numbers of
posts may vary as per requirement.
Candidate have to log on website of NPTI before applying at
www.npti.in or on the website of JSEB at www.Jharkhand.gov.in for
the details regarding eligibility, reservation criteria, age relaxation for
different categories etc.
Candidates having engineering degree in Electrical or Electronic can
apply for both the posts of Assistant Electrical Engineer (General
Cadre) and Assistant Executive Engineer (GTO Cadre) Electrical/
Electronics. However they have to indicate the order of preference in
the application. Similarly candidates having diploma in Electrical or
Electronics can apply for both the posts of Junior Electrical Engineer
(General Cadre) and Junior Electrical Engineer (GTO cadre).However
they have to indicate the order of preference in the application.
Candidates are advised to possess a valid email ID which is to be
entered in the on-line application form.
The email address specified in the application should remain valid/
functional for at least 12 months from the date of submission of
application.
1. Job profile
General Cadre officer are posted in the Distribution wing of the
Board and are responsible for maintenance and development
of electricity supply to the consumers.
GTO cadre officers are posted at the Generation Stations,
Transmission Grid, Generation wing and Transmission wing of
the Board.
Civil cadre officers are posted in Jurisdiction of JSEB.

percentage of marks in engineering Degree course as
mentioned in Para 2(b) below.
2(b). For all the above Post , the minimum percentage of marks in the
Qualifying examination should be as under:
General Category: 65% , SC&ST:50%, BC&EBC:60%
3(a). The upper Age as on 31.12.2010 is :General Category: 35 years ,
SC&ST:40 years and BC&EBC:37 years.
3(b). The minimum age for all the above posts is 21 years.
3(c). The upper age limit for departmental candidates of JSEB is 50
years.
3(d). Age Relaxation for contractual employee of JSEB will be given to
the extent of completed year of service in the JSEB. Such
candidate must mention their completed year of contractual
service in JSEB in the application form
4. Reservation:
Reservation will be given in terms of reservation rules and policies
of Govt. of Jharkhand.
The benefits of reservation are available only to the domiciles of
Jharkhand. The candidates who claim for reservation benefits will
have to submit alongwith the application the caste and non-
creamy layer certificate issued by the SDO/ D.C. in the prescribed
proforma of Govt. of Jharkhand. Non- Creamy layer certificate
must not have been issued before six month from the date of
advertisement.
If a candidate does not produce valid and appropriate caste & non-
creamy layer certificate, PHP etc. in original at the time of
interview, his/ her claim of reservation will be forfeited and his/
her candidature will be rejected.
5. Selection Criteria:
I. Objective type Written test of 2 hrs. duration and will have
100 questions – 80 questions on concerned Technical
subject and 20 questions common to all relating to Aptitude
, reasoning and General awareness. The level of examination
will be of Degree/Diploma level for AE & JE respectively as
the case may be.
II. Final list of selected candidate will be drawn up on the basis
of aggregate of marks obtained in written test and interview
together.
6. Probation period:
Selected candidates shall be on Probation for a period of 3 years
from the date of appointment, as per rules.
7. Service Agreement bond:
All the candidates selected for appointment in the posts of
Assistant Electrical Engineer (General Cadre), Assistant Executive
Engineer (GTO cadre), Assistant Engineer (Civil), Assistant
Engineer (IT),Junior Electrical Engineer (General & GTO) & Junior
Engineer (Civil) will be required to execute a service agreement
bond of Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Only) for serving at least
3 (three) years in JSEB to be submitted in the prescribed format at
the time of joining.
8. Application fee:
A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 750/- is applicable for all
categories except SC/ST of Jharkhand domicile for whom it is Rs.
500/- .
Candidates have to obtain requisite Demand Draft prior to
applying online.
Application fees are acceptable only in the form of crossed demand
draft in favour of "National Power Training Institute" Payable at
Faridabad. The validity of bank draft must be at least six months
from the date of issue of this advertisement. The applicant must
write his name, online auto generated application number and
address on the back on Bank Draft. The application fee is non
refundable. Before submission of application candidate must
ensure that Bank draft is correct in all respect. In case of non
encashment of the Bank Draft or incorrect Bank Draft, the
application will be summarily rejected.
9. How to apply:
The applicants are to apply only through on-line on the website of
NPTI at www.npti.in or on the website of JSEB at
www.Jharkhand.gov.in The website shall be kept open from
15.12.2010 to 10.01.2011. After filling up the ON-LINE application
candidates have to take print out of the same. Print out of the
application along with copies of certificates of Age, Qualification,
Caste, PH and the Demand draft as specified on website should be
sent through registered post/ speed post to: The principal Director
(CP), National Power Training Institute, NPTI Complex, Sector-33,
Faridabad – 121003 (Haryana) so as to reach on or before the last
date i.e. 20.01.2011.
10. Documents to be submitted along with the application by post:
(i) Print out of the filled online application form having auto
generated Application number with two colour photographs
snapped within last 6 months duly signed and affixed on the
printout.
(ii) Demand Draft duly endorsed with your name and online
Application no. on the reverse.
(iii) Copies of certificates of Age, Qualification, Caste, PH( if
applicable).
General Instruction:
After applying ‘on-line’ , hard copy of the application along with
Demand draft and copies of all certificates has to be sent only
through registered/ speed post. No application will be
entertained or received through ordinary post/ private courier/
through person. The name of the post and post code must be
superscribed on the envelope containing the application. One
envelop should contain only one application.
The person employed in Govt./ Semi Govt. organization/
Public sector must also sent the additional copy of the print
out of the online application form through proper channel.
Advance copy may also be acceptable subject to fullfiling other
criteria. They must produce no objection certificate at the time
of interview.
The candidate will be liable for serious legal action if any false
information with respect of name, father's name, date of birth,
address, educational qualification, percentage of marks, caste
certificate, photographs etc. is furnished by him/ her.
Candidates are therefore advised to ensure that they meet all
the requirements of the post applied for.
The AEE/ JEE engaged on contract basis under Board's
Advertisement no. 01/06 may also apply under terms and
condition of this engagements as fresh candidates.
The written test will be held tentatively on 06.02.2011.
No T.A./ D.A. will be paid to the candidate, if called for written
test/ interview/ counselling.
The Jharkhand State Electricity board keeps right to cancel the
selection process at any stage and the number of posts to be
filled up may vary according to the exigencies of the Board.
One candidate is required to submit only one application form.
