Colours of Life

SCENE 1
Aao tumhe saath le jaaye
Rango ki duniya dekhaye
Har rang ha kuch kehta
Aao isse hus ke aapnaye

NARRATOR 1: Look, everything is so bright and colourful around us.


NARRATOR 2: Yes, it is. So today we are going to take you to the world of colours.
NARRATOR 1: Oh really?
NARRATOR 2: Yes, the life is full of colours in which each colour brings a new charm.
NARRATOR 1: Chalo aao dekhey . What is the significance of red colour in our life?
NARRATOR 2: Do you know when the red color becomes the part of our life, then it signifies love. Now
let’s see its importance through an enactment.
GRANDSON: Grandpa, Grandpa …. Where are you? Look I am back from school. I guess everyone is
playing hide and seek with me. That’s why I can’t see anyone.
GRANDSON TO GRANDFATHER – Oh my God. Here are you all. But when you all were not around
me, I missed you so…. much.
GRANDFATHER: oh …I am unable to locate my reading glasses. Could anyone help me out?
GRANDSON – Yes Grandpa. I will be really happy to help you …………….
Oh. Here they are … you have kept it on the shelf and you forgot.
GRANDFATHER: Thank you, grandson.
GRANDMOTHER TO GRANDFATHER - You won’t be able to find anything on your own.
MOTHER – That’s ok mom. We are a family. We are here to help each other.

(father will enter with briefcase in his hand)

FATHER – so the family get together is going on. Am I right?


GRANDSON – Oh my dear dad. I am glad that you are back.
MOTHER – I am happy that our son is learning to help elders.
FATHER – Oh ... That’s great. We grow and our bond gets stronger when we help, love and care for each
other. That’s when we call it a happy family.

SONG - CHOIR

SCENE 2
(Grandfather is reading the newspaper, grandmother sitting in a corner and knitting a sweater. The father is
working on a laptop. Suddenly the phone bell rings.)

FATHER: Hello, may I know who’s this?


CALLER: A very good morning, sir. This is Mr. Jackson from Vasal Enterprises. I would like to bring it
to your notice that your transfer orders are out. You are requested to collect your transfer letter tomorrow at
10 AM from the Corporate Office.

FATHER: Right Mr. Jackson. Thank you so much for your kind information.

GRANDFATHER: Son, why do you look so worried? Is everything fine? Whose call was that?
FATHER: Dad, it was Mr. Jackson from Vasal Enterprises. He said that I have been transferred to Noida. I
have to move next week.

GRANDFATHER: Don't worry, son. It’s a part of life. Noida is a big city and you will definitely get
better opportunities. Moreover, your son will get good education in the premium school.

FATHER: I understand, dad. But what about you and mom?

GRANDFATHER: You just don't worry about us. I will take care of your mother. You go and be ready to
move.

FATHER: Yes, dad!!

NARRATOR: Father moved to Noida with his wife and son. Father becomes over occupied with his work
and mother remains busy in her household chores. And sadly, the child left unattended and kept himself
busy on the phone.

NARRATOR: After a few months, grandparents decided to visit them. They were shocked to see their
grandson addicted to the phone.

(DANCE PERFORMANCE ON MOBILES)


GRANDFATHER: Grandson, why are you so addicted to the phone? This is a sheer waste of time.

GRANDCHILD: Grandpa, I am exploring new values, not wasting my time. Don't be so conservative.

GRANDFATHER: Dear grandson, see you are becoming a prisoner of this phone. And the excess of
everything is bad. Everyone is ignorant of this. Let me show you what we did when we were of your age.
And how you can benefit from that.

(KIDFIT DANCE PERFORMANCE)


SCENE 3
NARRATOR: Getting to know the adverse effects of mobile on relationships, the grandson pledged not to
spend his time on mobiles any longer.

NARRATOR: Since the mother was expecting, the grandparents were worried about the well-being of
their daughter in law.

GRANDMOTHER: I am a bit worried about our daughter in law. They are living alone in such a big city.
And no-one is there to look after her.

GRANDFATHER: You need not to worry. They must be perfectly fine. We will definitely go to meet our
precious ones very soon.

(Phone bell rings. Grandfather puts the phone on speaker)

GRANDFATHER: Look, it's our son calling. Hello, _____. Hope everything is fine. We were just talking
about your well-being. How's (name of daughter in law)?
FATHER: Dad, I am so happy today. We are blessed with a daughter. God has been so kind to us. He has
answered our prayers.

GRANDFATHER AND GRANDMOTHER (TOGETHER): Congratulations my dear, son!! We are so


happy for you. God bless you!!

GRANDMOTHER: Thank you, dear God. Thank you so much!! (Thanks to God)

GRANDFATHER: We will be visiting there very soon. Maybe this Friday.

FATHER: Yes dad! We will be waiting for you. I have cherished so many dreams for my daughter. I can't
wait to see you all here with us.

(GIRL EDUCATION DANCE PERFORMANCE)

SCENE 4
Title: Making Her Dream Come True

INT. LIVING ROOM - DAY

The room is cozy but simple. The FATHER, in his mid-40s, is sitting on the couch, working on his laptop.
His DAUGHTER, about 12, enters the room with a drawing in her hand.

DAUGHTER: (Excitedly): Dad! Dad! Look at this!

(FATHER: Closes the laptop and smiles)

FATHER: What’s this, sweetheart?

DAUGHTER: It’s my dream! Shows him the drawing I want to be an astronaut one day and go to space.

(The FATHER looks at the drawing. It’s a colorful picture of rockets, stars, and her in a space suit.)

FATHER: Wow, this is amazing! You really want to be an astronaut?

DAUGHTER: (Firmly) Yes, more than anything! Do you think I can do it

(The father pauses for a moment, seeing her determination.)

FATHER: Of course you can. If it’s your dream, then we’ll do whatever we can to make it happen.

DAUGHTER: (Eyes wide) Really? But how?

FATHER: (Smiles warmly): One step at a time. We can start small. Let’s see... What if we go visit a space
museum next weekend? And maybe we can even look into some summer programs where you can learn
more about space.

(Her face lights up, excited beyond measure.)

DAUGHTER: That would be so awesome, Dad! I didn’t think you’d be able to help me with this!
FATHER: (Leaning down to meet her eyes) There’s nothing more important to me than helping you make
your dreams come true. We’ll figure out each step together.

MONTAGE:

The FATHER and DAUGHTER visit a space museum, where she looks in awe at rockets and space suits.

They sit together at a computer, researching online for programs and watching space documentaries.

She attends a space camp, her eyes wide with wonder as she talks with real astronauts.

INT. LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

Years have passed. The daughter, now a TEENAGER, sits with her FATHER, who looks older but just as
supportive. She’s showing him a letter.

TEEN DAUGHTER: Dad, I got in. NASA’s summer program for young scientists. I... I’m really going to
do this.

(The father beams with pride.)

FATHER: I told you. One step at a time, and now look where you are.

They hug, and the camera zooms in on the original drawing of her dream, now framed on the wall.

TEEN DAUGHTER: Thank you for believing in me, Dad. You made this happen.

FATHER: No, sweetheart. Points to her heart. You made this happen.

They embrace as the camera pans to the night sky, filled with stars.

(DANCE PERFORMANCE)
SCENE 5
NARRATOR: after few years, with their dedication and consistency, the girl became a renowned
astronaut and the boy became a successful sportsman. Let’s have a peek in their lives .

(Setup: father is in the living room, reading the newspaper. Mother comes and serve the tea, both of them,
sit together and have tea. While reading the newspaper, father saw the names of his children in the list
awardees of national of national awards of India. Father ‘s heart swell with pride.)

FATHER: Oh my! I can’t believe it.

MOTHER: what happened?

FATHER: our both the children are going to be awarded by the President of India.

MOTHER: Seriously! Show me where it is?

BOY/ GIRL: mamma, papa, mamma, papa We have something exciting to share with you. You know.
…..
FATHER / MOTHER: yes, yes You are being awarded by our honorable president. We are so proud of
you.

(Setup: boy touches the feet of the father and mother while the girl hugs them. Grandfather and grandma
enter)

GRANDFATHER: what is going on? What is the hustle about?

GRANDMOTHER: you all look very excited. What is it? Boy touches the feet of his grandparents while
girl hugs both.

GIRL/ BOY: grandpa, grandma, we have something to tell you on 26th January, we are being honoured by
our president.

(Grandma and grandfather, hugs them again and bless them.)

GRANDMOTHER, GRANDFATHER: we knew you will be successful one day. Thank God that we
have seen this day. All: Let’s celebrate this moment.

(Whole family hugs)
