INSTALLATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• MAN-cats II 10.01-12.01 program have to be installed and activated.


• Install dongle drivers (included in package).
• Install Windows Imaging Component (included wic_x86_enu.exe).
• Install Framework .NET 4.0 (web installer included). Standalone installer can be downloaded at http://www.microsoft.com/en-
us/download/details.aspx?id=17718
• Install MANdtSetup.exe.

MAN IMMO CACLULATOR

This program will calculate password for FFR-EDC pairing and key coding (programming).

To start you need to connect to the vehicle with MAN-cats, read all ECUs and request for a password by Fax.

Path in MAN-cats to request password:


[Vehicle Programming]
[Parameter Setting]
[Parameter Setting for the Immobiliser]
[Password application]
[Apply for password]
[By fax with vehicle] and continue with it till finish.

Go to [Activate password] and continue till you get option to enter it.

Start MAN Immo Calculator and press [Get It!]. Enter displayed password in MAN-cats.

MAN CONFIGURATION EDITOR

With this program you can edit MAN Customer (CDF) and Vehichle (VDF) Data Files.

To start you need to connect to the vehicle with MAN-cats, read all ECUs.

In MAN-cats go to:
[Vehicle Programming]
[Parameter Setting]
[Parameter setting with vehicle data when exchanging the control unit] and continue with it till ECU selection, after this exit this menu.

VDF and CDF files will appear in ..\MAN cats II\Runtime\Vdf.

To start programming in MAN-cats go to:


[Vehicle Programming]
[Parameter Setting]
[Flash programming/Parameters setting with conversion data file when making a conversion]

Menu

Menu [File] > [Open...]

Use to open configuration files.

Menu [File] > [Save...]

Use to save opened file. Before doing any modifications please use this to save original file to backup folder.

Main Section

Contains main information about vehicle and all available parameters in the loaded file. All Custom Parameters can be edited.

Main Section [Save Changes]

Use to save changes made in all Main Section. For files what require check sum it be automatically recalculated. When changing Custom Parameters you
need to save changes after each parameter modification.

Main Section [Fix Chk in File]

Use to fix file what require check sum if changes were made outside editor.

Main Section [<-Delete]

Use to delete selected parameter section.

Main Section [Delete->]

Use to delete the selected parameter.

ECUs Section

Contains all ECUs what are present on current vehicle and EOL information of every ECU. You can change part numbers, delete ECU from list, change
EOL data.

ECUs Section [Delete ECU]

Use to remove selected ECU from list, so it won't take part in programming. New list will be automatically saved to file so no need to press [Save
Changes] button.

ECUs Section [Save Changes]

Use to save changes made in all ECUs Section. For files what require check sum it be automatically recalculated. When changing EOL data you need to
save changes after each parameter modification.

ECUs Section [To Hex->]

Use to convert string to hex value, very useful when changing Chassis ID or VIN.
