Frame 1: Father is holding the baby and walking towards
the door of orphanage.
Frame 2: Father puts the baby down and walks away.

Scene 2:
(In a hospital)
Frame 1: Father anxiously waiting outside the operation
theatre.
Frame 2: Ward boy comes out of operation theatre and
hands over the baby to the father.
Ward boy: Congratulations! Mr.Saxena It’s a boy.
Father (in tears): Thank you so much!
(At home ):
Mother is holding the baby. Father is elated and
distributing sweets to the neighbours and relatives
Scene 3 (Establishment of baby boy):
Frame 1: A 5-6 months old baby boy being taken care by his
parents.
Frame 2: A 2-3 year old baby boy being pampered.
Frame 3: A 9-10 year old boy being pampered.
Frame 4: A 16-17 year old boy convincing his parents to give
him some money to party with his friends.
Son-Dad I am going to a party this weekend. I need some
money to spend.
Father- Sure, how much money do you want son?
Son-2 to 3 thousand rupees.
Father- Go ahead and take it from my wallet.
LEAP OF 10 YEARS
Scene 4 (In an interview):
Interviewer-So Ms. Arohi, what do you think which
profession deserves the highest pay and why?
Arohi- Sir, if you talk about the salary its not merely about
the money its the love respect and dignity which we give to
someone so if we talk about a profession on these terms a
mother deserves the highest pay because the love that she
shows is unparalleled and unbeatable.
Interviewer- One last question, Can you tell me the exact
centre of this table?
Arohi-It is here.
Interviewer-How come you are so sure about it?
Arohi-Sir as you said this was your last question and I have
already answered it.
Interviewer- Splendid! I think I have found the right
candidate. You have been selected, Congratulations!
Sub Scene 1 (Conversation with a friend):
Friend-Congrats! Buddy
Arohi-Thanks!
Friend-When are you going to throw a party?
Arohi-Maybe someday later.
Friend-Why?
Arohi-I have to go to the old age home
Friend (Disappointed)-Not Again!
(Arohi nods)
Friend-You’ll have to give a party next time.
Arohi- Okay…
Friend-Sure?
Arohi-100 percent
Friend-Okay then bye.
Scene 5 (Son receives a call from an unknown number.):
Frame 1-Son outside his office.
Gambler (Angrily)-Where are you?
Son-Outside my office.
Gambler-When are you returning my money?
Son-I need some time.
Gambler-I don’t want any excuses. I have given you
enough time.
Son-I am helpless please try to understand. I’ve got no
money.
Gambler-I don’t care how you get the money, I simply
want it back.
(Son is about to utter a word but gambler threatens him
and hangs up the call.)
Sub Scene (Son talks to his Friend):
Friend-Hey bro, How are you doing?
Son-Bro I am in deep trouble, I need some money as
soon as possible.
Friend-Hey! ,Why are you panicking so much? We’ll
figure it out.
Son-If my parents get to know about this, there will be
more trouble.
Friend-Come on bro, You are a rich brat right?, Why
don’t you use your parents property to get out of this
problem. Just a suggestion think about it
Son has a thoughtful look on his face and the scene fades
out.
Scene 6 (Son abandons his parents):
Sub Scene 1;
Son- Dad, I need to talk to you.
Father- Yeah, tell me son.
Son- Dad, I wish to stand up on my own legs in a few
years from now for which I’ve been thinking of investing on
a start up. I’ve planned everything for that, but the only
thing I need to arrange for is the initial capital.
Father-But son, we do not have so much of money. How
will I arrange for that?
Son-Dad, there is some property of yours. Can we
arrange something with that?
Father- Yeah son, we’ll think about it.
Sub Scene 2:
Father (holding a file)- Nisha, today our son was telling
that he’d be……
Mother (grabs the file and takes a glimpse of it)-What is
this?
Father(takes the file back)-I’ll tell you. Listen, our son
needs some money to start a company. So, I was thinking
that we could claim our property to our son so that we fulfil
his wish.
Mother- Are you inferring that we give away all our
property to him?
Father- Yes, you are right. I took this decision because
he is our only son and this is the least we could do.
Mother hesitantly agrees.
Sub Scene 3:
After some days, the father claims all his property in
his son’s name.
Son (to his parents)-Since I’ve inherited the property, I don’t
need you anymore.
Parents-No no, don’t do this to us son, listen to us….
The son slams the door on his parents’ face and abandons
them.
Scene 7 ( Arohi visits an old age home):
Frame 1: Arohi enters the old age home. She meets the
manager and an old man who lives there.
Arohi- Namaste uncle! Hope you are doing well.
Old man- Yes child, I’m doing alright. I’m seeing you
after a long time. God bless you!
Arohi ( looking at an old couple)- I haven’t seen them
before. Are they new here?
Manager- Yes Arohi,, they came here a couple of days
ago. They seem to be pretty disturbed.
Arohi- Why? What happened?
Manager- I don’t really know. Just talk to them and
find out. Even they might feel better.
Arohi approaches the old couple.
Arohi – Namaste uncle and aunty.
Father- Namaste
Arohi- Is everything alright? Is there something which
is bothering you?
Mother- When our own son is burdened by us and
abandons us, how could we even find a petty reason to be
happy?
Scene 8- Montage (Establishment of Arohi and the old
couple’s relationship, compilation of their special moments.):
1) A normal conversation between Arohi and the couple
2) Mother applying oil to Arohi’s hair.
3) Arohi teaches the father how to use a phone.
4) Arohi massages the mother’s feet.
Sub scene:
Friend: You seemed to be pretty attached to the old couple
Arohi. Seems like you enjoy spending time with them.
Arohi: Yeah, that is quite true. I lose track of time when I’m
around them. There is some unexplainable happiness and
content when I talk to them. They’re very nice people. How
can someone even think of abandoning such lovely parents?
Friend: I agree. How about you take them along with you, to
your home? That would be perfect. They are in need of home,
and you, in need of some supporting shoulders.
Arohi: But how can I just take them along? Will they even
agree to that?
Friend: Why not, Arohi. You will only know once you talk to
them about it. Besides, I don’t see any reason why they
would even say “no” to that. It is quite evident that even
they find solace when you’re around them. Just talk to them
about this.
The scene ends with a pondered look on Arohi’s face.
Scene 8:
Frame 1: Arohi entering the old age home with a box of
sweets.
Frame 2: Distribution of sweets to everyone.
Old man- Hello child, what’s the special occasion?
Arohi-Uncle, I’m so elated to tell you that I got promoted.
Old man- That’s a really great news. Congratulations. God
bless you!
Arohi (Touching the old man’s feet)- Thanks uncle.
Sub scene:
Arohi approaches the old couple, gives them the sweet and
takes their blessings.
Father-God bless you. Keep it up. May you conquer other
obstacles in your life and keep progressing like this.
Mother- Alas! I wish I had a wonderful daughter like you.
Arohi is puzzled and has a thoughtful look on her face.
Scene 9:
Frame 1: Arohi standing outside the old age home, facing
the doorway and thinking over her decision of taking the old
couple to her home.
Frame 2: Arohi goes inside the old age home and sits beside
the old couple.
Arohi (to the couple): I have something to talk to you.
Mother- Tell me, child. What’s happening?
Arohi: Aunty, I was just wondering if you and uncle could
come and stay with me?
Mother- But child, how can we…
Arohi- Aunty, please give it a thought. I really love spending
time with you both, I find comfort in your words. It would be
my pleasure to have you both in my home. I promise that I’ll
take care of you both really well.
Father- Look Arohi, after what we have done and gone
through, I think that it is best that we spend the rest of our
lives here. Our own son has abandoned us, so we don’t want
to be a burden for you as well.
Arohi: It’s not a burden uncle, it’s a privilege. I have never
received any love and affection from my parents so far and I
find that endearment and the warmth of being with parents
when I am with you. So, please come and stay with me. It
would be wonderful to have you there instead of an empty
lifeless house.
Father- Well, I am speechless. Even we have never come
across such a caring person like you. We felt delighted when
we spent time with you. You filled the void in us when we
had undergone the pang after our own son had abandoned
us.
Mother- Yes dear. That is true. I am so glad that you came
in our life like a blessing. We are equally happy to come and
stay with you.
Arohi is glad that the couple agreed to move in with her. All
the three thank the manager and leave the old age home.
