TASK ONE(Modulation)
2.2.1/5
After setting all settings of tone frequency at 2 KHz, Vc at -4V and adder gain at
g=0.25 and G=0.25.
Here we can observe that green color signal is modulated signal and red signal is
covering the upper portion of modulated signal is input signal m(t).
Here A=3.25 , B=1.27 ; input = 0.4.
So modulation index is, = =0.4380
+
2.2.1/8
Now increasing gain of amplitude of message signal to a level where modulation
index is equal to 1. Am =1.63
2.2.1/9
Now increasing gain of amplitude of message signal to a level where modulation
index is equal to 1.5. Am =1.68
2.2.1/10
Ftone=5KHz , FC=100KHz
Ftone=5KHz , FC=80KHz
Ftone=5KHz , FC=120KHz
Ftone=2KHz , FC=100KHz
TASK TWO (Demodulation)
3.2.1/2
When modulation index is 0.5 and dc offset of -3.32.
Vmax=2.59 ,Vmin=0.81, dbVrms=-44
3.2.1/3
When modulation index is 1.
Vmax=1.66 ,Vmin=0.01, dbVrms=-50
3.2.1/4
When modulation index is 1.5.
Vmax=1.54 ,Vmin=0.33, dbVrms=-55
3.2.1/5
At Vc=-1.65v modulation index is 0.98 and at this point distortion of signal over-
modulation begins because we know the relation = and by relation it is
clear that if Am increases beyond that Vc then over-modulation will begin.
3.2.1/7
Using previous Gains modulated and demodulated signal will be like.
At =0.5.
At =1.
At =1.5.
