      I LOVED this book! I haven’t read a book this good in years. Ah, it had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I can’t wait to dive into the next one!!!

      Great storyline brought to life so well by the reader. I listen to a LOT of audiobooks and she may be the very best at bringing the characters to life.

      I LOVE this saga but this is my least favorite book of it. For someone who has lived a lot of years and 'loves' Poppy, Hawk acts very immature and selfishly.

      Loved!! So good!! It took a couple chapters to get into it but then definitely hooked. Great story/plot. Can’t wait for the next book! I’ll be listening to the full dramatic audio book version :-)

      not gonna lie, it took a LONG MINUTE to get into the FMC, but STICK IT OUT! by chapter 24 i got really into it and COULD NOT put it down. looking forward to the next book...

      Had read reviews that it was a lot of sexual scenes and there used to be but more towards the end of the book. The creativity with the world building is incredible and very intriguing, a very easy book to lose yourself in.

      My goodness this series is intense! I couldn’t stop listening. I seriously listened at every moment I had free time. Most nights I couldn’t sleep because I needed to find out what happened next! Stina Nielsen is an amazing voice actor! This story should be a movie series. Thank you Jennifer for this great story. I’m actually listening again for the second time.

      If you can get over the author naming the heroine Penellafe (yes, it’s pronounced like Penelope, but with an ‘F’), aka “Poppy,” the immediate misuse of the word unconscious for the appropriate word, subconscious, along with the first few chapters being not just boring, but not helpful either, this book is for you. I’m still not quite sure what world the author is attempting to create. In no way does she explain this world at any understandable level. There are seems to be an almost stream of consciousness writing as far as the plot goes and the dialogue between the heroine and her love interest is … if I’m putting it nicely… disinteresting? If you liked ACOTAR or any other type of fae smut, this just isn’t at the same level. It is, however, multi-booked and available in audio, so I will continue to plod on rather than listen to the news or the sounds of my children screaming at each other.

      I loved it!! The few first chapters were a little bit confusing and hard to follow, but I managed to resist the urge to stop. And I couldn’t be more glad with that decision. Poppy is a great character, she is not just some helpless maiden. And Hawk? I can just say OH MY HAWK ;)

      I DNF'd this book twice. I went back a third time and refused to give up. I'm so glad I did. The narrator, Stina Nielsen, is very dramatic and challenging to get used to. She was also the voice of Nesta in ACOSF, and I will forever associate her with that character. If you keep going, The plot will kick in and distract you from the narrator, and then eventually, you won't notice her as much. I like the slow-burn romance and am very intrigued by the male protagonist. He's a good guy and not a good guy, and I like the complexity. It ends on a great cliffhanger, and you will want to read book #2, which is even better than book #1.

      MY MIND IS BLOWNNNNNNNN. I could not stop laughing at some parts but the ending, yeah. Didn’t see that coming.
