SECTION B (35 Marks)

3. This comprise six (6) short answer items of which the candidates wiil be required to
provide brief explanations @ item carry two (2) marks hence a total of twelve (12)marks.

 Techniques used by British to occupy the cape.

- Portugal was a very poor Country in Europe,hence her colonies were not ready to
have peaceful transformation of power.
- Portugal believed that it had an everlasting civilization mission in Africa.

- Colonies were regarded as overseas provinces of the portuquese.
