Yettel led the mobile market across key performance metrics
Yettel was the fastest mobile provider in Hungary during 1H 2025, across all technologies combined, as well as specifically for 4G-LTE and 5G. It recorded a median 5G download speed of 369.08 Mbps, and an upload speed of 37.18 Mbps.
Yettel and One offered the best gaming experiences
Yettel offered the best 5G gaming experience in Hungary during 1H 2025, while One recorded the best gaming experience among ISPs.
Telekom the fastest fixed ISP in Hungary
Telekom was the fastest ISP in Hungary during 1H 2025 with a median download speed of 274.72 Mbps, and a median upload speed of 90.12 Mbps.
Szombathely and Miskolc were the top performing cities in Hungary
Among the most populous cities in Hungary, Szombathely recorded the fastest median mobile download speed of 130.9 Mbps, while Miskolc outpaced the other cities to record the fastest median fixed download speed, with 250.88 Mbps.

Szombathely had the fastest median mobile download speed among Hungary’s most populous cities, recording 130.9 Mbps. Szeged was second, followed by Budapest in third. At the other end of the scale, Székesfehérvár had the slowest median mobile download speed at 70.04 Mbps, followed by Kecskemét and Győr. Yettel was the fastest provider across ten cities.
Regional Performance
Budapest had the fastest median mobile download speed among Hungary’s regions, recording 89.02 Mbps. Somogy County was second, followed by Vas County in third. At the other end of the scale, Nógrád County had the slowest median mobile download speed at 43.74 Mbps, followed by Heves County and Pest County.

At the other end of the scale, Kecskemét had the slowest median fixed download speed at 107.64 Mbps, followed by Győr and Szombathely. Telekom was the fastest provider across five cities, followed by One in two.

Heves County had the fastest median fixed download speed among Hungary’s regions, recording 245.65 Mbps. Budapest was second, followed by Nógrád County in third. At the other end of the scale, Bács-Kiskun had the slowest median fixed download speed at 113.11 Mbps, followed by Somogy County and Vas County. Telekom was the fastest provider across 15 regions, followed by One in two.
