T-Mobile led the mobile market across key performance metrics
T-Mobile had the Best Mobile Network overall, and the Best 5G Network, among providers in Puerto Rico during 1H 2025. It recorded a median download speed across all technologies combined of 179.03 Mbps, and a median 5G download speed of 206.35 Mbps, while also offering the best mobile video streaming experience, and 5G gaming experience.
Liberty best for ISP video streaming experience
Liberty offered the best ISP video streaming experience in Puerto Rico during 1H 2025, with a Video Streaming Score of 76.72 out of 100.
Claro the fastest fixed ISP in Puerto Rico
Claro had the best Best Fixed Network in Puerto Rico during 1H 2025, and was the fastest ISP in the market, with a median download speed of 125.13 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 110.13 Mbps. It also offered the best ISP gaming experience in the market.
Cataño and Trujillo Alto were the top performing cities in Puerto Rico
Among the most populous cities in Puerto Rico, Cataño recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 167.45 Mbps, while Trujillo Alto outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 166.64 Mbps.

Cataño had the fastest median mobile download speed among Puerto Rico’s most populous cities, recording 167.45 Mbps. Guaynabo was second, followed by Trujillo Alto in third. At the other end of the scale, Caguas had the slowest median mobile download speed at 74.08 Mbps, followed by Carolina and Ponce. T-Mobile was the fastest provider across ten cities.

Trujillo Alto had the fastest median fixed download speed among Puerto Rico’s most populous cities, recording 166.64 Mbps. Carolina was second, followed by San Juan in third. At the other end of the scale, Guaynabo had the slowest median fixed download speed at 118.55 Mbps, followed by Cataño and Mayagüez. Liberty was the fastest provider across six cities followed by Optico Fiber in two.
